Society seems to be manipulated with all sorts of vices triggering our emotions. Whether a song, a movie, commercial or other media, our emotions are influenced into buying into a false dream, how do we as mental health professional approach someone dealing with negative or destructive emotions? I am writing a psychological book on emotions and would like to have some prospective on how you would help someone with emotions like envy, jealousy, bitterness, anger and other debilitating emotions? Please keep in mind, that I would like to add your perspectives in my book as a Q&A area of one chapter.

For example, if 200 seconds of images and videos were used in negative mood induction protocol, it is mandatory to have same 200 seconds for positive induction protocol or it can differ +/- 100 seconds or more?.

If the duration of induction differs between conditions, the effects you might find, could be (solely) based on the participants being more tired or exhausted in one of the two conditions. In my opinion you should keep both conditions (or three if you have a "neutral mood" control condition) as similar as possible. That would include first of all keeping the duration of induction the same between conditions. However, you should also keep in mind that the ratio of images vs. videos, (visual) complexity of stimuli etc. could have an impact on how comparable your conditions are.

One way to look at this issue is via pubertal development.
There is research on pubertal timing (the rate of pubertal development in an individual) and adjustment at transition into middle/junior high school.
This line of inquiry began in the 1980s:
Petersen, A. C., & Crockett, L. J. (1985). Pubertal timing and grade effects on adjustment. Journal of Youth and Adolescence, 14(3), 191-206.
And here's a more recent paper on the same central issue:
Morales-Chicas, J., & Graham, S. (2015). Pubertal Timing of Latinas and School Connectedness During the Transition to Middle School. Journal of youth and adolescence, 44(6), 1275-1287.
There is also research on pubertal status - which is how advanced the children perceive themselves to be in relation to others. This creates social adjustment issues in middle/junior high school, especially for girls who mature earlier than others.

I'm a macro-qualitative guy, but I'm interested in conducting an experiment looking at the effect of eliciting emotions on behavior (obviously simplifying quite a bit!).  Obviously this isn't my area, so I was wondering if anyone could suggest a good introductory/reference text which could give me a primer on conducting experiments in social research.  
Any help would be much appreciated!

Two texts that I have found useful in this regard are: (1) Earl Babbie, "The Practice of Social Research"; (2) Royce A Singleton, Jr. and Bruce C. Straits, "Approaches to Social Research"'.  Both are readable introductory texts with background information useful in designing and analyzing experiments, and which I used (see for example my abstract of "Cluster Analysis in Metric Spaces Defined on Hamming Distance Function".)

Consumers , who make purchase decisions , are human beings. Human beings are emotional species. They can' t be without emotions. Emotions are inner feelings or attachment towards an object, person, philosophy etc. Thus consumers' purchase decisions are likely to be influenced by their emotions. Consumers' buying behavior is not always rational, that is why, it can be influenced by various factors. Good marketers are aware of this.

My undergraduate research group is interested in comparing anger and remorse as responses people might have when they are doing something or have done something negative to another person. They are also studying how well people can express emotions like these with online tools or in social media contexts.

If someone is remorseful for something because they've caused *themselves* harm, then the associated emotion is regret. But the OP specified that they're interested in remorse over damage done to another person - that's guilt.
