Me: V2X means a vehicle to everything and as per 3GPP; It has 4 types in 5G which are Vehicle to Vehicle (V2V), Vehicle to Network (V2N), Vehicle to Infrastructure (V2I) and Vehicle to Pedestrian (V2P).
My friend: Can you give me some examples?
Me: Of course, V2V means the transfer of data directly between vehicles, so vehicles can exchange information to avoid the collision. V2I involves the transfer of data between vehicles and Road Side Units (RSU) and RSU are application servers positioned along the road with built-in Base Station functionality so they can communicate directly with passing vehicles. The RSU is aware of the timing used by nearby traffic signals and this timing is provided to vehicles approaching the signals so they can react appropriately. V2N involves the transfer of data between vehicles and the mobile network, e.g. providing Internet connectivity. V2P involves the transfer of data between vehicles and pedestrians for example for pedestrians to provide warnings to drivers.

What happens to the PTPS application in traffic signals of the network when the intersections within it are only 90 to 400 meters far apart which bus stops exist between intersections with a distance of around 40 meters from the intersection?
In the case of standing in public and attempting to stop passers-by to complete a short questionnaire, what is your basic approach? In a previous life, I was a commission salesman, so I know how important it is to make the first utterance out of your mouth the right one if you want people to give you even two seconds of their time, so what tends to work best for collecting data for research? A yes-no question? An open-ended question? A statement about the weather? Asking if they have a couple minutes vs avoiding mentioning time? Here have been some of my attempts, but it's hard to gauge which works best with the few attempts I've made:

In an experiment to compare several Queueing Disciplines with respect to Quality of Service metrics QoS using Opnet14.5 simulator, I keep getting high rate of dropped traffic!!

I want to simulate a grid-road topology (organized streets) with vehicles generate traffic to Road Side Unit (RSUs). Also, if I need to ramp up quickly to 100 or 200 vehicles how can I do that?
There is various figures of supply and demand curves in literature that describe induced demand but they do not correspond to the properties of supply and demand of car travel. My question is related to following subquestions: is supply of car travel dependent or independent on price (i.e. is it a vertical line)? Does shift in supply (increase of capacity) lead to shift of demand curve or move along the curve? Move along the curve (which is in the most of the graphs I have found) means that the demand corresponding to a particular price stays the same but it is certainly not true. There is different demand (traffic volume) with the same level of congestion (price/time).
I need traffic data such as shown below.

•Acceleration and deceleration.

Does collecting waste at night help to reduce the carbon footprint cause I believe at night there won't be much traffic and mostly the street are always empty.
I am working on the control of urban traffic networks. I have the urban traffic volume data that consist of attribute like location, route length, number of vehicles per day, ADT, ADTT and so on. How can I determine trip production or trip completion flow using historical data? The network is a large regional network i.e heterogeneous network, that requires partitioning into homogeneous subregions, the second question is how can I partition the urban traffic networks?

Surrogate Safety Measures (SSM) are used to measure traffic safety. Some video-based software can generate these values from real vehicle traffic videos. So, is there any device that can be mounted on a vehicle, is portable and can measure all/some of the SSM metrics?
We use ECM to predict Dutch yearly traffic kilometers. For year 2020, the covid-policies impact the traffic performance a lot. If I visualise the entry and exit to a power station as similar to a Motorway junction, the speed at which heat molecules move forward depends, like that of cars, on the volume of traffic in front of them.
If the road leading to the motorway junction is reasonably empty, the cars (i.e. heat-molecules) can approach the entrance reasonably fast – if it is full, they have to approach more slowly. Similarly, if the motorway is also blocked with slow-moving traffic, the cars (i.e. heat-molecules) entering it are forced to move slowly.
As the speed of the heat-molecules is what causes the rotation of the turbine which creates the electricity, (and the faster the turbine rotates, the more electricity is created) it can be imagined that the turbine works most efficiently when the air ‘upstream’ and ‘downstream’ from it is relatively empty of heat-molecules – i.e. cold.
Is this correct? Please can you tell me how to find the relevant data?

I am trying to build a mobility module using SUMO for my VANET work and I don't fully understand the following terms.
Are Traffic Density (Vehicle/Km) and Traffic Flow (vehicle/km/hour) values only valid for a single 1Km lane and when there is a multiple lane 1Km road, it must be multiplied by the total number of lanes in the 1Km road?
For example, if I selected the Traffic Density to be 40 vehicles/km and I have a 1Km two-way road with 3 lanes on each side, the actual Traffic Density will 40*6 vehicle/km?
Closed Parkings and tunnels;
Many parkings are closed and a lot of them are located in Airports; sadly people have suffocated in them due to traffic jams and congestion; would replacing fuel transport with EVs solve problems caused by pollution fuel transport causes?

Below is my intended objective using B&R automation studio.

（ 2） A certain direction red light holds for 30s,and another direction green light only for
25s.When the green light times out, the yellow light is on for 5s,and then two of the direction’s light exchange, repeats itself ；
（3）When emergency condition, the sequence chart is t0, No matter the status of the traffic light, forced green light to the direction of the Vehicles ,the other is then red ；
（4）When emergency released, the sequence chart is t1,forced yellow light 5s to the direction of the Vehicles（t1～t1＋5）,and then change to red light. After that, Traffic light Controlled is normal
I’m planning to conduct a traffic count in the coming days for selected route near my university in Budapest. Currently, I'm attempting to identify the rush hour time along the route. Accordingly, I'm trying to use an approach based on real time information other than the traditional method. Underneath, please see the steps I took so far and kindly share your helpful thoughts:-
- I checked the tomtom previous rush hours profiles (2021, 2020 and 2019) for Budapest, which suggests the overall city rush hour to occur on Monday between 7:00 to 8:00A.M.; however, this may not be the reality in the particular route I’m considering in 2022. Therefore, I checked the Traffic Stats function of the TomTom Portal, which offers very limited dates in 2021 for the trial version and information on the speed profile couldn’t help in identifying the rush hour in the route. Therefore, please kindly share your thoughts in identifying the rush hour a selected route?
- Aside from the traditional approach, if you can suggest any other reliable method on the subject, that would be greatly appreciated.

I was going to develop a reinforcement learning algorithm for railway traffic rescheduling. For the evaluation purposes I am going to use some simulators like OpenTrack. But I am really not sure now that it is possible or not to evaluate my model using OpenTrack. If anyone has experience on it could you share your opinions about it.

Hello. I am a student of "Business Administration" , and i want to do my research on how we can control, manage and ensure discipline in the roads of Bangladesh. As we can see that even after having certain rules and laws, passengers & drivers don't have any respect for the traffic system, which results in various major and minor accidents.
As it's and important issue in our country, I will be researching the root causes of this problem, and talk about what needs to be done.

Are there proven and emerging technologies for obtaining road network level:
a) motorcyclist traffic volumes (counts)
b) their speeds,
c) motorcycle classification (from light moped to heavy touring bike)?
We have automatic tube counters which can satisfy the first two needs. These are expensive and cumbersome to use on road network scale. Digital video combined with computer vision is emerging quickly and would meet all three needs. The cost is prohibitive.
What other sources and technologies could do a good job and be cost-effective? What is used in your jurisdiction?

For dealing with traffic complications the authorities do not have a magic wand in their hands. But there is always a possibility of improvement. The suave and proficient implementation for mobility of traffic can be accomplished by making best use of the existing system. The proper sign posts, zebra crossing, footpaths, subways and signals are the tools which can be used to transmute commotion into a smooth and effective mobility. We need to take appropriate traffic management measures after trying out their effects. In order to curb the jeopardy of mishaps caused by the maladministration of traffic we need to contemplate abysmally to this nuisance. Due to obliviousness of the rubrics, rowdiness, desertion and waywardness, the roads are wrenching into muddle. The authorities are wedged in torpidity and have no intimation of how to make traffic more affable. Hardly any zebra crossings are visible in Srinagar city. There are no passable parking facilities. The authorities are decreeing conceitedly that considerable challans are imposed on daily basis. Challans will only result in proliferation of corruption. There should be an obligatory training for the commercial vehicle drivers. Public infringing should be circumvented on the roads, there is need to accentuate the pedestrian crossings. Training is a vital contrivance and instructors need to be trained first who should be taught how to train.
It is highly advocated to instil the skills and awareness in the schools and colleges also. It is noticed that the tippers, tata mobiles and other commercial vehicles are driven by minors who do not have any inkling what gaffes they can do on the roads. Rash driving and racing between the commercial vehicles are the causes of accidents. The traffic authorities only know how to do challans, they only punish the drivers who are possessing incomplete documents. They do not prevent the drivers from pledging mistakes on the roads. How many drivers have been penalized for rash driving? Another cause of accidents in Srinagar is teenage bike riders, who are endangering their lives for the sake of stunts that they perform in the cold weather imitating aerobatics. Bikes should have been proscribed in winters in Srinagar a long back, at least for the months of December and January. Another hazard is overloading in commercial vehicles. This has been going on for decades and no one is taking a heed. We have seen passengers boarding and getting down from the commercial vehicles in the middle of the roads. Accidents happen due to the indiscipline created by the commercial vehicle drivers. These drivers know the traffic rules but deliberately break them. In such cases impounding of driver licence for 15 days or 20 days is recommended. The monetary penalty need to be revoked as it only increases corruption. There need to be some firm guidelines for acquiring commercial licence.
The number of vehicles plying on the Srinagar roads has increased to manifold but the roads are the same. So there is a necessity of splaying all the city roads. Foreshortening the density of traffic through hectic plugs is need of the hour, specifically during peak hours. Increasing the number of flyovers and subways will also make the proper traffic flow on the roads. We need to increase the infrastructure facilities for smooth flow of traffic. The train connectivity like metro train should be introduced in the city. One ways should be made the norm throughout. Waterways should be used to conveyance and transport of the goods wherever possible. Traffic police should be deployed at schools and colleges during the peak hours. The commercial drivers need to be educated about their negligence. Shifting of education institutes and government offices to the suburbs is a virtuous alternative.

I want to know if there's any algorithm or standardised system confirmed for future research to deploy a universal traffic management system. Human intervention in traffic system and algorithm based traffic controlling should be alined for further development to ease current traffic issues.
I am Yvon françois TSOLEFACK engineer in electrical and energy engineering of Cameroonian nationality, and promoter of a positive energy road project for Africa, and more particularly in Burkina Faso (pilot country for the experimentation of the project), project which has earned me to won a few brawls and rewards at the end of certain national and international challenges and innovation competitions in energy. I had to consult (carry out a bibliographic review) several works already carried out in the field, via certain open research thesis platforms, which were very interesting. A great thank to all researchers amongs all of you in the field who kindly accept to share their work with me. However, I would also like to do a thesis in co-supervision between the doctoral school of the 2iE institute in Ouagadougou in Burkina Faso, and a suitable school / university which has the expertise in the experimentation of positive energy road technologies. My project (my desired theme) consists of designing a thermo-piezoelectric block capable of simultaneously exploiting the mechanical stresses of road traffic, and the heat stored by the roadways, to produce electricity. It will therefore be a question of carrying out modeling and simulation work in order to determine the optimal structure of the block according to road traffic, vehicle weight, sunshine (temperature profile, humidity, etc.), depending on the context, etc. In short, I would like to have advice from you (the researchers community) regarding the best adapted and advanced doctoral school laboratories in these positive energy road technologies, through which I could carry out my research, in collaboration with the doctoral school of the 2iE institute in Ouagadougou.

In IDS, the researcher converts raw traffic (PCAP) to CSV format. Character-level CNN is specialized in character text classification, so I would like to ask whether CLCNN can be applied to IDS?

By collecting traffic flows data in the first 300s in SUMO, I calculated the optimized green time by an algorithm in python and now I want to change the duration of phase in next 300s.But in the documention I did not find useful funtions, so how to achieve this step to complete the real-time control for the traffic lights? I'm doing QoS in Manet using Priority AODV. I need classification algorithm to handle the real and non-real time packets. For priority scheduling, I want to use WRR scheduling mechanism so that the classified packets mapped into queue in a way real-time traffic hold high priority than non-real time traffic. For admission control, I want to estimate the available bandwidth. Incoming flows rejected for transmission if threshold less than amount of flows.
