Background and aim Acute liver failure (ALF) poses a serious public health issue. The Menstrual blood‐derived mesenchymal stem cells (MenSCs) have been applied to cure various liver‐related diseases. However, the efficacy and mechanism are far from clear. This study aims to explore the efficacy and potential mechanism of MenSCs to cure ALF. Method...

The association between central lymph node metastasis (LNM) and risk factors, including the presence of the BRAF mutation, BRAFV600E,in patients with papillary thyroid cancer (PTC) requires further investigation. A potent risk factor that can indicate LNM in different histological subtypes of PTC and in different preoperative central lymph node sta...

The role of telomerase reverse transcriptase (TERT) gene promoter mutations in the aggressiveness of papillary thyroid cancer (PTC) remains to be further investigated. Here we examined the relationship of TERT promoter mutations and BRAF V600E with the clinicopathological features of PTC in 653 patients. Sanger sequencing of genomic DNA from primar...

Background: The purpose of this study was to evaluate the clinical significance of the involvement of collateral vessels in interventional therapy based on the angiosome concept for infrapopliteal critical limb ischemia (CLI). Patients and methods: We enrolled 486 patients with unilateral infrapopliteal CLI (Rutherford stage 5 to 6) treated at t...

Background: The sentinel lymph node (SLN) is defined as the first draining node from the primary lesion, and it has proven to be a good indicator of the metastatic status of regional lymph nodes in solid tumors. The aim of this study was to evaluate the clinical application of SLN biopsy (SLNB) in papillary thyroid carcinoma (PTC) with occult lymp...

This study aimed to evaluate the potential relationship between Hashimoto's thyroiditis (HT) and BRAF(V600E) mutation status in papillary thyroid carcinoma (PTC) patients. A total of 619 PTC patients who underwent total thyroidectomy with lymph node dissection were enrolled. Univariable and multivariate analyses were used to further analysis. HT wa...
Article
The purpose of this study was to present our evaluation of the relationship between the number of positive central lymph nodes and lateral lymph node metastasis in patients with papillary thyroid microcarcinoma (PTMC). Up to 141 patients with PTMC were divided into 3 groups according to different positive central lymph node classifications as follo...

The present study was to evaluate the value of miRNA-30a in plasma as potential tumor marker in detecting breast cancer (BC). Using a novel approach to extract miRNA-30a from the plasma followed by real-time quantitative polymerase chain reaction (RQ-PCR) analysis, levels of miRNA-30a were quantified in plasma specimens of 100 BCs and 64 age-matche...

Lateral lymph node metastasis is common in papillary thyroid microcarcinoma (PTMC). The present study evaluated the clinicopathologic characteristics and ultrasonographic (US) findings in predicting lateral LNM from PTMC in eastern China. A total of 176 patients with confirmed PTMC by final histological examination who underwent central lymph node...

Question
Hi Guys,
Does anyone know some specific chemicals or reagent can cause hyper-methylation status for genes. Specifically, I identified some high expression target genes and found they are hypo-methylation status compared diseases to normals. To investigate the potential association between methylation and those genes, I plan to add some kind of chemicals that can induce the methylation status from hypo- to hyper-methylation. Then, I can assay the change of gene expression. I know 5-AZ can inhibit the methylation status, so is there any reagent can have an opposite effect?
Many thanks
