I am reconstructing the palaeography of Tunisia during the Turonian and the Coniacian ages and I realized that some areas are already resistant since the Aptian, Albian and Cenomanian. I wondered if in the absence of a triassic rise, can the deposition of thick volcanic series create a resistance of the sedimentary floor?

This tooth came from a Kimmeridgian locality in Northern Germany, yielding marine sediments. There is also a macroscopic and microscopic content of terrestrial taxa from this locality.
We are confused about the two-cusped shape and the very distincted facet of attritive wear.
Could it be a fish tooth? Similar mammal teeth are unknown until now.

I agree with Enrique Bernárdez. Especially when viewed from the underside, it does resemble the tooth of a pycnodotiform fish.
