For research paper submission
Relevant answer
Answer
I'm sorry, but it is not possible to find Scopus indexed journals that have a specific publication timeline, such as publishing papers within 3 months. The publication timeline of a journal varies based on various factors such as the number of submissions, review process, editorial workload, etc.
However, I can suggest some Scopus indexed journals in mathematical sciences that are known for their relatively fast publication timeline:
✓ Journal of Mathematical Analysis and Applications
✓ Journal of Computational and Applied Mathematics
The publication timeline of these journals may vary depending on the specific submission and review process of each journal.

If anyone has a list, resource, or website that lists Scopus-indexed journals in the field of medicine and health with no publication charges, APCs (article processing charges), or fees required to submit and publish, let's share them with each other.
Relevant answer
Answer
Dear Muhammad Habiburrahman You might have a look here at RG:
Furthermore, you can search the DOAJ database: https://doaj.org click on (13507) journals without APC. Then you can refine your search. Unfortunately, you must check manually whether the journal is not only without APC but also indexed in Scopus.
Tip: select publishers and for example SpringerOpen has numerous journals that are Scopus indexed.
Best regards.

Answer
I agree with Dr Sylvia Ocansey
I know that it's completely different, but after I had written a few times and been published by the British Journal of Nursing, I became a peer reviewer and they also continued to ask me for articles, reviews etc.
I don't think my PhD came into it. Before I retired, I had been a nurse practitioner for bladder and bowel health and had very much a working knowledge of such topics. This continued for about 5 years post retirement but became too much for me after that.
I was very up-to-date when I retired after both 'hands on' and teaching these subjects and then enjoyed keeping very up to date as I had time to do this. I really researched before I wrote for publication and also when something came up in what I was reviewing that I was not so familiar with.

You may find it by using your article. If your article is indexed, it will appear in Scopus. By clicking you name in that article, you could find out your Scopus ID.
I think your article is not indexed by Scopus and it may take time to index. So you may search later.

I am interested to know whether or not Psychology and Education: A Multidisciplinary Journal (ISSN 2822-4353) is still indexed by Scopus to refrain from getting published in predatory journals and publish only on Scopus indexed journals.
Thank you.
Relevant answer
Answer
We exchanged already some info regarding this journal but for those interested: There is a journal called “Psychology and Education” (ISSN:0033-3077) that used to be indexed in Scopus https://www.scopus.com/sourceid/50205 This journal is hijacked, see for more details here on RG:
The journal you refer to is too new (just starting publishing in 2022) to be indexed in Scopus. The use of so-called misleading metrics () by the publisher behind this journal (SciMatic) is not that trustworthy, judge for yourself while looking at some of the papers published in one of their titles to see if it is worthwhile for you to publish with them.

I have written a research paper on the media ownership, public opinion and voter intention in Sri Lanka. I am looking for a reputable journal (Scopus) to publish it. Can you give a guide for that? (Preferably a journal published in the Asian region with an affordable publication fee)
Relevant answer
Answer
There is a guide that can help you find a suitable journal to publish your investigative article on media ownership, public opinion and voting intention:
Identify the academic journals in your field of study: Start by identifying the academic journals in your field of study that specialize in issues of media, politics, public opinion, and elections. You can search online using scholarly databases such as JSTOR, Google Scholar, Web of Science, and Scopus.
Review the list of relevant journals: Once you've identified a few journals that seem relevant to your research, review the lists of journals that publish articles on the topics that interest you. You can find this information on the journal's website or in the database directory.
Check journal guidelines: Be sure to carefully review journal guidelines to understand article submission requirements, format guidelines, and deadlines. Some journals may have restrictions on word count, writing style, or data presentation, so it is important to familiarize yourself with these guidelines before submitting your article.
Evaluate the quality of the journal: Check the journal's impact index and its impact factor to assess the quality of the journal. You can also review the editorial board membership list and publication frequency to determine if the journal is highly respected in its field.
Consider the target audience: Make sure the journal is aimed at your target audience, such as academics, researchers, and professionals in the media and politics. Consider whether the journal is for a national or international audience and whether you are interested in publishing in a journal in your native language or in English.
Check the open access policy: If you want to make your article accessible to a wider audience, you can search for journals that allow open access publishing. Check the journal's open access policy and whether there are any charges for publication.
Check the copyright policy: Be sure to carefully review the copyright policy of the journal. Some journals may require you to transfer copyright to the journal, which may limit your ability to use your own work in the future.
In summary, to find a suitable journal to publish a research article on media ownership, public opinion and voting intention, it is important to identify relevant journals in your field of study, carefully review the journal's guidelines, evaluate the quality of the journal and consider the target audience, the open access policy and the copyright policy.

Indeed, we all cannot warn enough for this type of fraud. Hijacked journals are a big trap for researchers unaware of the existence of hijacked journals. A great source is:
The journal “Azerbaijan medical journal” is already identified as being the victim of this type of scam. Indeed, the only legit website is: https://www.azmedjournal.com

-Mentioning of ORES website here https://www.azerbaijanmedicaljournal.com is a big warning (in my experience basically all journal titles with issues (hijacked, predatory, in the meantime discontinued Scopus titles etc.) are mentioned on this ORES site https://ores.su/en/

Is it possible to find a solution to the problem for a specific topic and thus add new information, or for the sake of scientific promotions, which we unfortunately find in most Iraqi universities, which is publishing the article for the sake of promotion and promotion, and not for the sake of information and interest. Exorbitant cost and in hard currency, dollars or euros, provided that it is Scopus and other publications. The Journal of X Ray Science and Technology shows it's indexation at SciVerse Scopus.
Let me know whether is actually indexed in Scopus or not??
Relevant answer
Answer
I think that journals that mention SciVerse indexing refers to outdated info that is no longer relevant (just like for example Scirus and Microsoft Academic Search that no longer exists). The journal “Journal of X Ray Science and Technology” is Scopus indexed. You can check that here: https://www.scopus.com/sources.uri?zone=TopNavBar&origin=searchbasic So, the indexing info (https://www.iospress.com/catalog/journals/journal-of-x-ray-science-and-technology ) of this journal is correct. For the most updated version you can go to https://www.scopus.com and scroll down and click on “Scopus source list” in order to download the latest Excel file.
Best regards.
PS. Perhaps someone can ‘proof’ the opposite, but I strongly believe that SciVerse no longer exists (the link http://www.info.sciverse.com/scopus/ is dead) and Scopus nowhere refer to this ‘service’ anymore (https://www.elsevier.com/solutions/scopus ). It used to be an integrated platform to analyze citation info etc. I guess it is now simply integrated in Scopus (and only accessible with a (paid) license).

This sounds mysterious since for example the well-known UGC Care criteria treat WoS (SCIE/SSCI) indexed, and Scopus indexed journals as equally valid. There are exclusion criteria (using misleading metrics for example https://beallslist.net/misleading-metrics/ ) but as far as I know is open access with APC not one of them.
Unfortunately, there are predatory journals that ‘slip’ into Scopus, perhaps you can provide some examples (preferably with links)?

Many Q1,Q2,Q3 and Q4 Scopus indexed journals are showing indexing till -2022 while some are showing till present.
when does Scopus update its database?
is it safe to publish in Journals which show indexing till 2022?
Relevant answer
Answer
Dear Akil Memon ,
It depends. In general, it is not uncommon that subscription-based and (the relatively) smaller journals (and publishers) provide their (meta)data to Scopus only once a year and therefor the coverage info mentions for example till 2022 instead of present.
As indicated by Fatemeh Khozaei it is comforting when the history of the journal by looking at the coverage starts in let’s say 1999 since then it is highly unlikely that such a journal title will be discontinued.
Unfortunately, predatory and/or low-quality journals ‘slip’ Into Scopus and in these cases such a message (as till 2022) could mean they are under investigation or already discontinued. The most updated info can be found here https://www.scopus.com and click on “Scopus source list” (see enclosed file for latest list) and you can check the most updated info about the discontinued titles.
If (still) not sure then give some examples (with links) and ‘we’ can have a look.
Best regards.

Hello, I work at midwifery journal in Indonesia, Now we need a reviewer from abroad which already has Scopus indexed publications. Where should I look for people who are interested in becoming reviewers?
Relevant answer
Answer
The issue is that the review of the manuscript has become a commitment of accepting it or not.
Most of them are not willingness to accept the work of the review of the manuscripts.
Everyone is looking for monetary benefits in the fast moving world. Some are interested because of knowing the fact that it will bring indirect academic popularity through Publon.
Time matters it depends on the Academicians who are free will accept to review and they will not expect anything except the Publon, ORCID etc social network popularity only.
As you are telling that your Journal has been Scopus Indexed now. So you have to look for the reviewers with some benefits.
This will be very critical if you will not get reviewers for your Journal.

Dear Alhamzah Alnoor,
You are the editor for esteemed for Springer Journal "Artificial Neural Networks and Structural Equation Modeling". Iam unable to find the journal in scopus or Web of Science. Can you please clarify where is it indexed?
Relevant answer
Answer
First, I am not entirely sure whether you realize that you address your question here on a (open) platform of ResearchGate (and not directly to one of the editors).
The thing is that “Artificial Neural Networks and Structural Equation Modeling” is not a journal but a book https://link.springer.com/book/10.1007/978-981-19-6509-8?page=2#toc and unlike a journal books are not (always) indexed in Scopus and if indexed in Web of Science it is indexed in a separate index http://wokinfo.com/mbl/
Regardless of whether this book (and your chapter) will be indexed or not, I think you can be assured that a book published by Springer is a guarantee for good quality. Springer is having an excellent track record for good quality academic books.

Relevant answer
Answer
It all depends on the individual journal (or publisher behind it). Some make use of programs like “Editorial Manager”. Here you can follow the different stages of your submission (see enclosed picture https://www.ariessys.com/solutions/editorial-manager/ ). The first stage should be finished in a matter of days. Especially the peer review stage can take months (and if extremely long then this is in most cases because they have a hard time to find the proper and sufficient number of reviewers).
In most cases it is an exercise of being patient…

I end up using a more "brute" approach. I made a list with all the countries recognized by the engine and paired each one of them with New Zealand. This way the engine only showed the research done by countries that have paired up with New Zealand, but by not putting New Zealand itself, the research done by this country alone was left out. Revered Attila Biro,
I appreciate your question but it needs to be clarified more issues.
This is one of the indicators to measure the individual who are an academicians or researchers who have the capability of being conducted many projects and the capacity of being published more publications etc.
The very interesting components of these things are the input of the efforts are made by the respective researchers and output of the works will be reflected by the academic community also matters.
The researcher publications will be cited by other readers or users then the concern researchers citation scores will increase continuously.
There are number of metrics could be increased/measured on daily or weekly or monthly or yearly basis depends upon the subjects background and the necessity of the stakeholders in the society also matters.
As to my knowledge and experience that I came across that the medical fields have more citation impact than the developmental studies.
In which field the research have been conducted are the top most concern of identifying these research metrics aspects.
Many of peers in abroad used to ask me that why our citations are not increasing rather other science disciplines have an opportunity to increase their score more citations automatically.
Over all the world, the significant impact on the medical, biological and science subjects have great impact than other developmental studies.

What are the Criteria for being a good researcher ? Is it the number of Scopus Publications (or publications in reputed journals)? or the number of publications in edited books? or the number of Citations? H-index? I-index?
Relevant answer
Answer
My opinion is that the h-index (and other rigid numerical metrics) are actually a lot less helpful than I think. Some of the best papers I ever read were by people who I had never heard of and the article was published in a journal i had not hear of previously (and just happened to find via Pubmed). Conversely, some papers written (or co-authored) by famous people in journals very highly regarded (with high IF); they were TERRIBLE!

Answer
I agree the wait is very painful. I have had this problem, myself, a few times. And sometimes, citations are not added to your list in RG and other platforms.
It depends more, I find on the journal/publisher, rather than the actual search platform/database (such as Pubmed or Scopus).

A descriptive anwer is expected from the researchers and editors with categorical illustration. Eg. SCI/ SCIE( Q1 to Q4)-Open acess or closed or hybrid/ Similarly ABDC and Scopus.
Relevant answer
Answer
The decision time in this situation is quite variable. I have found that it depends more on the journal itself (or the editor, or both) rather than a specific journal. Likewise, it is difficult to generalise to just "good peer reviewed journal" as there seems to be such a big difference, again, from one journal to another.

I have heard the exact opposite from most where their articles are indexed on Google scholar but not on Scopus.
In my case I have an article that is indexed on Scopus as well as Web of Science, however, I can't find the article with the DOI on Google Scholar. Currently, Google Scholar is only showing the arXiv preprint of the article and it's been over 2 months since it's been published and over one month since it's been indexed on Scopus and Web of Science.
I was wondering if anyone has faced similar issues and if so, do you know the best way to update the metadata for Google Scholar so that it can more accurately index publications?

However, it does not show any of the references and folders that are being shown on my Mendeley desktop and reference manager. I have tried synchronising, but it did not help. Currently, I have MS office 2021.

The publication of books and papers is mostly in the hands of private publishers. These act as all other private companies. State funds are also payed to a variety of other companies, including weapons manufacturers. This has nothing to do with ethics, only with business.

Dear friends and colleagues
Hello
I need guidance on choosing the right journal for my work.
1- Although some journals are classified as Q2 in Scopus and have a reputable publisher such as Springer, they are not indexed in the Web of Science and do not have an impact factor. What do you think about these types of journals?
2- As you know, Scopus and Web of Science have classified journals according to Q, which is different in many cases. For example, a journal may be classified as Q1 in Scopus, but the same journal is classified as Q2 in Web of Science. Which Q is the criterion? Universities and research institutes consider researchers' research scores according to which Q?
I am waiting for your valuable answers.
Thank you so much.
Yours sincerely,

I am PhD candidate in environmental sociology and currently waiting for the viva voce examination that will be expected in December 2022. I just would like to know, what is a good or minimum h-index for Scopus that we can say is a baseline for PhD graduates to be eligible to apply for senior lecturer/ academician post in university?
Relevant answer
Answer
In general this is virtually impossible to say. I depends on numerous variables, think of:
-Difference between the various disciplines
-Differences between countries (and between different universities)
-Other criteria than H-index. I see here on RG that in some countries it depends on number of publications in Scopus and/or papers in journals with an impact factor
-Etc.
I found a source that not looked at number of publications but indeed to the closely related metric the h-index (for more info, and criticism, see for example https://www.aacc.org/cln/articles/2019/september/scientific-impact-and-the-h-index).
They studied your question and they found “A colleague and I surveyed typical values for academic physicians in 14 medical specialties (Am J Clin Pathol 2019;151:286-91). We found that, on average, assistant professors have an h-index of 2-5, associate professors 6-10, and full professors 12-24. These are mean or median values only—the distribution of values at each rank is very wide. If you hope to win a Nobel Prize, your h-index should be at least 35 and preferably closer to 70.”
But this is only studied in the field of medicine. In general I hope that selection is based on more than just counting numbers (publications, citations, etc.).
Best regards.

Kindly discuss your any sort of experience or familiarity with the Scopus indexed journal titled NeuroQuantology. It will be a great deal of help for novel researcher. Thanking you in advance.
Relevant answer
Answer
Stay away from this one. Already when this journal started there were doubts about the relevance (or even existence) of such a thing as NeuroQuantology https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/NeuroQuantology I see numerous disturbing things:
-In their announcement https://www.neuroquantology.com/announcements.php they proudly mention CiteFactor while this a notorious example of a misleading metric often used by predatory journals (see also https://beallslist.net/misleading-metrics/ )
-Here they mention membership DOAJ while they are not https://www.neuroquantology.com/about.php
-Contact info is virtual office and suggest UK and Singapore based whilehttps://portal.issn.org/resource/ISSN/1303-5150 indicates it is (used to be?) Turkey
-At their homepage https://www.neuroquantology.com they show alternating logo’s including Clarivate (this is misleading because they are not indexed in SCIE since 2019)
-Looking at https://www.scopus.com/sourceid/11600154151 and click on “Scopus content coverage” it is clear that the last couple of years they start to accept and publish suspiciously more papers than before (this is for Scopus often a reason to discontinue the title)
-Just checked randomly several titles and too many have no relationship whatsoever with the scope of the journal
-As indicated by Santhosh Kumar Rajamani According to a comment in SCImago (scroll down) to one of the most recent comments https://www.scimagojr.com/journalsearch.php?q=11600154151&tip=sid&clean=0 the decision is made to discontinue this journal title in Scopus
-According to https://www.scilit.net/journal/802373 they ‘published already more than 300 papers (in issue 1 to 5), however looking at for example issue 10 I see countless number of pages with papers. So, indeed a more than suspicious increase in published papers this year
In other words, I strongly feel that this journal is no longer safe (perhaps even hijacked?). It looks like that they are now publishing and accepting everything (until it is clear to everyone that this journal is discontinued in Scopus), they are ‘cashing’ the Scopus indexing as long as they can. I would say avoid this one.
Best regards.

I am keen to publish some research papers in the domain of Human Resources Management in fast-track mode. One of my latest research papers is ready for submission. It would help if someone lets me know which of the Scopus indexed management research journals in the 4th quartile, process submitted research papers fast and publish the same quickly after acceptance.
I notice that journals take a lot of time to process the submitted articles after acknowledging their receipt and later a lot of time to publish accepted articles.
I am seeking this information as part of my academic requirement at the university where I am pursuing my Ph.D.
I would be grateful if some of my fellow researchers share this information.

Is "Clean Technologies" Journal indexed in Scopus now. The attched link shows the Clean Technologies" Journal. I am asking how can we make sure that Clean Technologies" Journal is indexed in Scopus?
Relevant answer
Answer
The answer is yes, and no. Strictly speaking this title is right now not (yet) indexed in Scopus. If you check this title in Scopus sources (https://www.scopus.com/sources.uri?zone=TopNavBar&origin=searchbasic) it does not pop up (yet).
However, I would say yes in the sense that “Clean Technologies” is mentioned in the list of accepted titles (see enclosed file). The track record of the publisher of MDPI is such that most likely the title will be added to the list of Scopus titles (and indexed in Scopus) soon.
Take for example “Epigenomes” that was accepted in Scopus on February 28th, 2021, and is now fully indexed in Scopus https://www.scopus.com/sourceid/21101043576 with coverage from 2017 to present.
In other words, I expect that let’s say next year March 2023 or so (perhaps sooner) your papers of June 2022 will be considered nicely Scopus indexed because then this title is ‘officially’ indexed in Scopus with coverage from 2019 to present.
Best regards.
PS. When a title is accepted for indexing in Scopus then it still takes some time to integrate this new title in the Scopus database. Sometimes a title does not make it into the list, see for example:
As said MDPI has a good track record in getting their titles indexed so I expect no problems and you will find the title in the Scopus sources somewhere next year.
