The paper reports the use of pulse velocity to assess the strength of steel fibre reinforced concrete at early ages from 3 to 24 hours. the effect of fibres on shear strength at early ages was also studied. The results showed that the addition of steel fibres increases pulse velocity, cohesion strength, and the angle of internal friction.
