What information and communication technologies do you think are necessary to make the lesson more effective in teaching the subject of Material Resistance?
Relevant answer
Answer
We need to pay attention to the psychological needs of our students. Innovation will always come. However, families are not very well-structured in terms of values, affection and interaction among family members. Youngsters spend a lot of time alone. I am a great fan of promoting interaction among students during classes and exams.
One thing is to think big and want a better life. Another one is to think about technology-driven learning environments without empathy, compassion and tolerance.
Bottom line: Innovation with better human relationships.

ICT tools are mostly electronic and electricity based apparatuses which has made more comfortable than non-ICT tools like Newspaper, books etc.
ICT supported all categories of the stakeholders who are using these apparatuses like TV, radio, computer, mobile, tabs etc according to their knowledge and capacity.
ICT based equipments are user-friendly services to the normal stakeholders in the society. The people are convenient to operate these ICT tools because the language options will make them to learn how to operate individually.
ICT has great impact ok nuts usage by the massive technical and non-technical users in the community.
Due the invent if the Science and technology plus ICT tools are the added advantage to the everyone in the world. That is why the world has become Global Village nowadays.
The people are more addicted to the ICT devices than never ever before. It is very difficult to stay even single hour without ICT devices in the current situation. The impact of ICT has great significance effect among the people in irrespective of the environment.

Dear researchers,
During the Corona outbreak, the integration of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) has become a necessity, as ICT use in education is a systematic and structured process to improve its quality. However, as teachers ourselves, we do face some obstacles which differ from country to country, from culture to culture... Would you please mention some of these obstacles?

Answer
One obstacle that I had in teaching online in Japan was that many of my Japanese students were not willing to show their faces on camera when we were doing synchronous online classes. This also means that it's difficult to know if they're really listening to what I'm teaching them or if they're having a hard time understanding some concepts. In face to face teaching, body language and facial expression help a lot in giving the teacher a gauge on how students are receiving or processing information.

There are a number of ICT applications in health care practice today ( hospitals, polyclinics, general practice, nursing, public health etc.). Evaluation and improvement of such application is needed - first of all due to new knowledge in medicine and healthcare practice, and new demands for improving health of population. Digitalization of health care offer a number of possibilities, and what to do with such data is issue the health professional know best. "Nothing should be done for us without us" is a statement or the reason that health professional should be empowered to participate in development (evaluation and improvement) ICT applications for health care.

There is a large body of literature available on this topic, posted by the RG community members. What you need is to find an interesting angle to write about, rather than just write descriptively. Something like "overcoming the hidden barriers to mobile learning", or a generational comparison among learners, or comparing post-covid experiences across learners/teachers/stakeholders.

I refer to the problem of assigning a name to identifiers (attributes, variables, etc.) in software development of decoupled systems, with the need to create a match. Typical scenario is the development of Web application in a classical 3-tier architecture.
Data layer defines their identifiers(e.g., table/column name). The same for other layers (e.g., Java Objects/Properties in the middle and Javascript Objects/Properties in presentation layer).
The freedom for developers to choose names for these identifiers +
the need to create a identifiers match among layers +
the possibility in large projects to have separate developers groups (even companies) for the each layers
=
Create the "naming problem" : 2 identifiers do not match (e.g., Java attribute and table column) and system functionality doesn't work.
Often this occur at runtime.
In my experience the "naming problem" is the basis of most of the problems encountered during test phase.
It is surprising that many popular J2EE frameworks (e.g., mybatis) do not provide tools to validate this basic problem at compile/deploy time.

Developing and under-developed nations understand the role of information and communication technologies (ICTs) for generating fast-paced growth while providing new and unimagined opportunities for previously disadvantaged populations. ICTs provide easy access to the wealth of human knowledge and to communication capabilities. The benefits of ICTs provide optimism for economically poorer citizens as there are numerous instances of ‘clever services’ enabled by inexpensive mobile phones, which are providing useful information, for example, about potentially harmful counterfeit drugs, which is of obvious benefit.
ICT can be defined as technologies that enable the handling of information and facilitate different forms of communication between human actors, human beings and electronic systems.
Overall, ICT is grouped together under two categories: the ‘traditional’ and the ‘new’. Traditional ICTs are non-electronic media such as print and analogue technologies, including books and newspapers, radio, television, fixed-line telephones and facsimile machines. New ICTs consist of computers and the data processing applications accessible through their use: email, the internet, word-processing, mobile phones, wireless technologies and other data processing applications.

The appearance of COVID-19 has caused the modification of social relationships in multiple settings, where the university is one of them. How could the possibilities of interactive platforms and the Internet be used appropriately to guarantee the correct development of the teaching process in countries with little development in both aspects?
Relevant answer
Answer
1.Connectivity.
A first access barrier for using ICTs is the lack of a mobile network or broadband Internet network. In many rural areas, the basic infrastructure for ICT access is not yet presen't
2. Awareness.
Even if there is basic access and connectivity, not everyone understands what a mobile phone or the Internet can do for them, how to use a mobile for something other than a phone call, the kinds of information and services that can be accessed or delivered through a mobile phone or over the Internet, or how this information can be used to improve lives and livelihoods. Young people living in rural areas may not have ever heard of some of the mobile applications touted among development agencies or being used in capital cities.
3. Relevance.
Information and content available by mobile phone or on the Internet is not always culturally relevant, appropriate, in local language, consumable by the illiterate, or produced locally. This affects both motivation for accessing the information and absorption of information once it is accessed. It also means that the voices and contexts of much of the world are not represented.
4. Attainability.
Even if the other barriers to access have been resolved, socio-economic and cultural issues such as gender discrimination or attitudes about people with disabilities impact on the effective use of ICTs.

ICT has affected almost each and every area of business world. It has also assisted Govt. to curb tax evasion to a large extent. In manual records, it was not very easy to track the records,it is not so that manual record keeping was not efficient, but when we compare it with digital record keeping, then really manual record keeping seems to be less efficient,as far as retrieval of data is concerned. Moreover, various modes like eTDS, eTCS,e Filing of Income Tax Returns have really made tax payment by assessees, and in that way,Govt has also been able to expand its tax base by creating a large pool of satisfied tax payers. I am currently investigating in the usage of technology in the music class room in a collaborative creation setting, with kids aged 14-16.
Here, I am using interviews to develop an understanding of their experiences and opinions.
Reading up on relevant literature, it is often eg. described how the teacher-learner releation changes, but there is also the fact that teachers and students may be on a different level of "knowledge" about ICT. It could be that pupils, because they use a lot of (digital) technology in everyday life, know "more" than their teachers. This made me very curious to know more about teacher's perspective and opinions?
Are you as music education (context: school!) using ICT? Since when? in which way? What are you observing? What are your opinions, your experiences? Since when have you been teaching? Was ICT already on your teacher's training curriculum? Where are you situated?

E-learning implementation relies on the effective modeling of (among others issues) content, participants-learners, content providers, infrastructural supplies, technology and the organisational culture thereof. These actors do not affect the end result in isolation but as a collective. The effects of each player on the whole can roughly be explained using Activity theory or Actor-network theory but this is not very holistic. I have a feeling that the SNT is better suited to investigate this problem especially that culture has an important role in shaping the effectiveness of e-learning systems.

It looks like you want to test a "moderation" model, where ICT has interaction effects with all the links between your independent and dependent variables. This will be straightforward in ICT usage is a categorical variable (preferably a 2-category variable). If ICT is a continuous variable, you will need to investigate "linear by linear" interactions.

I intend to perform quantitative research entitled "The impact of Information and Communications Technology (ICT) on the psychosocial landscape of middle-income households, who were under COVID-19 lockdown" in Jaffna Divisional Secretariat division, Sri Lanka"
For the above research, I interviewed 40 participants. But the problem is, it is impossible to get the actual figure of those, who possess ICT facilities.
Please let me know how to determine quantitative sample size that represent an unknown number of population (because nobody knows how many people possess computers, phones and other ICT technologies in Jaffna Divisional Secretariat level)
Relevant answer
Answer
Dear Moses
Determining sample size is a very important issue because samples that are too large may waste time, resources and money, while samples that are too small may lead to inaccurate results. In many cases, we can easily determine the minimum sample size needed to estimate a process parameter, such as the population mean.
When You have not any idea about the population ( here in your question i.e. the prevalence of any disease) so you need to use the sample size calculation with a non-finite population. (As per your nature of the question) .
And in this case,(sample size calculation with non-finite population) you go with the Cochran formula, for this please follow the link:
or you can visit any other link related to Cochran formula (Sorry I do not know how to type the formula here, so please go to any of the link or just search):
And if the you are conducting case study then the size of sample doesn't matter.
Please find some of the files (related to sample size calculation) as attached files.
Hope you find all the information useful in the way to determine sample size as the case you have.
Happy researching...

Many e-learning platforms are used in many schools and colleges to enable classes to be conducted remotely, via the Internet. some schools and universities have developed these platforms before, even a few years before the SARS-CoV-2 Coronavirus pandemic (causing Covid-19). However, the current pandemic has hastened the processes of improving and developing the application of ICT and Internet information technologies in the teaching processes of schools and colleges. Platforms enabling the implementation of passive e-learning, i.e. mainly by sending teaching materials by teachers to students, have already been developed at many universities. In some schools and universities, e-learning platforms were also developed that enable the implementation of the didactic process in real time online, i.e. through remote communication of teachers with students in a multimedia communication formula (with voice and image in real time, two-way online communication). Currently, due to the SARS-CoV-2 Coronavirus pandemic, the development of this type of e-learning platforms and their use in the teaching process has increased.

Is there differents between 5G and orhers ICT infrastrure in terms of smart grid applications? For example, is there any different between 5G and LTE?
Relevant answer
Answer
Mahdi, please note that 5G is widely believed to be smarter, faster, and more efficient than 4G. It promises mobile data speeds that far outstrip the fastest home broadband network currently available to consumers. With speeds of up to 100 gigabits per second, 5G is set to be as much as 100 times faster than 4G. Therefore, it is able to handle more data exchange capability and may help the controllers of renewable resources, etc to respond faster and thus, improve the dynamic performance of smart grids. However, what's more important, I think, is the topology and configuration of the communication system. It is expected that future communications systems configurations are inclined to be more distributed through distributed micro-antenna.

Yes, as part of teacher improvement programs, it is now important to organize training courses for teachers on the use of modern ICT technologies, online, including applications helpful in conducting e-learning and specialized applications that facilitate conducting classes in specific taught subjects. Trainings organized for teachers in schools are helpful in this respect. Training co-financed by the school and organized as a stationary form in schools and in a remote form via the Internet. Currently, due to the development of the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus pandemic, which causes Covid-19 disease, the importance of training conducted remotely, via the Internet, and on the operation of specific e-learning applications is growing.

Answer
Covid19 is a global issue, hitting the planet and the people:
-1) the planet seems happy
When countries go into a lockdown phase, road and air traffic goes down by orders of magnitude (only essential workers travel to work: hospitals, food shops). Skies are blue, and air would be pure fit were not for virus loads in it very locally around infected people and animals.
-2) The people face high risk
They are in the hands of their government and healthcare system.
Governments have to decide if and when the country locks down, with everyone at home, except for essential workers and patients in hospitals, as well as the special case of people in care homes (neither a true homenora true hospital).
The interesting aspect for citizens is that they can analyse and compare how their government performs against the common global homogeneous threat Covid19.
Same threat, different response types and response times from governments.
We have example of governments claiming first to "send the virus packing" and then ending up "being packed" unfortunately by the virus. In other cases government heads believe that their athletic condition will protect them because the virus is small in size (100 nm).
There is also a new government figure becoming more important than the head of government: the country head of health or chief medical officer.
Citizens observe and compare daily death tolls, and speeches, decisions, from neighbouring countries.
The crowd has wisdom and knows that if all countries but the one where you are, then something is probably wrong with the decision makers in your country. Citizens may suspect that decision makers as CEOs of companies, watch KPIs, where priorities may be different from yours.
Everyone wants economic prosperity, but individuals have a survival instinct, stronger than being a soldier of the economic stability.
Citizens may assess the impact of political choices in previous decades to reduce state spending, and outsource roles to competitive markets with an aim to improve efficiency.
They suddenly realise that tests are not available for the whole population, not even for health care workers, that intensive care units are not available, nor the staff.
Everyone accesses detailed data on Covid19 magnitude, and resource to face the issue, decisions and methods are published around the world.
Citizens are judges. They compute, think, decide, based on facts.
Then they vote.
Let me conclude concisely:
-the end to end answer to the question asked here
"Given the current ongoing COVID19 crisis, how could the Smart Computing, Information Communication Technologies and Cyberspace contribute to solve it?"
data and facts available to the citizens on the homogeneous threat of Covid19 and its geographically differentiated impact, and responses implemented by each country, will lead to reshaping the balance between State and Markets e.g. through election wherever these happen.
That's the macroeffect of ICT ubiquitously available.

H Sidar,
It is a very broad topic, there are many good tried and tested methodologies, however from my experience there is not an off the shelf "one size fits all" solution. It would imporatnt to make reference to methodologies and take from their what is relevant to your situation or enviroment.
Some focal points:
Leadership support/sponsorship
The organisation needs to have a culture to embrace change
Involve the end user, us ICT folk tend stick to their "own views/opinions", but it is important to remember the IT system is their for the benefit of the business and the respective users.
Adopt a growth mindset

what is the theories related to information and communications technology(ICT)?
Relevant answer
Answer
Dear Colleagues and Friends from RG, ICT information technologies, including advanced data processing technologies typical of the current fourth technological revolution referred to as Industry 4.0. are used in various branches of the growing knowledge-based economy. One of the rapidly growing fields of ICT and Industry 4.0 information technology applications is the improvement of research and analytical techniques carried out on large data sets in Big Data database and analytical systems. Big Data database technologies are mainly used to collect and analyze large sets of information. Without computerized analytical systems such as Data Analytics and / or Business Intelligence, the functionality and usefulness of large sets of information collected in Big Data databases for specific research will be very limited. On the other hand, the use of computerized analytical systems such as Data Analytics and / or Business Intelligence in combination with the Internet of Things technology, selective data collection applications on the Internet and other ICT and Industry 4.0 technologies in combination with large sets of information collected on Big Data platforms is becoming an advanced instrumentarium research, which can be useful for conducting various types of scientific research and for the needs of business applications in enterprises and public and financial institutions. thanks to the above-mentioned ICT, Internet, Industry 4.0, Big Data etc. information technologies, it allows to reduce the time and increase the efficiency of conducting analytics on large data sets in order to define, define and characterize right data. The analyzes carried out in Big Data systems use the IT analytical platforms Business Intelligence, Data Science and Data Analytics, etc. The analytics carried out on the computerized Business Intelligence platforms is one of the key advanced information processing technologies of the fourth technological revolution known as Industry 4.0. The current technological revolution referred to as Industry 4.0 is determined by the development of the following advanced information processing technologies: Big Data database technologies, cloud computing, machine learning, Internet of Things, artificial intelligence, Business Intelligence and other advanced technologies of Data Mining. The analytics carried out on computerized Business Intelligence platforms currently supports enterprise management processes, facilitates the identification of opportunities and threats to the development of enterprises, allows you to quickly generate analytical reports on selected issues in the economic and financial situation of an economic entity. The applications of ICT and Industry 4.0 information technologies in the field of quantitative, statistical, probabilistic and predictive analytics carried out on large data sets obtained from various sources, including the Internet, are developing particularly rapidly. Statistical methods are used to analyze quantitative results of scientific research. In recent years, specific issues in the context of common knowledge are verified in information resources downloaded from the Internet. Downloaded from specific websites, including social media portals, large data collections collected in Big Data systems and are examined using the analysis of sentiment and opinions of Internet users on specific topics, issues, problems, manufactured products, etc. In this way, using ICT and Industry 4.0 can verify specific issues in the context of common knowledge.
Correctly carried out statistical methods used allow for objective processing of large quantitative data sets, thanks to which research theses are verified. The use of ICT information technology for the needs of statistical analytics allows for automation, standardization, objectification of carried out verification processes of quantitative data describing complex processes, etc. and reduction of the costs of analyzes. The computerized processes of applying statistical methods to analyze large quantitative data sets have enabled the development of analytics based on the application of advanced data processing technology Industry 4.0, including data processing in the cloud, in Big Data database systems, the use of Business Intelligence analytical platforms, the Internet of Things technology, learning machines, artificial intelligence, etc. Without statistical methods, the effective development of advanced analytics, Data Analytics, Data Science, etc., was not possible. Therefore, without the use of statistical methods in the verification and analytical processes of large quantitative data sets, the development of scientific research would be much slower than it proceeds. The analytics carried out on computerized Business Intelligence platforms currently supports enterprise management processes, facilitates the identification of opportunities and threats to the development of enterprises, allows you to quickly generate analytical reports on selected issues in the economic and financial situation of an economic entity. In recent years, ICT and Industry 4.0 information technologies have been used in conducting predictive analyzes of complex economic, financial, natural, geological, climatic processes, etc. Predictive analysis has been improved for many years by using computerized modern ICT information technologies, which include processing in cloud computing of large data sets stored in Big Data database systems. Predictive analysis can also use Business Intelligence analytics and other innovative information technologies typical of the current fourth technological revolution known as Industry 4.0. The ICT ICT technologies listed above as well as advanced information processing and analysis technologies Industry 4.0 are increasingly used for the needs of conducting predictive analyzes regarding, for example, marketing activities of various business entities that advertise their offer on the Internet or analyze the needs in this regard reported by other entities, in including companies, corporations, financial and public institutions. More and more commercially operating business entities and financial institutions conduct marketing activities on the Internet, including on social media portals. More and more public institutions and business entities, including companies, banks and other entities, need to carry out multi-criteria analyzes on large datasets downloaded from the Internet describing the markets in which they operate and contractors and clients with whom they cooperate. On the other hand, there are already specialized technology companies that offer this type of analytical services, including predictive analysis services, they prepare commissioned reports, which are the result of such multi-criteria analyzes of large data sets obtained from various websites and from entries and comments contained on social media portals based on sentiment analysis of the content of entries in Internet users' comments.
One of the rapidly developing fields of implementation of ICT and Industry 4.0 information technologies into economic processes is online electronic banking and e-commerce. The key determinants of the globally developing e-commerce relate primarily to the implementation of ICT information technologies and advanced data processing technologies, i.e. industry 4.0 typical for the current technological revolution to computerized, automated transaction systems supporting online trading. In addition, the use of blockchain technology for transaction security systems and data transfer on the Internet. The use of ICT information technologies and advanced data processing technologies i.e. typical for the current technological revolution Industry 4.0 to online transaction systems supporting e-commerce already applies to almost all the functioning of online stores, from computerized sales support systems, logistics, accounting, reporting, risk management to Internet marketing activities and improving security systems for online transactions. Another important determinant of e-commerce development is the development of online mobile banking available on mobile devices and new solutions related to the Internet of Things technology. Online banking is starting to dominate, the development of which is determined by technological progress in the field of information technology ICT and Industry 4.0. Computerization is also increasingly affecting public sector institutions servicing tax systems and settlements of business entities. In addition, Business Intelligence analytical platforms supporting the management processes of companies operating also in the e-commerce sector have been developed for several years. The analyst of large information sets in Big Data databases is also developing. Big Data Analytics and Data Science analytical systems are also used by businesses operating also in the field of e-commerce. In recent years, new internet marketing instruments have also been developed, mainly used on social media portals, and are also used by companies operating in the e-commerce sector. Internet technology and fintech companies are also emerging that offer information services on the Internet to support marketing management, including the planning of advertising campaigns for products sold via the Internet. To this end, sentiment analyzes are used to survey Internet users' opinions regarding dominant awareness, recognition, brand image, mission and the offer of specific companies. Sentiment analysis is carried out on large data sets downloaded from various websites, including millions of pages of social media portals collected in Big Data systems. The analytical data collected in this way are very helpful in the process of planning advertising campaigns carried out in new media, including social media portals. These campaigns advertise products and services sold via the Internet, available at online stores. In view of the above, the development of e-commerce is determined mainly by technological progress in the field of ICT information technologies and advanced data processing technologies Industry 4.0 and new technologies used in securing financial transactions carried out via the Internet, including e-commerce related transactions, e.g. technology blockchain. To sum up, information ICT and Industry 4.0 are an important factor in economic development primarily in emerging knowledge-based economies. In many countries, there are investment programs financed also from public funds to activate the development of applications in the ICT and Industry 4.0 industries. In this way, individual developing countries whose economies are largely based on such production factors as technology, information, innovation, entrepreneurship and knowledge build their comparative advantage. Building comparative advantage in knowledge-based economies includes investment in new technologies, including Internet, ICT and Industry 4.0. Investments carried out in modern internet technologies, ICT and Industry 4.0 increase the efficiency of production processes, logistics, management, marketing, risk control etc. in enterprises operating in various branches of the economy. I have described the above issues of various aspects of the application of information systems and ICT, including Big Data, Business Intelligence in companies operating on the Internet in my scientific publications available on the Research Gate portal. I invite you to cooperation.
Best wishes

Dear all,
My research is on ICT influence in family functioning. I adopted a research model developed by Hertlein. Totally there are 3 main factors and 6 sub factors (for 2 main factors, i.e. 2x3=6) are present in the model. But no standard questions are found out for the factors mentioned in the model. So i developed the questionnaire for the factors. I did exploratory factor analysis and got the required result. When i proceeded to do the SEM model, amos is not giving the model fit value. So I am confused to use amos or Smart PLS. Because at some books i read that smart PLS is suitable when there is no established questionnaire . I have a doubt whether lack of established questionnaire is the reason for no fit in amos?
Because in my case the relationship between factors are present in the model but only the established questionnaires are not present.
In my research i have one independent and 7 dependent variable. I want to check the influence independent variable on the dependent variable.
So Kindly suggest me which software to proceed. Amos or Smart PLS?

In the process of teaching and learning ICT plays a major role today. Integration of ICT has many benefits. The learners get ample opportunities to understand new, abstract concepts easily, it supports to transform teaching and learning from teacher centered to student centered, mostly it enhances the visualization skills of students, classroom management no longer be a difficult task, increases the interest of students towards the subject etc.
But the mode of ICT tool must be carefully selected as it highly depends on the specific subject, specific concepts of the particular subject, context of the students and many other factors. Otherwise it too becomes just transmission of knowledge without any active participation.

THE INTERNET, INFORMATION, AND EMPOWERMENT
Meanwhile, this person can help you:
according to Starkey (2003), empowerment is discussed with increasing regularity, yet remains a contested concept which is often not clearly defined. An explanation for this could be diverse origins. As a concept, empowerment has its roots in a range of traditions, including among others, the civil rights, anti-racist and women’s movements and consumerism. Thus, empowerment holds varying meanings in a range of contexts with different underpinning assumptions and ideologies. In order to establish a theoretical framework, this paper will outline two competing discourses identified by Croft and Beresford (1995): the consumerist model of empowerment and the liberational model of empowerment.
Empowerment and Information
Information underpins both buyer and supplier power in the marketplace. Keh and Park (1988) suggest that information allows access to more products and allows individuals to learn about manufacturers and distributors, competitive offerings and prices. Pitt et al (2002) note that information incompleteness and information asymmetries do not provide conditions where individuals feel they have all the information to act, in a sense rendering them powerless The power of information is manifest in the relationship between consumers and professionals (such as health care professionals or financial services professionals).

Smart grids can be defined as supplying Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) tools to those traditional grids as one way to manage breakdowns and respond to emerging changes quickly and efficiently. Even when utilizing smart grids, some power outages may occur. In this case, the smart grids can perfectly spot the problem by means of softwares and level the power around the problem, preventing its spread. In fact, issues like power system restoration, blackout prediction, and resiliency are still posing problems even with the manipulation of some algorithms like Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition Systems (SCADA) and High Voltage Direct Current (HVDC).

Definitely it should be used several applications in control room for weather hazard on power system. SCADA system will be first source of information from power system and in control room can be used like base source for other application in control room. Smart grid applications in control room should have Intelligent Alarm Processing system, IAP. That application are feed from SCADA system and have special algorithm. With that, application will give in real time root cause analyses, which means it will be exactly pointed the first disturbance, which cause cascading event or blackout. Performance metrics for that application is running in real time, second or two delay in comparison with SCADA time. In circumstances like cascading events large amount of signals are inflow in SCADA and it is hard to recognized important signals for dispatcher in control room. Other applications in control room are weather applications. Lightning Location Detection system, LLS is crucial part of smart grid applications in control room. With that applications it is possible to track in real time storms and it is possible to do predictions where and when storms move. Performance metrics for that application is also real time, only few seconds’ delay after SCADA events. Complex LLS system use SCADA like source for own algorithm, beside the detection from lightning sensors. Blackout prediction is a complex process for Transmission System Operators, TSOs. It runs on various time horizons, yearly, monthly, daily, hourly and in almost second range. Energy Management System, EMS have state estimator which is operate each minute or more often in control center. In addition, it start calculations on topology change and calculate N-1 security constrain.

Research is actively trying to innovate an propose new tools that will be used by future generations. However, this constant flow on new technology, that will continue to increase exponentially, accelerates the progress and replaces certain tools that we currently use.
An example that is close to my field of research is serious games for functional rehabilitation. Currently we are conceiving and implementing home-based serious games for people with musculoskeletal disorders. We suppose that the current adult generation should be open to using these systems since they are well adapted to using PC's and connected objects. But will these platforms that we are developing, going to be relevant in 10 years time, when the adults are supposed to benefit from them? or will they be replaced by other concepts.
Relevant answer
Answer
This is a very pertinent issue. From the hypotheses which we drew from some strategic foresight exercices, we have studied along several years the developement of technology in order to see if these hypotheses were verified or not. That led us to note that there is a real tendancy to the change in work methods, in production organization, which is not really motivated by real needs, but by a simple will to change, because change is supposed to be good (agile firms, etc.)
Consequently, some hypotheses formulated in the articles, books, etc. listed below will have a short life. If you have enough time to read some of those papers, you should find several examples:
