I need a couple of examples that were mentioned in a paper, a working paper or a technical repot (not a news media article) of falsification of school reports on teachers working conditions. Something like “16.6 % of the respondents said that the supervising teachers asked them to falsify and report fewer overtime hours”. The key point: teachers should be asked to falsify or a falsification was be made by school leader/supervisor.

Principals must focus on the improvement of instruction, because the better the instruction is, there will also be greater depths of student achievement. Research clearly supports this and if the principal fails to work with teachers instructionally, student learning will not improve. Over the past several years the principal has focused on management and it has caused great problems. Much of this is due to policies that are pasted by state agencies and legislatures and they have no clue about teaching and learning. Substantially, in the space of academic, supervisors play a pivotal role in the success of their students' research endeavors (see e.g.,Jibao et al., 2017; Bayona-Oré, 2021 with DOI no: 10.36681/tused.2021.90) . They are expected to provide technical guidance, mentorship, and critical feedback to ensure that the research aligns with academic standards and objectives (see Bacwayo et al., 2o17 with DOI: 10.18488/journal.61/2017.5.3/61.3.29.39). The supervisor-student relationship is built on trust, with the understanding that the supervisor will offer support and guidance throughout the research process (Again, see Bayona-Oré, 2021 with DOI no: 10.36681/tused.2021.90).
Despite the ideal expectations, many students, especially in Africa, face challenges in their interactions with academic supervisors. One common issue is the lack of sufficient guidance, leaving students to navigate the complexities of research largely on their own. This can result in delays, frustration, and a decreased quality of research output. Additionally, the mismatch between expectations and actual supervision can lead to students feeling unsupported and undervalued.
Incontrovertibly, in Africa, it is not uncommon for supervisors to request or demand that they be listed as the corresponding author when students prepare manuscripts based on their theses. While this practice may raise ethical concerns, it is important to analyze the motivations and implications of this phenomenon. Furthermore, when reviewers' comments are received, the burden of responding to these comments often falls on the student, creating a paradox in which authorship and responsibility are misaligned.
At the back of this, the issue of academic supervision and authorship raises ethical questions that merit further exploration. What are the ethical responsibilities of supervisors in guiding their students? Should students who conduct the majority of the research and manuscript preparation retain corresponding authorship? How can institutions and academic communities address these ethical dilemmas to ensure fairness and transparency?
This discussion calls for a critical examination of the dynamics of academic supervision and authorship, focusing on how to enhance the support provided to students. It invites scholars, students, and academic institutions to reflect on the prevailing practices, ethical implications, and potential reforms that could ensure a more equitable and nurturing research environment.

We daily confront in our feed page that many young researchers around the world have problem for publishing their manuscripts. Worse is those PhD students near before/after VIVA/Defense, but still unable to publish the results in an acceptable journal.
I think by now you have seen the results of Sugimoto et al., (2013) 10.1016/j.joi.2013.08.007. On acceptance rate of journals, that just in health sciences the acceptance rate is higher than 50 percent (56%). In other 4 disciplines (Computer Science, Business studies, Education and Psychology) that they studied, the acceptance rate is even lower than 40%.
Björk (2018), had almost a similar result. According to his findings, the overall global average acceptance rate is around 35-40%. (10.3145/epi.2019.jul.07). And the situation for high impact journals is even worse.
May you please share your findings about the content of this discussion, as implies that the acceptance is guarantied, specially in reference to: "Would you like to be the next one?"

Financial supervisory institutions should reduce the scale of unethical business practices on capital markets. When financial supervisory institutions function efficiently, financial markets function effectively and financial crises occur less frequently.
In view of the above, I would like to address the following question to the esteemed community of scientists and researchers:

Generally, machine learning methods have an algorithm to learn and generalise from recorded data to construct projections on new samples, and they do not use for optimising a design directly. There are a large number of optimisation methods that can be applied to your problem, but you need a fitness (objective) function in order to evaluate the new solution proposed by the optimisation method. You can easily apply an optimisation method if you have such a function.

Hello fellow researchers,
i’m writing my PhD thesis and i need a little help with the statistic part. Without getting into great detail my study is as follows: during a 6 month period an expert was giving his advice on therapy options on our ward (all patients, lets say group A). The next 6 months the expert is gone, but the ward staff continued to make the therapy options accordingly to what they learnt from the expert (all patients, group B). I want to show that the the primary endpoint was unchanged, basically there was no difference between outcomes, thus proving the sustainability of a temporary expert supervision. I would like then to compare these 2 groups as a whole with a historical group were the old therapy was in place (before the expert was even there). How can i make that?

It is confounded by time. The patients coming in may have been systematically different (particularly if done during COVID). So, short answer is NONE.

As we know, the machine learning and data mining techniques under a "BIG data framework" have been booming in the fields of intelligent controlled robot, unmanned vehicles, 5G communications and AI chips, with papid advances in computer computing capabilities in the past few decades.
Currently, as far as I can see, the Quantum computing and cloud computing techniques are also possible solutions to promote the industrial processes further.
If our humans are able to make huge breakthroughs of these 2 technical ways to obtain theoretically infinite computing speed and resources, does it mean that all the industrial processes are able to moniter and operate under a supervised level in real-time (more intelligent, more safe, reliable and available).
The problems, "improvements of algorithms against the computing burdens" and "conveniences of online deployment" probably will not the more important issues for our control strategies, fault diagnosis and fault-tolerant issues any more.
What about your ideas for this?

I think it will be an extension of the digital revolution, which began in the 1940s, but first appeared with the Intel microprocessor (1971). Quantum computing will be the first significant change in the paradigm, but I think it the entire miniturization process that will be most important. inspiration comes from the 1959 lecture: “There’s plenty of room at the bottom” by Richard Feynman. This lecture shows the importance of forthcoming digital revolution and nano-technology. My expectation is that a new paradigm may appear go to the atomic level (below the one nanometer). I expect quantum computing to fit into this story in the next 10 to 20 years.

I have the same experience to classify the text into specific groups. If you are seeking publication you may compare the performances and select the best. Otherwise, I feel the BERT model will easily outperform other word embedding models.

I am analysing the data of a cross-sectional study I am working on. It explores differences in self-compassion, burnout and skills between clinicians joining a peer supervision group and clinicians not joining this group but receiving other forms of supervision.
In the correlation table, the variable 'participants to peer consultation' has no significant correlation with anything. Other variables correlates and don't show this anomality. It is only this one that is a bit funky. Any ideas why? I put an example here below.

Michael, the supervision process is a two way process: one in which the supervisor advises, guides and provides a sense of direction as well as pastoral support for the supervisee and one whereby the latter learns and provides a platform for the supervisor to learn new and interesting things about the research topic under investigation. Looking back at supervision provides for me a set of both possibilities and a framework of continuous sharing of ideas and the art of the possible. Interesting.
