The only confirmed theory of gravity is the general theory of relativity. It is confirmed by the results of observations. In particular, it has been confirmed that our Universe is described by Riemannian space. It has disadvantages: there are non-physical features in the solutions.
It would seem that there is nothing more important than general relativity and that is what we need to deal with... BUT
A favorite subject of thousands of unscrupulous studies, “black holes” are just an extremely deep potential hole. Against this background, the only full-fledged theory of general relativity is something unnecessary and insignificant. A similar situation is in cosmology - hypotheses are introduced and non-existent objects are considered as real.
At the same time, research into general relativity is considered incorrect and rejected without explanation. This indicates, in particular, that the system of publishing and financing science has outlived its usefulness. The system has closed on itself.
New research is not taken seriously. Science officials act according to a rule that excludes everything new and incomprehensible. Everything is managed by “effective managers”. They will never allow a “patent office employee” into their business.
Meanwhile, there are works that make the part of science that imitates scientific activity useless.
Review paper publishing for pharmacological studies.
After my submission was rejected by a Springer journal, I recently received an email from someone called Avinash Dhangar, who claims to be a "Submission Editorial Advisor" at the Springer Nature Transfer Desk. He offer to help with some journal titles to resubmit to. Do you think this is reliable? How can I be sure that he really works for Springer? Thanks.
Most journals considered predatory are not really predatory. I have personally sent articles to check how they operate. They did plagiarism test and also reviewed the papers. Another aspect is that, they are fast and cheaper. They dysmystify the research publishing process. However, older publishers and their editors will not accept this truth because it represents a threat to their monopoly. They came up with all kinds of databases spreading scare among scholars not to publish or review for the new open access. The irony is that, the same people who accused the new publishers of not doing peer review are also telling academics not to act as editors or reviewers for such journals. Their aim is to kill competition and perpetuate monopoly. They conveniently forget the antitrust law, for those based here in USA. Institutions should award credit to those who work for open access journals as editors not minding whether they are indexed in one particular platform or not. Institutions should also take the issue of peer review seriously by awarding points for peer reviewing. If academics and professionals get fully involved in open access publishing, high quality knowledge will be available on the go, time for publishing will reduce and cost of publishing an article will be pushed down by competition. At the moment the old publishers who charge over 2000 dollars for their open access journals are the real predators. People living in Nigeria my country for example, have attained very high level of information technology such that many are on the internet 24/7. So why should a Nigerian scholar pay three times his monthly salary to get published when there are international publishers based on the country charging around 100 dollars. Is it not the same people who write and publish in the so called whitelisted journals that publish there? What is needed in Nigeria and India which already have the technology for publishing science digitally is for academics to get involved in the editorial process. This will make them know those publishers that are abiding by ethics and the headache of having to wait for six months for editorial decision only for your paper to be rejected will be solved. Also, before patronizing a publisher online check the age of the website. If it has existed for five years and its articles are clearly accessible without adverts and technical quits, then you have a guarantee that it's a journal that will not short down within a short period of time. Universities should help their research get visible globally online by acknowledging all journals being covered by Google Scholar and whose articles can be found on researchgate.net
How should ChatGPT technology be improved and how should copyright legal norms be revised so that the continued development of different solutions, generations etc. of artificial intelligence technology and its new applications is not a problem for the development of science, scientific research, describing and publishing research results, etc. just to support the development of science?
The research shows that the development of artificial intelligence technology and its new applications, including the technology of the ChatGPT intelligent language model made available on the Internet, is currently proceeding at a much faster pace in terms of adapting legal norms to the new situation of rapidly developing new applications of this technology. In addition, the developing new applications of the artificial intelligence solutions available to Internet users generate not only positive aspects. For example, there are already numerous situations of disinformation on social media using photos, texts and videos generated by certain artificial intelligence solutions available on the Internet. In addition to this, the possibility of generating the texts of articles and essays using the ChatGPT language model available on the Internet, which does not show data sources, source publications or bibliography footnotes, generates a serious problem of violation of basic copyright issues. In addition, the ChatGPT-generated texts do not contain information indicating whether they are entirely the product of artificial intelligence creativity or whether they are, however, texts produced by 'assembling' them by combining paragraphs and assignments borrowed from other Internet-accessible publications, articles, book texts, etc., which were added to the database used by ChatGPT in 2021 after being downloaded from the Internet. This problem could also apply to the many other artificial intelligence solutions available on the Internet capable of generating images, videos, innovations, patents, computer software, new drugs, technical designs, artistic works, etc. It is therefore also necessary to build a digital labelling system for the various "works" created by artificial intelligence in order to distinguish them from what is directly created by humans. In addition to this, the improvement of such creative artificial intelligence systems should also address the issue of the automatic display of data sources, reference publications, annotated bibliographies and the elimination of the possibility of plagiarism in this way. It is also necessary to adapt the legal norms in the field of copyright law and, for example, also tax law relating to the issue of taxation of work carried out by artificial intelligence replacing humans in certain positions in companies and enterprises. In addition, other issues that require adaptation of legal norms to the current situation of different applications of artificial intelligence are how to solve the issue of authorship and gratification for "works" created by a robot or other machine equipped with an artificial intelligence system, when an intelligent robot has been produced by one company and another company has purchased it, and it is within the latter company that the AI-equipped robot has created certain "works" such as photographs, films, innovations, patents, computer software, new medicines, technical designs, artistic works, etc., which have been created by the robot. In view of the above, it is obvious that the development of artificial intelligence should develop in such a way that it does not get out of hand. This means, for example, that ChatGPT technology should be improved and legal norms regarding copyright should be amended so that the continued development of various solutions, generations, etc. of artificial intelligence technology and its new applications is not a problem for the development of science, scientific research, describing and publishing research results, etc., but only supports the development of science.
In view of the above, I address the following question to the esteemed community of scientists and researchers:
How should ChatGPT technology be improved and how should copyright legal norms be revised so that the continued development of various solutions, generations, etc. of artificial intelligence technology and its new applications is not a problem for the development of science, scientific research, describing and publishing research results, etc. only to support the development of science?

ResearchGate is an invaluable unique never-ending Global Medical Conference, wherein a constant meeting and clashing of scientific and philosophic minds, canonical beliefs, myths, assumptions, concepts, advances, proposals, and true meaning of data and serendipity in a truly stimulatory environment has become possible on innumerable fronts.
The provision of publishing of pre-prints with DOI is nothing but historic, giving whistleblowers the invaluable chance to correct the course of many-a-Titanic-like doomed scientific thrusts.
ResearchGate bridges the yawing gaps in thinking between the Institutions and the far-more independent individuals who do not have to justify research grants or seek patents or tenure or nebulous and shady/shadowy/unsavory associations with the overpowering device- and drug-manufacturing medical Industry, and encourages critical thinking with a stimulatory comment section.
Knowledge for sake of knowledge itself has evaporated from current medical scientific perspective. Now knowledge is a jostling competition for columns in journals, with well-established periodicals clearly favouring Institutional contributions and contributors. History suggest a near universal/global rule that innovation comes from the most unexpected direction, against stiff resistance from the leading authorities in the field (Horrobin, Lancet, 1996:348:1293-1295).
What additional avenues can ResearchGate provide to accelerate the pace of human scientific thinking and expose hope, hype and hokum in the garb of science?
The philosophy of science / scientific thinking / scientific notion precedes every data gathering-expedition. A hyper-focus on the philosophy of science and on fence-sitters of science who never respond to comments of their own data banks can accelerate forward momentum.
A separate section on SYNTHESES could be created to emphasize their invaluable contribution to human sciences.
ResearchGate has much to contribute to science, its potential is vast, and its future is a glowing beacon setting it apart from traditional periodicals and journals that are becoming more and more mercenary, that seek to keep egg-off-the faces of privileged authors and so-called leaders-in-science, remain steeped in tradition, and seek the future in the past.
Much of OPEN ACCESS published articles wield the ugly power of finance from sources with vested interests and deep pockets that will ultimately raise the question even with RCCTs sitting at the apex of the evidentiary pyramid: whose evidence is it, anyway?
Eventually, ResearchGate will invite its readers to give away in quasi-ceremony from their own research dens -- the Fortresses of Solitude -- the Whistle-Blower of the Year Award, even if it just a mention on paper/website. Progress is an amazing output of the rare creative mind willing to share and daring to bare. The rest is chaff.
The apocalypse of scientific drivel envelops (almost) all of us. Technology and statistics has kidnapped our ability to think critically and constructively and positively, to see the wood for the trees, to see the pattern where none existed previously, and to create the logical matrix out of nothingness. Everything in the vastness of all the galaxies has been created out of the Supreme Nothingness.
I leave you all with lines of sheer magic. Magic that has unfolded the Universe of Migraine and its manifold medical associations to me, the instrument only, and that I have not hesitated to share. Despite being accused of a messianic zeal, I will complete the part of the work assigned to me by Nature.
" Every research question has a different approach. True progress in science requires the ability to grapple with the immeasurable, the daring to view phenomenology differently, to give birth to and maintain a disquieting but penetrating dys-synchrony, to confront and not be overawed by history or consensus, to sustain searing self-criticism, and to carry curiosity and imagination to a defensible and generalizable conclusion." (Gupta, Functional Neurology, 2019)
Where you start invariably determines where you will end.
I have taken 8 decades to reach here.
Take this jump start to your advantage -- begin here.

Dear Scholars,
I hope all of you are doing well. At present, we all are trying our level best to do research. I am facing publishing articles in Scopus Indexed for a huge publication cost. Is there anyone who can fund or arrange funds so that we can work together?
Thanks.
I have an article that aligns perfectly with the theme of a special issue in an open-access journal. Regrettably, I currently lack the necessary resources to complete it. Consequently, the article has remained unfinished and unsubmitted to the journal since 2022. I am actively seeking potential collaborators who have expertise in the area of our article and are willing to contribute to the manuscript's revision. Additionally, if possible, collaborators who can share in the publication fees. My primary goal is to find a knowledgeable collaborator who can enhance the quality of our work. Your guidance and suggestions are highly appreciated.
Hi, everyone!
I'm considering generating a DOI for my thesis, but I wondered if this would be a problem if I wanted to write a paper out of it.
Theoretically, the paper would not be exactly the same as my thesis, but it would be pretty similar.
Does it depend on the journal, or there is no problem whatsoever?
Hi All,
I’m often asked to suggest academic Design Journals, but find it hard to find a 'one-stop' list so researchers/ students can review and select. I’ve started a rough list in no particular order (link below). Any Design related journal suggestions would be welcome, from Innovation to engineering, education to ergonomics, UX to Design history, etc. Discipline-specific or Interdisciplinary.
Please offer some suggestions and Il add them to the list. Looking for quality, peer-reviewed offerings.
Thanks alot!
P.J.
May I know how to send my article for publication here or I'm I to send already published paper (as an attachment) to be uploaded here?
I needed to be properly guided on this.
Thank you
I am pleased to share with you a comprehensive list of esteemed book editorials for call for chapters from renowned publishers including Taylor and Francis, IGI Global, IET Press, Elsevier, De Gruyter, Wiley Scrivener, and Apple Academic Press. As an editor associated with these reputable publishers, with these books, I take great pride in curating impactful publications that contribute to the advancement of knowledge in various domains and audience. In addition to providing the list of editorial members who will oversee the development of each book project, I also include important information such as submission deadlines and manuscript submission links via email. Authors who submit their chapters will be entitled to receive a copy of the final hardbound publication which will be made available both online and offline in leading bookstores and university libraries. Please note that these editorial lists are dynamic entities that undergo regular updates. We strive for excellence throughout the entire publishing process by ensuring rigorous edits and modifications are made based on expert feedback received from reviewers. It is important to acknowledge that after chapter submissions have been collected for each book project – an update we promptly communicate with authors – it typically takes approximately three months for our dedicated team at the publishing houses to complete the editorial print process before circulation. This timeline accounts for necessary revisions and refinements required during production stages. We look forward to receiving your valuable contributions towards shaping these books into influential scholarly works within your respective fields. Together, let us embark on this journey of knowledge creation while upholding high standards of academic excellence and University faculties and researchers from different fields will be benefitted from publishing their chapters with the book editorials.
It is a question that I came across while reading answers to questions regarding expensive fees being charged to professional authors by global prominent publishers, in order, to get their manuscripts/articles/books/etc. published.
Hi there, I would like to publish my undergraduate research in relation to Attention Restoration Theory and Stress Reduction Theory. Where is the best place to get this published?
We submitted a manuscript to PLOS ONE and were accepted for publication on July 12, 2023. We paid the article processing charge a few days later, but the article has still not been published (after 40 days). A DOI has been generated but it leads nowhere (10.1371/journal.pone.0289151).
We have tried contacting PLOS ONE through multiple email addresses and have received no response. We also tried to call the phone number listed on our invoice to confirm payment, but were directed to an automated message that told us to send them an email. Due to 'high volume' they expected to get back to us in 7-10 business days.
Has anyone else had delays in publishing with PLOS lately?
I submitted a paper to a journal of Emerald Publishing. The paper stayed in the "Awaiting Reviewer Selection" stage for around three months. But all of a sudden, instead of moving to "Under Review", the status changed to "Awaiting AE Recommendation". Is the change due to complexity in finding a suitable reviewer? Or are they considering the paper not fit enough to be reviewed?
N.B. The average time taken by the journal to accept a paper is below 6 months.
In today's complex academic landscape, determining a good journal involves considering multiple factors that go beyond traditional metrics, particularly given the rise of predatory journals and the proliferation of questionable practices in publishing.
Are traditional metrics like Impact Factor still relevant indicators of a journal's quality? What other metrics could be considered? How do we distinguish the good from the not-so-bad journals? What criteria should guide our assessment? I believe these questions are even more demanding for young/early-career researchers.
What do you think?
l know it can vary depending on the specific journal and field of study. However, generally speaking, and in your opinion, what is the best time to submit a paper?
- June, July & August
- September, October & November
- December, January & February
- March, April & May
I am interested in publishing research on deep learning-based automatic speech recognition (ASR) for a specific low-resource language. What are the key areas or research gaps that I should focus on to contribute to this field? Are there any influential papers or research works that I should read to gain a comprehensive understanding of the current state-of-the-art in this area? I would greatly appreciate any guidance or recommendations from experts in this field. Thank you in advance!

Is there a journal that would publish study protocol for no or very small fee? We are doing national study but it would be nice to get a protocol out so we attract more collaborators. (Study is on nipple discharge and breast cancer)
British journals in my area of expertise do not conduct peer review processes! Articles are based on stolen and copied knowledge published in the name of people that have not researched the subject at all! Does the phenomenon have anything to do with the tendency of British culture to misappropriate the treasures of other cultures or does the British Academy fulfil its scientific role in this way (and we all have to reluctantly accept its hubris)?

I am looking for documents relating to the permission of the US Office of Military Government in post-war Germany in 1946 to allow a single person to found a publishing house / media firm for special interest magazines, explaining why this person was allowed to open such a sensitive business. I thint that under record group number 260.4.4 Records of the Information Services Division it would be most likely to find such information, but I do not have any experience with such historical matters at all. Under the link https://catalog.archives.gov/search?q=*:*&f.recordGroupNumber=260&f.level=recordgroup&offset=0 I was not able to narrow my search to subgroups, so all results for record group 260 were displayed. Does anyone know how I am able to narrow my search to 260.4.4 and if there is any possibility to completely download a search result? So far I can only navigate through all jpegs of one search result.
If anyone has any other idea where to start my search I would be very thankful for any advice.
After devoting months to publishing my work, it is considered to be plagariazed as it was posted as a preprint in research gate. How can I get removal it from the database as it is showing similarities pleas!
What are the main differences between publishing in high-scoring scientific journals and low-scoring or no points?
The scientist tries to publish in high-ranked places but he is not always able to publish in other journals, which are low-scoring or without points. It depends on the field in which it operates scientifically, how many scientific journals are scored in a given field and what are the requirements and limitations.

I have been invited to join the editorial board of a journal called 'Arts & Communication', which appears on the website of ACCScience to be a newly launched publication. However, I have looked up some of the people on the editorial board - and some are very established scholars - but I cannot see mention anywhere of their involvement with 'Arts & Communication'. The invitation email looked genuine (none of the usual spelling errors, etc). If anyone can provide insight, I would be grateful.

We see more and more articles co-authored with a long list of contributors. However, as it is common practice to list the contributions of each author, we see that some co-authors have minor contribution, like only editing the paper, a supervising role, or providing a piece of equipment for the experiment. For some scientist these type of articles with minor contributions constitute more than half of their total publications. Those scientists will publish over 20 articles every year, which seems impressive, but in reality, they only have a minor contribution on each of these articles when they have one. Indeed, it becomes common to see scientists having a friendly agreement with each other (I put you on my articles, if you put me on your articles).
This contributes to create inflated CVs that can be unfair when it comes to hiring a new faculty, promotion, or tenure acquisition. It also dilutes the real contribution of the authors that did most of the work.
Therefore, do you think Editors and journals should ask to drop co-authors that didn't contributed significantly to a study?
In today's fast-paced digital world, where information is just a click away, the fate of print journals hangs in the balance. Will they succumb to the overwhelming dominance of their digital counterparts, or will they carve out a unique space for themselves? Predicting the future of print journals in the next 10-20 years is no easy task, but one thing is certain: they are poised to undergo significant transformations. Let's delve into the possible trends and developments that lie ahead.
Introduction
The growth of digital content consumption has revolutionized the way we access information, posing both challenges and opportunities for print journals. While it's tempting to assume that print journals will fade away entirely, a closer examination reveals a more nuanced picture. In fact, the future of print journals is likely to be shaped by a combination of digital integration, multi-platform publishing, enhanced reader experiences, data-driven strategies, and a focus on differentiation. So, what might the landscape of print journals look like in the next 10-20 years? Let's explore the potential trends that could redefine the industry.
Digital Content Expansion
As digital reading and e-publishing continue to gain traction, it's inevitable that print journals will embrace the digital realm. Many journals have already started offering online editions or e-books, and this trend is expected to intensify. We can anticipate a significant shift towards digital formats, ensuring wider accessibility and reach for scholarly content.
Multi-platform Publishing
To engage a broader readership and diversify content delivery, print journals are likely to adopt multi-platform publishing strategies. From online websites and mobile applications to social media platforms, journals will leverage various channels to amplify their presence and attract a wider audience. This multi-platform approach will enable readers to access content in their preferred formats, enhancing convenience and engagement.
Enhanced Interactivity and Personalized Experiences
Digital platforms offer unparalleled opportunities for enhanced interactivity and personalized experiences. Journals may harness these features to increase reader participation and satisfaction. Imagine interactive charts, multimedia content, and personalized recommendations tailored to readers' interests. Such innovations will not only enrich the reading experience but also foster a stronger connection between readers and journals.
Data-driven Content and Distribution
In an era of abundant data, journals can leverage reader analytics and behavior patterns to gain valuable insights. This data-driven approach allows journals to understand readers' preferences with precision, delivering more relevant and customized content. Moreover, analyzing data can inform distribution strategies, ensuring content reaches the right audience through targeted channels and platforms.
Differentiation through Print
While digital advancements are undeniable, a segment of readers still cherishes the tactile experience of print journals. This emotional and aesthetic attachment creates an opportunity for print journals to differentiate themselves. By offering high-quality print editions, unique designs, or collectible value, some journals can cater to specific readers' desires, providing a distinct experience that complements digital counterparts.
Conclusion
The future of print journals in the next 10-20 years will undoubtedly witness a digital revolution, but it doesn't spell their complete demise. Instead, print journals will undergo a metamorphosis, embracing digital integration while seeking avenues for differentiation. They will leverage technology, data, and reader preferences to adapt and thrive in a changing landscape. The ultimate outcome will depend on the progress of technology, the evolving needs of readers, and the dynamic nature of the publishing industry. As we embark on this transformative journey, one thing is certain: print journals are resilient, and they will continue to find their place in the ever-evolving world of scholarly communication.

Dear Colleagues,
Peer-review isn't working well, and it needs an overhaul. In the time of artificial intelligence, blockchain, and remote work, it doesn't make sense to wait for months just to receive few lines rejecting an excellent manuscript or accepting a poor one!

Are there any Scopus-indexed free journals (publishing free of cost) for Business Administration?
Dear colleagues.I'm looking for a medical journal publishing fast, not fake and indexed within Scopus. Any suggestions?
This seems to be an avoided topic. Many journals require some sort of fee to get published, even if not a predatory journal. This can be a barrier to people looking to publish earlier work without funding. It is even harder to publish review papers, as many journals want you to already be an expert in the topic rather than someone who is beginning their career chasing down and closing literature gaps. Are there any peer-reviewed journals that are willing to publish early career or student review papers without charging hundreds or thousands of $USD?
This topic has generated a lot discussion on the ethical implications of using language models like ChatGPT in academic settings. It drives us to consider potential biases, accuracy issues, and professionalism in academia while employing such technology. Furthermore, it encourages the investigation of alternate ways or complementary approaches that can improve academic success while resolving concerns about the incorporation of ChatGPT.
By considering the use of ChatGPT as a catalyst, and given the controversy surrounding their role, what are the potential benefits and drawbacks of introducing ChatGPT or similar language models into the academic product creation process? and does it assist the academic researcher in producing an efficient and engaging academic output, or does it cause the researcher to lose their ability to communicate ideas clearly and concisely and conveying arguments in a logical and convincing manner?
I want to know the fee required for publishing a original research paper. Thank you.
Why have I been making mistakes in submitting manuscripts to journals under the taylor & francis group recently ?
Do academic hiring committees consider book reviews?
I enjoy doing book reviews because I get free books, small publications, and it allows me to stay up to date on recent scholarship in my field. While I do not put all my publishing eggs in the book review basket, I generally always have at least one book review in progress on the backburner.
However, is it worth it for me as a PhD candidate to do book reviews if I want to apply for assistant professor positions? Are book reviews worthless in hiring decisions, even if they are in reputable journals in my fields of interest? One of my book reviews was peer-reviewed, does that make a difference? If I keep reviewing academic books, will it benefit my academic career?
I have heard mixed perspectives from academics. Some encourage students to publish book reviews since it's better than no publications at all and is perhaps a stepping stone to larger publications down the road, and others have said to just focus on publishing a few articles in top-tier journals.
As most of us know, the reviewer recognition website PUBLONS was taken over by CLARIVATE (Web of Science) last year and, a few months ago, Publons was merged with WoS., thus factually disappearing.
What do you think about this new scenario? Are we reviewers sufficiently recognized in WoS website? I personally loved the fresh, clear and dedicated webpages from Publons, and I don't think WoS communicates reviewer recognition as straight and clear as Publons did.
I would like to hear your opinions about this matter and about how to improve reviewer recognition in general. What can be done to improve the public recognition of our contribution to the publishing process? Every publisher says our hidden work is "crucial" to science communication, however I am not sure we are rewarded as we deserve...
I submitted a paper to a Scopus Q2 journal of Accounting. I checked the average time taken by the journal to reach decision before submitting the paper. 90% of the papers accepted are accepted within 7-9 months even if 6/7 revisions are done.
After I submitted the paper, it was not sent to reviewers for about 3/4 months. When the reviewers were assigned, they submitted review within a month. the Associate Editor (AE) however did not make any recommendation and send the paper back for three months. I sent 2 emails after waiting for 5/6 weeks; he never responded. I then emailed the EIC; he did not respond either.
I finally emailed the AE keeping someone from the publisher (Emerald Publishing) in the CC. The AE was notified by the publisher; AE got back to me immediately stating "3 months is not a long time. It is normal in academia to take 2 years to publish a paper". The AE forwarded reviewer comments within two days of such correspondence. The reviewers required effectively minor revision.
I submitted the revised paper one month after receiving the comments. Again this time, no reviewer was assigned for 2 months. When the paper was sent to reviewers, they reviewed within one month. Now, 2 months after the review has been completed, the AE is not forwarding reviewer comments. I emailed the AE, and the EIC. Again, they are not responding.
It has already been 14 months since I submitted the paper. Of this long time, it was held by the AE for more than 10 months. I have checked and found a writing by the AE in ResearchGate stating that he is quite engaged in some racial movement in his country. He was even in jail for some weeks.
Should I email the publisher again keeping the AE and EIC in the email cc? Actually the data used in the paper is getting outdated.

Hi there,
I wanted to know what went wrong with this research paper. I worked with my professor on a paper for our course: Consumer Behaviour. But it faced a rejection. I wanted to know why it was rejected, so that I can improve my chances of publishing a paper in the future, since this would help me in securing a PhD admission as well. I would really appreciate it if someone can help me review this. I have attached the paper and the questionnaire.
Any help would be appreciated. I would help out as well in any way possible to the person helping me.
