ERROR: Cannot determine nominal rail offset of Rail-Wheel Pair $RWP_Bogie_B_Wheelset3_Right. ret = 1
Please try again with better initial values.
In the simpack locomotive model, a JM3 tread that actually runs 100,000 kilometers is introduced. The model cannot run, and the above error situation occurs. The introduction of this tread in other high-speed vehicles can operate normally.

I get the same error when I want to run a simulation with worn profiles. Did you solve the problem?
Thanks

Hi, Have you solved this problem? I also have the same problem that cannot be solved. The error message is as follows. Thank you
ERROR: Cannot determine nominal rail offset of Rail-Wheel Pair
$S_Wheelset_Front.$RWP_Right.
ret = 1
Please try again with better initial values.

Even when multiple railway tracks are defined within a model in Simpack software, only one can be activated at a time. However is it possible to show two tracks simultaneously, for visualisation purpose? Example- In a turnout, to show straight and divergent routes.
Thank you.
Relevant answer
Answer
The only way I can think of to show both straight and divergent routes at the same time is to specify the cross sectional profiles for both of them in the prr files. So the prr files would need modifying to include the data points for both/ multiple routes.

Hey,
I am working on the Multi body dynamics of a 300kW VAWT as part of my graduation thesis. I have created a reduced order model of the turbine using SIMPACK (MBD solver from dassault systems). I am facing some difficulties with running modal analysis due to error in modal matrix being singular.
I am reaching out to people who have worked with SIMPACK, hoping to get some help with my model .

I'm a Masters Student at TUM and I have been working on a project with SIMPACK I have made the stress analysis on my model in SIMPACK and also exported the fatigue input for fe-safe but when I try to import that data file into fe-safe i keep getting the error 'Failed to read stress information from FBI file.' How do I tackle this because after the error fe-safe reads the Groups and Assembly but my Datasets keep coming empty as a result I cannot perform the fatigue analysis. Does anybody know the solution to this error or what am I doing wrong. Also is there any why I can bring this fatigue data directly in ansys so that maybe i can analyse there if not fe-safe?
Relevant answer
Answer
While I haven't done this particular import before, the first thing would be to check if you actually got stress data written to your FBI file. Normally if the data is there, FE-SAFE is pretty good at picking it up. Most of the time, something goes wrong with the data export.

Question

I am working on a Matlab script, trying to implement a Simulated Annealing algorithm to obtain once and again the eigenvalues from a Simpack model.
What I want to do is to generate some new parameters in Matlab, then, copy those parameters and paste them as Subvars in the model that I have in Simpack. So, the question is, how can I modify Simpack Model's Subvars from Matlab, refresh the model and run Simpack's Eigenvalue Solver again, with the modified model?

Good evening to you all.
I have modeled a bogie using Simpack software and i tried to connect the primary suspensions, secondary suspensions but this bogie leaves the track (flies) and after 4 seconds, it comes come back on the track and moves normally. I am confused and i dont know why this is happening? I have followed the tutorials on youtube but they are incomplete. Please help. Thank you.

I am conducting research to know the responses of the passenger train collision difference scenario with multibody dynamic method. I use SIMPACK software to buid the model. but, I can't get the good result especially on the acceleration result. I got very big deceleration. Any body have same experience like me? any suggestion for another software for better result? I have a plan to improve my research and continue with hybrid model using finite element and multibody dynamic to precisely know the responses during collision.

I can find papers about the "quasi-elastic" contact search method used in older versions of Simpack. However, I could not come across with some papers describing equivalent elastic contact search method used in newer versions of Simpack. Is there anyone knows some references about it?

you can find a short description about this concept in the paper 'USE OF “CONTACT” IN MULTI-BODY VEHICLE DYNAMICS AND PROFILE WEAR SIMULATION: INITIAL RESULTS'. Hope it is helpful.
