Questions related to Pomology
Res. Sir/ Madam,
I am working as Scientist (Horticulture) and my research focus is improvement of tropical and semi arid fruits. I am also interested in working out role of nutrients in fruit based cropping systems.
Looking for collaborators from the field of Genetics and Plant Breeding, Horticulture, Agricultural Statistics, Soil Science and Agronomy.
Currently working on Genetic analysis for fruit traits in Jamun (Indian Blackberry).
It is generally seen light coloured varieties has more storage life.what's relation with colour and size with storage life.
now we are working on some research focused on earwigs and we would like to know opinion from the researchers, fruit growers etc. if the earwigs are for you the beneficial organism or the pest of some fruit crops. Please could you fill in the short questionnaire? Thank you so much for the cooperation and your time.
Please send me the questionnaire back to email: email@example.com
All the best,

if subscriptions significantly impacted on impact factor, it is worthless to be specific in subject specific journal. For example, better to target horticulture journal rather viticulture or pomology.

If the present date palm yields are compared to 1961, one can easily reach at the conclusion that these either remained stagnating during last five decades or decrease compared to benchmark level, except a few countries like Egypt and Iran. The increase in production was mainly due to increase in harvested area and not increase in yields, except a few countries. The major area (Arab countries) where about 75 % of dates production is obtained is showing this situation (except Egypt). Surprisingly, trends in USA (though not a major date palm growing country) are also the same. Yield data for last five decades can be taken as a proof (Please refer to my paper "Global dilemma of stagnating/decreasing date palm yields during the last five decades" uploaded on ResearchGate website for ready reference). How we can improve this situation?
Date palm yields since 1961
Stagnating or decreasing trends in yield
How all the stake holders can improve the situation?
Can an increase in drying temperature (> 70 degrees) result in a decrease in colour parameters (LAB) of fruits, while total carotenoid and lycopene content increases? if yes, what is the scientific explanation for this occurrence?
I am aware that some efforts with somatic embryogenesis resulted in too many non fruit bearing trees, but I am hoping someone has better results to emulate
It is easy to understand the embryony at fruit bearing stage of citrus plant but it is very important to know at a young stage.
Is there someone interested in take part of a proposal under title "Optimizing efficiency of integrated water uses"

Does anybody has any experiments or information about use of GCms to identify and estimate the materials and amounts of them in bud extracts of fruit trees before and after freezing stress?
Manganese is a micronutrient that plays a important role in the nitrate reductase activity and formation of chlorophyll in tree leaf
For the last three years, my research has dealt with strawberries in Southern Rajasthan (India). Due to fungal diseases, however, plant survival is less than 25%. So, I regularly drenched the plants with bavistin, SAAF and DM 45 on a weekly interval, but plant survival did not improve. Can anyone provide any suggestions on how to control plant growth and survival?
