Introduction
Mahdi is an associate professor at Urmia University, his research focused on the kinematic evolution of the deformed regions. His methods consist of field base structural analysis and investigation of microtectonic to constrain deformation conditions. The structural evolution of the geothermal fields and numerical modeling of geothermal reservoir and structures are one of the other subject areas of his research.

Shear zone development in the Zagros orogenic belt is a result of the oblique collision of the Arabian plate with the Iranian plateau. To distinguish areas deformed during the collisional phase from those deformed by post-collisional events, the coaxiality of deformation and the shape of the strain ellipsoid (SES) have been analyzed. The variation...

Post Eocene silica vein emplacement at a brittle shear zone in NW Iran is associated with Au, Cu and Mo mineralization. The orientation and abundance of veins are dominantly controlled by the fault and fracture pattern. Within this context, we have analyze the spatial and geometrical properties of the faults and fractures affecting vein emplacement...

The Misho complex in Northwest Iran is a prominent topographic massif bounded by well known active faults. Our new structural analysis of this area indicates that faulting has important role in the exhumation of this complex. The conjugate orientation of the North and South Misho Faults caused uplift in the Misho and exhumation of the Precambrian c...

The Salmas geothermal field is located in NW Iran. Subduction of Neo‐Tethys oceanic crust beneath the Iranian microcontinent caused to propagation of the magmatic‐Arc. Fractures and faults in the convergent zone have created path‐ways for the circulation of geothermal fluid. Fracture concentration in the Salmas geothermal field has been characteriz...

The plutonic units in the northwest of Sanandaj-Sirjan Zone emplaced under different thermal and stress regimes. Primary biotite was changed by hydrothermal fluids into illite, muscovite, and sericite, and phyllic and argillic alteration spread across the plutonic units. The intrusion margins exhibit propylitic alteration. The emplacement temperatu...

In this research the impact of structural controlling factors in the fluorite mineralization was evaluated, north west of the Sanandaj-Sirjan metamorphic zone. The structural and microstructural analysis indicated the major structure in the Bagher Abad region is fold related structures and shear fractures that cut the fold axes are the host for flu...

The closure of the Neo-Tethys ocean associated with the ophiolite obduction and the Oshnavieh ophiolite is the unknown part of the Neo-Tethys suture zone. Three well-known band ratio combinations applied to ASTER satellite image the result shows the ((2+4) /3, (5+7) /6, (7+9) /8) band ratio is the proper combination for the reorganization of rock u...

Circulation of hydrothermal fluid generally led to propagation of alteration zone. this zone development is related to the effective structure at a region, for this evaluation of alteration zone give valuable data about the structures. The study area located NE of Marivan city and is a part of Zagros collision zone. The structural analysis in the s...

The khoy ophiolite is a part of Sanandaj-Sirjan structural zone at NW Iran. This region have complicated deformation history because of geodynamic setting and ophiolite obduction prossess, and several deformation phase affacted rock units in this area. The shear zone have important role in the circulation of hydrothermal fluid and concentarion of c...

Fluorite mineralization is controlled by the multiple geological processes such as structural control, geochemical characterization of hydrothermal fluids, temperature and depth. The mineralization associated with the alteration of the host rocks and trapping of fluid in the host rock crystallographic defects. Alteration in the host rocks due to ci...

The northeastern part of the Tabriz, Khaje area has been studied to determine the relationship between the orientation of local structures and regional tectonics, and the influence of both on salt deformation. All the pre-Pliocene sedimentary rocks in the area belong to the Miocene Upper Red Formation. Sand-stones form most of the outcrops because...

The most part of barite deposits in the NW Iran have been epigenetically formed in the form of veins, fracture, and/or open-space fillings. For this reason, structural evaluation is the important factor for investigation of the barite mineralization in the host rocks. Fault and fracture are the predominant structures that can be distinguished in th...

The study area is located west of Lake Urmia and is based on the division of structural zones, the study area in Khoy-Mahabad unit escapes. The area is affected by tectonic events, which causes the magma to concentrate, magma's motion, and alteration of rocky units.Using satellite and satellite images, a map of algebra was derived using a linear ma...

In the mineral exploration lack of knowledge about the structural controller such as folds and faults led to imposing costs in the project. In this research program we used numerical models (finite elements) to simulation of fold growth and drown stress and strain curves per time or displacement per time. We divided folds base on morphology to thre...
