My thesis in Quaker Studies centers on building learning targets for nonviolent social activists by applying strategic studies to recognized social movements. One of my micro-case studies is the effort to win women the voting franchise in the first two decades of the 20th century.

Wonderful answer, thanks. The "Suffrage Matinee" is interesting to me as a theatre guy, as well. I will certainly look into the Dani/McAdam, as well, That seems to touch closely to where I'm working, which is the application of strategic studies language to nonviolent social movements.

Who has done or wants to do research on how technology can scale moral courage--can make it far easier to recruit &commit critical mass numbers of volunteers for nonviolent civil resistance. campaigns? And how can I reach them to invite them to a brainstorm session (maybe several) on what might be the behavioral levers that are most likely to motivate most "concerned" but not activist people to minimize their fears sufficiently and inspire "their better angels" to commit to tactics that history has proven are the most effective for achieving positive system change in the battles against greed, racism, autocracy and ignorance; to be able to recruit the numbers necessary to vastly improve our chances to save what is still savable of Mother Nature and democracy in the little time we have left.' Entre to senior level programmers, or crowdfunding social media mavens would also be especially appreciated, as well as possible research interns. Any location.

Hello friends,
I want to get my Ph.D. in social movements and protest politics in Pakistan. Are there authoritative research books/articles written on the history of social movements and protest politics in Pakistan?
After a month of search, I couldn't find a single book, though there are several research articles written on the topic but these are just case studies of some events.
Is there any theoretical work done or going on in the field?
Thanks

The issues in the conflict are longstanding. It seems next to impossible for either side, especially on the extreme, to even imagine a way that the conflict can be resolved. For the people of the region, it is one that must be addressed and one that the whole world watches.

we can introduce some facts: the population in this land is divided 50% Palestinians and 50% Israeli. the question here is what Israeli leadership want and what Palestinian leadership can accept. The Israeli political elite said what they want last week in the nationality law; Israel for Jews, language is Hebrew, others are not allowed to be first class citizens. in this law, Israel includes West Bank and Jerusalem.
For Palestinians, they accept in two state solution on 1967 borders, it means Palestinian non- militarized state in West Bank and Gaza. Also, Palestinians accept one state -two nations solution. but it seems all suggestions will not end the Israeli colonial project as it relies on ideological ground.
