What aspects of working with data are the most time-consuming in your research activities?

What functional capabilities would you like to see in an ideal data work platform?

Please expound keeping in mind research data management

I have thinking that have problems of data management within and sharing across the hospitals, that some hospitals have different systems so which factors cause to systems to share the data?

I'm aiming to:

1. Reveal views of faculty/PhD researchers as well as academic librarians on the adoption of Web 2.0 platforms at my university, specifically the altmetrics as a new impact indicator for scholarly output;

2. Discover the factors influencing the adoption of best practices matching the university environment;

3. Define implications for adapting the library service portfolio to include research data management accordingly.

May I know different  techniques and procedures followed by different organisations and /or individuals  to  curate their research data in their respective fields? This will help to undetstand the investigator better methods  for evolving   a sustainable and effecient mechanism of a data repository for reuse  etc

If given the option, would you publish your data exclusively in an institutional repository (e.g., associated with your university) or an external repository of your choice (i.e., not government mandated)?

Which would you prefer and why?

Context: the data that the system store and handle concern product and production development information within a factory in the discrete manufacturing industry, 

In particular, I ask for suggestions on how to perform a literature review/review of practices of data management systems, both generally speaking and/or within the context mentioned above.

Simply put, are any particular key words but "data management system* that suit this research area?

The volume of data/files stored in our personal computers, laptops as well as organizations is increasing rapidly. At certain stage, you have to decide which files/data should be deleted. Therefore, question is, how do you decide this? Please share your knowledge and experience.

Interest in research data is growing and researchers are being encouraged to have a research data management plan covering research project life and after life. Measuring research impact has traditionally focused on the results in the majority of disciplines but a shift towards measuring the impact of research data means researchers need to have a clear research data storage resource, and a research data management plan that complies with national data laws, research ethics, intellectual property and caters for re-use and re-purpose.
