Hello,
I have a specific question about VR and AR in professional use.
VR and AR can be used in controlling robots and machines. This is possible if the VR and AR devices and robots are networked together. I wonder how this can be used to help foreign employees understand the language better. After all, virtual control is precisely what reduces the need for language skills. Is there any opinion or scientific source on this?
Thanks a lot!
I created a system that continuously classifies the system's state by reading sensor data (time series data) connected to this device. The goal of this effort is to reduce bandwidth and latency by utilising device computing via the cloud, fog, and edge. So kindly advise me on how to plot, or rather, what should be plotted, to demonstrate why on-device computing is more efficient than cloud, fog, or edge computing in terms of bandwidth and latency. Also, please share any similar resources. Thank you.

The technology-centered approach of Industry 4.0 has proved improper since the lack of a human impact in the application of this concept. Therefore, the wave of change has effects that go far beyond technological transformation. Such a transformed industry requires new knowledge and skills of both engineers and workers. Hence, the European Commission adopted an official document presenting Industry 5.0 and emphasizing the main role of the research and innovation sector to support industry in its long-term service to humanity. The question is how to bring humans back to the forefront while maintaining the digital agenda and emphasizing sustainability and resilience with the aim to develop human-centric smart manufacturing systems?

(I posed a question about this, and realized it probably should be a discussion. Let's see how that works!)
We're working on a concept which we hope may help accelerate the development of new IoT + AI applications in support of advanced #telehealth , #mobilehealth , #remotecare and #hospitalathome applications. It's a free community sandbox to reduce dev costs and encourage collaboration.
After we were challenged (by the @ResearchGate platform) to state a general hypothesis for the project, we worked backward and outlined a chain of major and minor hypotheses that (if at least partially valid!) would support our project design. It's an interesting exercise in unpacking the core thinking behind a new initiative. Attached is a graphics of the hypotheses.
Please let us know what you think! And if you're interested, we're setting up series of brief virtual interviews with potential participants and partners to help us refine the concept.
We're working on a free program to support new projects that connect AI / ML with IoT and IoMT technologies to address current and future healthcare challenges
The idea is to find out what tools and platforms would be useful across different projects, and then integrate them into a shared "sandbox" that could save time for researchers, and make collaboration between project teams easier. Our long-term goals is to help accelerate development of advanced telehealth applications, in order to improve healthcare access and equity.
If you are or have been involved in related projects, we'd like to ask you a few question (on phone or via email) to get your feedback on the concept.
Send me a message if you'd be willing to correspond, and please refer us to others you think might be interested.
Thanks very much!
Please suggest upcoming virtual conferences related to Blockchain, IoT, Network, Smart Technology, etc.
While MOOCs are unlikely to lead straight to a degree (except for a few advanced programs), MOOCs may be seen as the first opportunity to receive a free college education. In other words, you can use an experience obtained from a free online Masters degree program to "test out" classes at a college or university based on competencies. However it may be imperative for getting online certifications that will (at least) significantly reduce the time and the expense of college. Additionally, whether we are searching mainly for work training or knowledge rather than college credits, all of these places are perfect ways to get free tuition.
Is there any update n masters which can be done online?

Would you please suggest to me a Q1 or Q2 subscription journal (without any publishing fee) in various areas of computer networks and the Internet of Things with a fast-processing time and no limit to publishing the number of free pages (unlike IEEE IoT, IEEE Systems, IEEE Sensors, etc.)? Unfortunately, journals such as Computer Networks, Computer Communications, and FGCS have slowed down a lot in the last year or two, especially in the process of initial review by editors and assignment of reviewers.
How do we assess or analyze how many numbers are sensors are needed.
Hi everyone,
I'm a master's student and I need an IoT Thing Description dataset for my thesis. Not the measurements of IoT devices but thing desciptions, for instance in W3C TD format, or in any other format.
So far, I've found 2 but these are not enough. I'm putting them here just in case somebody else needs it.
- W3C TD: https://github.com/w3c/wot-testing/tree/main/events
- OGC SensorThings API: https://archive.opensensemap.org/
Does anybody else has/know a thing description dataset? Doesn't have to be in a specific format.
Kind regards,
Erkan
After elaborate identification of faculty development program I found the following list of programs which can specify the the need for true, comprehensive and complete space-time analysis to address semantic and space-time scales was stressed, using scalable algorithms and infrastructure for large volumes of data. Fourth, means were thought necessary to represent and utilize and analyze data and information quality, reliability, and confidence. This implies the need to determine (1) what information is needed by particular users and the appropriate evaluations methods, and (2) how to make information on certainty or uncertainty useful and to support reasoning with uncertainty and with heterogeneous kinds of information. Lastly, the group discussed the need to develop adaptive visual analytic methods that support a range of users, uses, and devices across a range of interaction science issues; human-algorithm interaction; speed of response to support interaction; sensitivity assessment in real time; and uncertainty representation.
The information can be strengthened provided we can get more analytical information

Blockchain, tangle, hash graph are some options of DLT. When considering IoT, what are the best DLTs for each of the possible scope? What is the best option for registering measurements data? Or for the control plane? Or for virtual network functions? Or for IoT services? What do you think, the same solution can handle several issues on the convergence of DLT and IoT?
There has been tremendous growth in the number of smart devices and their applications (e.g., smart sensors, wearable devices, smartphones, smart cars, etc.) in use in our everyday lives. This is accompanied by a new form of interconnection between the physical and digital worlds, commonly known as the Internet of Things (IoT). This is a paradigm shift, where anything and everything can be interconnected via a communication medium. In such systems, security is a prime concern, and protecting the resources (e.g., applications and services) from unauthorized access needs appropriately designed security and privacy solutions. Building secure systems for the IoT can only be achieved through a thorough understanding of the particular needs of such systems.
Hello All,
I am currently investigating different standards related to IoT security. I am interested in EU-related or any International standards applicable to Security aspects of IoT devices. I came across a few standards and regulations like IEC 62443, ENISA, ETSI. But I would like to know more if there are any and also any published paper or article which has covered these things and evaluated using some metric.
Can anyone please let me know if there are any more standards (relevant to software updates and Embedded Linux based IoT in particular)?
Thanks in advance.

Could any one suggest some good resources of online unsupervised anomaly detection for streaming data.
Researchers are now employing wifi sensing and wifi csi to design and develop various activity detection, heart beat monitor, and other devices. They train the data in an environment using machine learning or deep learning technology.
My issue is that because the wifi csi is highly sensitive to the environment, how will it operate if the environment changes, for example, if I train it at home and then use it in my workplace room? Is it necessary to train before attempting to use each environment?
In general the performance of a system is directly proportional to the system configuration. However, in context to IoT, the devices have limited computation power, storage, energy etc.
I want to simulate and test different type of situation in an IoT based smart home system. Hence I need some suggestions of suitable software to experience the environment virtually. Following that, I would like to implement too.
Can someone guide me a little? I am working on my Thesis related to IoT Security. Can you specify some major/challenging topics related to the Network Security of IoT Devices using Artificial Neural Networks? Any Precise topic/area in this field pls?
Your response in this regard will be highly helpful for me.
Thank you
What is the target wireless technology for IoT and I4.0? Licensed or unlicensed. We have seen a tentative of wireless operators and manufacturers in selling 2G, 3G, 4G, and now 5G as the key technology for IoT and I4.0 applications. Also, unlicensed technologies based on IEEE 802.11 and 80.15.4 standards come to the table as promising solutions. Coverage, interference, data rates, quality of service, and delay are some constraints to be considered when defining a wireless solution. What is the target wireless technology for IoT and I4.0 in this decade?
Could any one please help me in suggesting some resources where I could find a comparison curve between signal strength after Multi Path propagation effect with respect to obstacle positions between transmitter and receiver.

Righteousness and Justice are common buzzwords often used interchangeably that we use in the present data-driven world and without knowing what exactly it mean. The current world has Courts of Justice as part of the legal system. As many or most use the said terms inappropriately and in a meaningless way, and being even the most bright scholars and pundits have only vague ideas about it, let us have a discussion about "What is Righteousness? and how it differ from Justice?", to bring out the real meaning of "Righteousness" and to bring about a righteous society.
This concept (the Internet of Things - IoT) has become increasingly popular. It is expected to offer promising solutions to transform the operation of existing industrial systems such as manufacturing and transportation. However, no studies/papers seem to be available on how advantageous (or disadvantageous) has been the implementation of IoT in industry. Could you provide me with some real evidence/specific cases on this issue?

The goal of predictive analysis is to develop predictions for the development of complex, multifaceted processes in various fields of science, industry, economy or other spheres of human activity. In addition, predictive analysis may refer to objectively performing processes such as natural phenomena, climate change, geological, cosmic etc.
Predictive analysis should be based on taking into account in the analytical methodology possible the most modern prognostic models and a large amount of data necessary to perform the most accurate predictive analysis. In this way, the result of the prediction analysis performed will be the least subject to the risk of analytical error, ie an incorrectly designed forecast.
Predictive analysis can be improved by using computerized modern information technologies, which include computing in the cloud of large data sets stored in Big Data database systems. In the predictive analysis, Business Intelligence analytics and other innovative information technologies typical of the current fourth technological revolution, known as Industry 4.0, can also be used.
The current technological revolution known as Industry 4.0 is motivated by the development of the following factors:
Big Data database technologies, cloud computing, machine learning, Internet of Things, artificial intelligence, Business Intelligence and other advanced data mining technologies. On the basis of the development of the new technological solutions in recent years, dynamically developing processes of innovatively organized analyzes of large information sets stored in Big Data database systems and computing cloud computing for the needs of applications in such areas as: machine learning, Internet of Things, artificial intelligence, Business Intelligence are dynamically developing.
For the abovementioned application examples, one can add predictive analyzes of subsequent, other fields of application of advanced technologies for the analysis of large data sets such as Medical Intelligence, Life Science, Green Energy, etc. Processing and multi-criteria analysis of large data sets in Big Data database systems is carried out according to V4 concepts, ie Volume (meaning a large number of data), Value (large values of certain parameters of the analyzed information), Velocity (high speed of new information) and Variety (high variety of information).
The advanced information processing and analysis technologies mentioned above are used more and more often for the needs of conducting predictive analyzes concerning, for example, marketing activities of various business entities that advertise their offer on the Internet or analyze the needs in this area reported by other entities, including companies, corporations, institutions financial and public. More and more commercial business entities and financial institutions conduct marketing activities on the Internet, including on social media portals.
More and more public institutions and business entities, including companies, banks and other entities, need to conduct multi-criteria analyzes on large data sets downloaded from the Internet describing the markets on which they operate, as well as contractors and clients with whom they cooperate.
On the other hand, there are already specialized technology companies that offer this type of analytical services, including offering predictive analysis services, develop custom reports, which are the result of multicriteria analyzes of large data sets obtained from various websites and from entries and comments. contained on social media portals based on sentiment analyzes of the content of entries in the comments of Internet users.
Do you agree with my opinion on this matter?
In view of the above, I am asking you the following question:
How can you improve the process of predictive analysis?
Please reply
I invite you to discussion and scientific cooperation
Dear Colleagues and Friends from RG
The key aspects and determinants of the applications of modern computerized information technologies for data processing in Big Data and Business Intelligence database systems for the purpose of conducting predictive analyzes are described in the following publications:
I invite you to discussion and cooperation.
