Questions related to Websites
I am trying to run an opt-freq calculation on a complex of OH:CHClBrI. I have gone on the exchange website to get correct basis set I just need to know how and where to add this in gaussian. I messed around and will attach my attempt but this produced error.
I am performing a bond test of concrete with metals. Most of the literature reviews that I have looked so far refer to the ASTM C234-91-a. This standard was withdrawn in 2000. However, many research papers and journals, even after 2000, are following the methods in C234. I am looking for ASTM C234 or any other suggestions for standards for doing a pull out / push out test of metals on concrete.
I need to use guanidium chloride to denature a protein. However, I’m reluctant because it is absolutely crucial for my experiment that no isocyanic acid is formed. I need to know the equilibrium constants of the reactions where guanidium chloride in solution forms urea which then forms isocyanic acid to see if the isocyanic acid formed is negligible or not. If not negligible, I also need to know the thermodynamics of the reaction (if it occurs very slowly, then it should be okay).
I tried looking it up but I couldn’t find it. Is there a website or an equation that can be used to find eq constants?
Thanks for your time.

A research by Prof. Juan De Vicente (CIEMAT, Madrid), author of dozens of publications in the field of astrophysics, was recently published (May 23), which demonstrates, in the opinion of the author, that the universe is not expanding and that the observed cosmological redshift must therefore be attributed to some other physical cause. For example, the decrease in the speed of light over time.
If Prof. De Vicente's research were confirmed, it would put an end to the Big Bang model that the recent observations of the JWST are strongly questioning.
I, not being an expert in astrophysics or statistics, am unable to understand the article in which De Vicente explains the methods and results of his research.
This is the link of the article:
Prof. De Vicente's research is based on the analysis of public data, published on the website:
therefore it is perfectly reproducible.
Is anyone interested in checking De Vicente's research and confirming/denying these results?
It goes without saying that if these data passed the examination of careful criticism they would represent a revolutionary result that would change the history of astronomy forever.
In the event that someone is about to do this check, could he explain exactly the steps taken (possibly limiting to a few dozen galaxies in order to make the method adopted clear) so that this check can also be performed by non-experts?
I need GPS location where noise level data (in dB) is measured for Delhi, Mombai, Kokata, bengaluru in excel/text format.
May I know how to send my article for publication here or I'm I to send already published paper (as an attachment) to be uploaded here?
I needed to be properly guided on this.
Dear colleagues, hope to find you all well!
I am collecting in QIIME website the microbiome relative abundance percentage data of a previous experiment by hovering over each plot with the mouse. Considering that the graphs present percentage data of 50 families for each animal, does any of you know whether it is possible to obtain these data through another way that is more feasible?
Thank you in all in advance.
For one of my cognitive sciences lab session, I have to install JupyterLab on my computer (a MacBook Air). Could anybody explain me the meaning of the data point “number of atoms” that is shown for any material on the material project website? I thought that it was supossed to tell the number of atoms per unit cell, but, in many cases, it doesn’t make any sense to me. For instance, TaC (https://next-gen.materialsproject.org/materials/mp-1086: (Cubic, Fm-3m, 225)) exihibits a fcc crystal structure and, thus, should feature 4 atoms per unit cell. However, “number of atoms” on the website says that it’s 8.
What am I missing?
Hello dear network, I'm a PhD student in geophysics , in the field of Magnetotelluric (MT) and transient electromagnetic(TEM), I would ask you to help me find data from Africa in the field cited above.
I will really appreciate any help from you , giving me a website for downloading data, any forum of discussion .
So far, I've gone through APA official websites and various other sources, familiarizing myself with their guidelines and instructions. However, I'm curious if there are any additional considerations that might not be explicitly stated but should still be taken into account. If you have come across any well-written technical reports that you can recommend, please feel free to share.
Please suggest where we can find the subject-wise consolidated list of open access journals? Is it available on clarivate website or some other database publically open to all? If its personally available with some Researcher, please share it privately. I will be thankful.
I have the text of a biomedical document and I have extracted the biomedical terms, now I want to create a connected graph that connects all the terms, I am using the Unified Medical Language System (UMLS) but I haven't found in their website how from a list of biomedical terminology concepts (cuis) can we generate a graph , Any help please ??
Does it work with ordinary mediums, or it requires a specific medium? According to the ATCC website, they recommend using their product exclusively for culturing it.
I conducted an online survey for my research and the initial invitation to participants through email were 290. However, the survey link was also distributed through website and other means of social media (Whatsapp, snowballing, etc).
The total responses was almost double from the initial number of target participants, although the completed responses to be analysed are almost 60% from the target number.
How do I justify the response rate? Or should I analyse the completed responses with meaningful answers and ignore the response rate?
I know many websites have simple tools like transcription and translation available, but are there any analysis tools that researchers need that either do not exist or are not publicly available? It could be anything from algorithms to visuals. Thanks!
recently I bought the Fisher brand pipette tip: https://www.fishersci.com/shop/products/sureone-aerosol-barrier-pipette-tips-2/02-707-432?searchHijack=true&searchTerm=sureone-aerosol-barrier-pipette-tips-2&searchType=Rapid&matchedCatNo=02-707-432
From the website, it says it's filtered. However, I got so confused by their packaging box labeled: "Comprehensive line of non-filter and aerosol barrier pipet tip"
How does this happen? Is any difference between Non-filter and aerosol barrier tips? I always think they are the same concept.
Respected Scientific Community,
I am facing an issue with reading data in .chk file that I have just transferred (using win-SCP) from Gaussian installed on supercomputer.
I have tried the tutorial available on Gaussian website (from Gaussian step > Utilities > Fchk using my window-based laptop (Gaussian 09)
It generated the .fchk file with 0 kb.
I would be highly obliged If any lead assist me in this regard?
My sister is an architect and needs to use linear interpolation in the following situation:
The NCC states the maximum ramp length for a 1:14 ramp is 9 meters and a 1:20 ramp is 15 meters before you need a landing. The NCC states to calculate the maximum length of a ramp in between these gradients is to use linear interpolation.
She wants to specify a ramp of a 1:16.6 gradient and needs to calculate the maximum ramp length before needing a landing using the two values provided above. She is not confident her calculations are correct - she found the formula below but struggled to use it. So instead, she found this website - https://www.easycalculation.com/analytical/linear-interpolation.php. The solution that website provided was 11.6 meters. Can anyone confirm that this is correct and/or explain how to correctly calculate the linear interpolation for this example using the formula? Thanks in advance.
Linear interpolation = y1 + (x - x1)*(y2-y1)/(x2-x1)
Articles from a journal which is not indexed in Scopus are found exactly as those from journals listed in Scopus. The journal doesn't announce indexing in Scopus in its website. Does it mean a recent acceptance of this journal in this database or there are other explanations?
I am an undergraduate student of Bangladesh which is a lower middle income country according to the 'World Economic Situation and Prospects report 2023'. So according to the eecoinvent website students from the low income country can use the econinvent database for free of charge. But I don't have any idea how can I get it. On the Academia.edu website (https://postdoc-uaic.academia.edu/HavarneanuGeanina), the correct number of citations of my works appears.
How should I proceed to achieve correct information on the citations of my works?
I am doing absolute quantification RT-qPCR for the beta actin gene. I start with RNA, turn this into cDNA and use that for qPCR. I am going to get a custom oligo of the PCR amplification product to use for making the standard required for absolute quantification.
This is how I got the sequence for the custom oligo. First, I input my primers into this website: http://www.bioinformatics.org/sms2/pcr_products.html along with the mRNA sequence for beta actin. The website gave me the amplified product, which is 61 bp as expected.
My question is should I use this result sequence as my oligo, or should I reverse complement it? I am wondering this because I input the mRNA sequence into the website to get the amplicon, but I am using cDNA which would be the complementary sequence. Please let me know. Thank you

I plan to publish an article in The journal of Voice and I am having some issues as the author guide for publishing in the journal is not very specific, for eg, the spacing, the font, the margin, table format and etc. The website ask to refer to the 11th AMA style for for writing purposes but inside the manual is not specific as well.
Maybe someone can share some tips, strategy/template in getting published in the Journal of Voice if you have managed to published in that journal. Thanks for your kind help and any help is greatly appreciated.
I purchased collagen IV powder from Sigma and the website says to dissolve in acetic acid, PBS or water. As I didn't have acetic acid I tried to dissolve it to 1mg/mL in PBS but the collagen has aggregated. Should I let it dissolve at room temperature or in the fridge? Is it still efficient?
Thank you for your help
Does anyone know of interactive websites, applications, software, or affordable companies to build and deliver an online educational intervention?
I frequently make use of LigParGen website to generate a molecule OPLS-AA data file for Lammps by uploading a .pdb file.
Generally it does not take a long time to get the lammps file.
Now after a long time following the .pdb file upload I am receivingng an out -of-time error message.
Anybody is experiencing the same problem?
I see these graphs (See image) in the papers, where the X-rays attenuation coefficient is plotted against the thickness of various materials. I know, these are not experimental but they are plotting these using some online software. They have mentioned the NIST platform but I found only the absorption vs energy plotting facility on the website. Could anyone please help me where can I plot the X-rays attenuation coefficient vs the thickness of any material/compound using online software?
Thank you so much.
Good evening! I am looking for a journal in the field of computer science, which should be ugc care listed or Scopus index and where I can get fast response for acceptance/rejection of a paper and whose paper acceptance ratio is higher. can anyone provide such list or can guide me for the same? During my search on various Chinese universities and research websites, I noticed that my published articles, both in English and Chinese, as well as my master's and doctoral dissertations, are frequently cited in scientific conference papers in China, articles published in Chinese scientific journals, and numerous master's and doctoral dissertations, both within and outside of China. However, none of these citations are reflected in my profiles on ResearchGate, Google Scholar, or Web of Science. One possible reason for this discrepancy could be that most of these articles and theses have not been uploaded to ResearchGate, or it could be due to the language barrier of the content. I would greatly appreciate any suggestions you might have to address this issue and improve the link between my profile and research databases encompassing different languages.
We're trying to expand research in the area of substance use disorders in healthcare for Latinos. I'm looking for a good measure of cultural competence of clinicians who work with Latinos.
I've been told (by AI) that the Cross Cultural Clinical Practice inventory exists. I've been guided to the Cross Cultural Health Care Program (CCHCP) to get access to it. (website https://www.xculture.org/ ). They (Danielle Widjaya of the program) deny having developed it or knowing anything about it.
I'm wanting to find a good measure of cultural competence of clinicians who work with Latinos (in a substance use disorder setting).
As stated in the SENIAM website:
"The SENIAM project has resulted in European recommendations for sensors and sensor placement procedures and signal processing methods for SEMG, a set of simulation models for education and testing, a set of test signals, eight books, publications, and a European network for SEMG: the SENIAM club."
The SENIAM has been cited over the last year in the majority of works using EMG. However, I was not able to be in touch with the full material, as it is only available on CDs delivered in Europe. Where can I get the full material (in Brazil)?
The only material available is the website and the paper from H. J. Hermens (10.1016/s1050-6411(00)00027-4).
Is there another source of recommendation for EMG available in known publishers (such as Elsevier, Springer, IEEE)?

Could you suggest some data-collecting websites/agencies/organizations in India? This is for research purposes.
I am a master's business management from Sapienza University. I want to make a new proposal for applying Ph.D. in field management. I am thinking that traditional training ( teacher speaking) is not completely practical and most students cannot enhance their skills through courses at university because of that when they will graduate they will understand their knowledge is not related to what they learned. That's why nowadays, students are finding out e-learning and online courses are practical ways to increase their knowledge like the Coursera website in the field of their interest. Now I want to make a proposal for a Ph.D. that there is a gap between in level of courses at universities and learning by digital learning technology. if someone can give me some advice on how can I make a relationship with them in the field of management, I will really appreciate it.
There is a way to convert an anyformat-PDB file into a charmmgui-PDB file without using the charmmgui website?

I am currently in need of wind data (wind speed and wind direction: possibly every hour) for Malaysia. Unfortunately, the data from the National Department are due to payment and it is expensive when I am interested in acquiring a data worth of 33 years.
Are there any website or database that is providing wind data for free of charge and also for a long duration like 33 years?
