Stefan i have decided to adapt the Delphi technique together with the basic Logic Model Development template to take into consideration resources, activities, outputs, short and long term outcomes and the impact of the proposed strategies if they are implemented. I ll recruit between 5 to 20 experts in the field of Indigenous Knowledge System, Adolescent sexual health and health systems and policies. the experts would then give feedback that would be evaluated using the SWOT matrix . After this stage validation of these strategies would be done through key stakeholder consultation to determine suitability, acceptability and feasibility of the proposed strategies through the usage of a checklist. What is your take

1. Check existing literature for genes related to salinity, preferentially those related to salinity in wheat.

2. Identify which genes have already been used to generate transgenics and determine the success (or not) of each.

3. Identify target gene(s) of interest you will use.

4. Decide on vector construction methods and delivery. That is, determine which promoter and terminators to use. Do you want a constitutive promoter or inducible one? Which promoters are available to you? Where do you want the gene to express? Will the gene be expressed in the nucleus or chloroplast? How will you deliver the gene into the plant (Agrobacterium or Gene Gun)?

5. Identify and test transformation methods to generate transgenic plants? Use an existing or new protocol?

6. Generate transgenic plants. This will take a while, consider the length of time required.

7. Use literature to identify ways to screen salinity tolerance.

8. Develop and practice method for screening for salinity tolerance

9. Screen transgenic progeny

10. Evaluate project. Is the transgenic successful? What can be improved?

One way of enhancing the local defence industy is by using offsets/industrial cooperation program schemes. Offsets are a mix of different methods through which countries are trying to reroute a part of procurement funds paid to foreign contractors back into their economy.

Through offsets a country could, among others, manage to:

·Enhance the technological level of the local defence industry, by modernizing the production methods and processes;

·Transfer technology to the domestic industry;

·To grow the job market, by creating new opportunities for employees with the defence industry;

·To create market opportunities for the export of local goods and services;

·To increase the nationalization of the local defence procurements and decrease dependence on external markets;

Big Data provides the way to process and analyze a data which is big in size and unstructured. Hidden information can be found in dataset and can be used for business growth. These days people are working in IoT  and data produced can be analyzed using Big Data.

Hi Deepti. The main reasons why new start-ups cease trading are generally:

1. Because they do not have enough cash to maintain the business until it is generating sufficient revenues to cover costs (liquidity crisis)

2. Because the entrepreneur over-estimated their own ability (lack of entrepreneurial human capital)

3. Because they misjudged the size of market demand for their product or service (no market gap)

4. Poorly developed business plan

5. There is an imbalance between debt and equity (too much debt typically)

6. Competition is high and competitors react to the new business (for example price wars)

7. Because the entrepreneur gets a better job offer and closes the business

8. Because entrepreneurial income is risky and variable and often families prefer a lower, but more stable, income stream

Note that only 1/4 new start-ups that close do so because they are bankrupt or placed into liquidation (real failure). The majority 3/4 do so for personal reasons, or because running their own business did not meet their expectations.

The truth is without getting a look at the sample data sets all are generic speculation that the available algorithms will be able to classify them correctly into right subgroup of products and if the number of sub group is quite larger it suppose to be more complex. 1. Issuing a local development strategy without the residents’ consultation is against the transparency principles (government decisions should be available for the residents not only at the stage of the final documents but at the stage of plans).

2. Residents will more likely support government’s decision when it’s their own decision too, when they took part in the discussion. But it works only when local governments took into consideration residents’ point of view. When government asks the opinion but does the opposite (as it could be the case in Russia) this system does not work.

Contra

Is difficult to receive people’s support for necessary but unpopular decision (which is often the case in transition economies). In that case, governments prefer to develop documents without consultation (they know in advance that residents would be against). But after the publication of the documents local authorities for sure should explain their position to the residents.

Strategy is A plan of action designed to achieve a long-term or overall aim. A theoretical model on the other hand gives an abstract description of a given system. Depending on the requirement a model may highlight one single aspect of the system and hide the other details. A model normally contains enough formalism such that it is not ambiguous. Because of this property theoretical experiments can be designed to estimate the performance of the system in different environments. Given a good theoretical model I believe the performance of a strategy can also be evaluated.

As I understand, it was not a major component, but was an affordable, relatively simple, early response to the report. This is in accordance with Risk Management theory and principles, you may wish to refer to the ISO standard and other literature on RM.

Identification of strategic factors requires systematic analysis of both external and internal environment of the firm. External environment analysis comprises of micro, and macro analysis of the business environment.' PESTEL' analysis is macro analysis. This will determine the strategic factors that indicate opportunity and threat in the business environment. The internal environment of the firm is created by the interaction of people, process and technology in the prevailing organization culture. Strategic factors of firm's strength and weakness are identifiable in all the functional areas of the firm. Say, market share, profitability, skill, productivity etc. Firm's mission leads to objectives. The integration of strategic factors, result in realization of objectives. Policies, plans and programs are required to be worked out for achievement of objectives through proper allocation of organizational resources.
