This paper presents two key data sets derived from the Pomar Urbano project. The first data set is a comprehensive catalog of edible fruit-bearing plant species, native or introduced in Brazil. The second data set, sourced from the iNaturalist platform, tracks the distribution and monitoring of these plants within urban landscapes across Brazil. The study encompasses data from all 27 Brazilian state capitals, focusing on the ten cities that contributed the most observations as of August 2023. The research emphasizes the significance of citizen science in urban biodiversity monitoring and its potential to contribute to various fields, including food and nutrition, creative industry, study of plant phenology, and machine learning applications. We expect the data sets to serve as a resource for further studies in urban foraging, food security, cultural ecosystem services, and environmental sustainability.

Puebla is considered a biodiverse state due to the variety of flora and fauna. However, it is difficult to have a complete species inventory consequent to the extensive territory and limited resources. Thanks to Naturalista, an application promoted by Comisión Nacional para el Conocimiento y Uso de la Biodiversidad (CONABIO), it is possible for the community to participate to generate records of the different species found in the territory. With this approximation and thanks to different activities that we have organized in Puebla City and its metropolitan area we have registered different species. In this book, we joined the available information of all the extant species in the region.

The coexistence of the lizards within the communities is carried out through the differential partitioning of the environmental resources. The choice and use of resources is mainly determined by the physiology of the organisms and the adjacent environmental characteristics. The objective of this study was to determine the spatial and temporal niche and the activities of a community of lizards in the municipality of Santiago Nonualco El Salvador. Methods: 32 sampling sites were established, and in each of these, one 100x4 m transect. Sampling was carried out between March and August 2021 using the Visual Encounter Inspection technique. The substrate, time and activity were recorded at the time each individual was observed for the first time. Only Basiliscus vittatus was present in all sampling microhabitats and trunk fallen was the most abundant substrate. In related species such as those of the Anolis genus, a strong spatial niche overlap was observed. In most species combinations there was high temporal niche overlap, but low spatial overlap. The coexistence of this community of lizards is mainly determined by the differential use of space, which is used above all for basking
