Dear researchers,
I am excited to announce the launch of a new collaborative research project on the essence of knowledge. I hope to collaborate with a small group of researchers, producing a preprint, which will be uploaded on ResearchGate and, if possible, submitted for publication in an open-access peer-reviewed journal. I would be honored to work and coauthor a paper with PhD holders and professors from various backgrounds. Although I don’t have a PhD and only hold a Master’s degree, this is an intellectual challenge for me to step out of my academic comfort zone and lead a scholarly project.
This project will be entirely asynchronous, allowing for flexibility. Participants are welcome to join regardless of their disciplinary background, as knowledge is a concept that invites diverse perspectives.
Project Description
Objective
The goal of this project is to collaboratively author a research paper that contributes meaningfully to the exploration of knowledge, demonstrating its multifaceted nature from interdisciplinary perspectives, historico-cultural contexts, analyzing it through philosophical insights, and other field-specific aspects.
Participant Criteria
• Must be a PhD holder or professor.
• Willingness to work asynchronously and collaborate effectively with other team members.
Key Information
• Research questions, project structure, and other information will be available at the beginning of the program.
• Contributors will be listed as coauthors in the final preprint.
• Number of participants: 5–7, including myself.
• This is not an institutional or university project but is independently led by me.
Contributors’ Roles
The central role of contributors will be actively contributing to the paper’s development and coauthoring alongside others. Additional tasks may include refining ideas, editing sections, and providing feedback.

I am pretty new to Rietveld refinement and I am trying to do the analysis on the std material LaB6 Nist 660a. The goal is to extract the IRF function of the instrument.
I am using Fullprof software to do the refinement.
The best I can achieve is not so good (chi=23, I upload the PCR file). I notice that most of the error is coming from low angle peaks, which are very asymmetric...As you can see in the pcr I already tried to fit the asymmetric coefficient, so I am wondering if is it normal to have this asymmetry with a standard material or should I change some instrumental parameters and redo the measurment? (soller, slits...)
Moreover, should i remove the CuKalpha contribution when doing the refinment of the STD material?

Students should engage in goal-setting meetings with mentors and senior staff to clarify expectations and address any potential misalignments in treatment priorities early. The United Nations in 2015 created 17 sustainable development goals and aimed to achieve them by 2030. The United Nations 193 member states agreed on these 17 goals to end poverty, ensure prosperity, and protect the planet. The goals include: no poverty, zero hunger, good health and well-being among others.
I'm curious to get the community's thoughts on where educational technology should be classified - under the field of computer science or under the field of education?
There are arguments that could be made for both perspectives. Educational technology involves the use of digital tools, software, and computing principles to enhance teaching and learning. This could suggest it falls more under the domain of computer science.
However, educational technology is ultimately focused on improving educational outcomes and the learning experience. The primary goal is not technology for its own sake, but rather using technology as a means to enhance pedagogy and support student learning. This points more towards education as the primary field.
I'm interested to hear how researchers and practitioners in this area view the classification of educational technology. Should it be considered a subfield of computer science, a subfield of education, or perhaps its own distinct interdisciplinary field? What are the implications of how it is classified?

We have started a synthesis effort called the “Global Spectra-Trait Initiative” (https://github.com/plantphys/gsti/tree/main) to gather datasets of paired leaf gas exchange (A-Ci curves) and leaf optical reflectance data.
The overarching goal is to create a database of spectra and physiological trait data we can use to develop spectra trait models for the prediction of the photosynthetic capacity of leaves.

Hi, I wanted to start a discussion about designing an off grid greenhouse which can then be built and tested at a farm site in Kittitas WA.

I am trying to test the coincidence lattice method for the interface between wurtzite (0001) GaN and cubic diamond (111). How do I rotate the two lattices with respect to one another using VESTA?? I am fairly familiar with the VESTA interface and have used it extensively, just not for something like this. For reference, I am wanting to do something like in figure 4 of this paper ( ), where the hexagonal lattice is matched to the cubic lattice (experimental results have told us that the angle is somewhere between 20-25 degrees). Imagine the WCED 1987 would have set only one sustainable development goal, closing the renewable energy technology gap to make renewable energy a permanent substitute of non-renewable energy as soon as possible and address pollution production head on by transitioning out of dirty economies.
Imagine 2012 RIO +20 would have made only one goal to support the implementation of green markets, to set up a system around implementation, financing, and monitoring of the closing of the renewable energy technology gap in each country as soon as possible to address pollution reduction head on by making pollution reduction a profit-making opportunity.
Imagine the 2015 Paris agreement had only one goal implemented in a socially friendly manner, to close the renewable energy technology gap as soon as possible to lead the dirty economy behind and stop providing benefits to those making money from dirty development.
Instead, attention has been placed on managing the consequences of pollution production markets which keeps renewable energy as a permanent complement and send dirty markets under permanent dirty market failure.
And this raises the question, should making renewable energy a permanent substitute be a clear and practical SDG goal?

Conditioned reinforcement links the basic principles of learning, motivation, and behavior discovered in highly-controlled foraging scenarios to everyday human behavior that is often remotely (if at all) linked to primary/biological motives. I'd like to poll the scientific community in search of examples of behaviors that you believe are governed by conditioned reinforcement. Hi im on my final project for my thesis and i get stucked in cloning phase. My goals is to inserting one gene to vector who has another gene too. So i have a gene called llm2-mutan and llm1 who's completely ligated with pet28a(+) as my vector/backbone. I'm trying everything like ligating in 16 C overnight, 22 C 3h, etc. My gene llm2-Mutan was a pcr product. Everytime i checking my colony using PCR with electrophoresis is always showing 1100 bp, but my goals is 2100 bp because i must insert 2 gene in one vector. Academic snobs are people who believe that they are superior to others because of their academic achievements or knowledge. They may look down on people who have less education, or who come from different academic backgrounds. Academic snobs may also be critical of other people's work, or they may try to belittle them in order to make themselves feel better.
Here are some of the characteristics of academic snobs:
- They have an inflated sense of their own intelligence and accomplishments.
- They are critical of other people's work, and they may try to belittle them in order to make themselves feel better.
- They may look down on people who have less education, or who come from different academic backgrounds.
- They may use their academic achievements to justify their sense of superiority.
- They may be dismissive of other people's opinions and beliefs.
Academic snobs can be found in all areas of academia, from students and professors to administrators and researchers. They can be a nuisance to deal with, but it is important to remember that they are not worth your time or energy. Focus on your own work and your own goals, and don't let them get to you.
If you are dealing with an academic snob, it is important to stay calm and confident. Don't take their comments personally, and don't engage with them. If they try to engage you in a conversation, simply walk away or politely excuse yourself. You can also report the behavior to your department chair or other appropriate authority figure.
Remember, academic snobs are not worth your time or energy. Focus on your own work and your own goals, and don't let them get to you.
What are the primary goals of management in traumatic brain injury (TBI)?
Since 1999, the recommended source of allowable error limits or Analytical Performance Standards has been to set limits based on medical need in specific clinical settings. I have been doing this since before CLIA was published and have attached our 1991 limits as published in an AACC course. Our lab director simply answered the question "How far can a result vary from the QC sample target (eg peer mean) before the doctor would take different action?
Do you know of any shared links, databases or articles that include medical goals? If not, would this be a good initiative for EFMLQ/IFCC/ADLM?
What do you suggest? Perhaps a survey we could distribute to see what limits doctors use in specified clinical situations?

Perhaps these questions can be called asymmetric questions, so that these questions can raise serious issues to identify the universe, which will be easier to answer definitively. I will ask some of these questions, and I hope you friends will also ask such questions to shed light on this field.
Also provide challenging answers for these questions.
First question:
Why is it difficult to understand the function and identify what the world is?
And is this difficulty to achieve a higher goal? For example, the world must go through certain periods of time to reach certain states?
Or should the world, like a reactor, have materials with specific input rates and specific outputs so that specific processes can take place in it?
Second question:
Is the universe without beginning and eternal basically fully identifiable by humans?
Third question:
Is there a specific limit for identifying the world, which is determined according to the use of the world for us, and after this limit, it is not necessary to identify it? In other words, is it meaningful to identify the world for its application in human life, and it has no meaning without practical goals?
Fourth question:
Does this world basically have a unique foundation? And supposing that once we have identified this foundation, what do we have to do after that?
Fifth question:
Did intelligent life only have the ability to be created in these dimensions, or was there a purpose for the creation of humans in the prison of the third dimension?
The sixth question:

I designed microstrip array antenna at 110GHz at CST MWS with taylor amplitude distribution and I get the wanted taylor amplidute coefficients with help of Matlab software to SLL=-30 dB.
With these coefficients I get at my antenna that the SLL is (-12.5)dB
I want with help of the optimizer function at CST to reduce the SLL to (-17)dB at least.

At our (University of Excellence - HEX) last two events, we asked attendees from the industry and trade sectors what they consider important for company attractiveness. Surprisingly, Strategy/Vision/Values, Leadership & Management, and Innovation were the top priorities. However, sustainability seemed to play a minor role. But is that really the case?
Do you recall the feedback from our survey participants on sustainability? The top concepts are based on UN Sustainability Criteria, including Partnership to Achieve Goals, Responsible Consumption, Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions. Yet, other criteria showed low significance.
Primary expectations for sustainability mainly focus on sustainable management for environmental protection, climate goals, and positive company development. The maturity level according to UN criteria is rated high/very high by 37%, but there's significant room for improvement.
Internal/external customer orientation reveals that 62% view fairness and justice through sustainable management as part of the corporate culture. Additionally, 62% involve young employees in sustainability matters.
Expectations for sustainable management: 62% anticipate positive results, while 26% are skeptical. In 41% of companies, there's still significant room for improvement.
Overall picture and recommendations: Companies should invest more in expanding sustainable management practices, not only for ethical reasons but also because it can lead to competitive advantages and better financing conditions. Integrating sustainability into the overall strategy and actively involving young employees are key factors for the long-term success of sustainable business practices.

I am working on solving optimal control problems through homotopy (continuation) method and indirect shooting method. Firstly, for an optimal control problem with a homotopy parameter \sigma = 1, I've mangaed to obtain the exact costate variables for all the local optimal solutions. My goal is to obtain all the local optimal solutions for the problem with \sigma = 0. Theoretically, this can be acheived by using the exact costate variables for \sigma = 1 as the initial guess for the shooting method. Then, changing the homotopy parameter \sigma gradually from 1 to 0 could result in solutions for a series of optimal control problems. However, I fail to find the solution for \sigma = 0.99999 when I use the costate variables for \sigma = 1 as the initial guess. FIY, the fsolve function in Matlab is used as the solver for the shooting function. Does anyone have the same issue? Thanks a lot!

Greetings fellow researchers,
I'm currently looking at how the results' validity can be affected by adding more boundary conditions and making geometric adjustments to the Ansys Workbench submodeling.
My working problematic is that the integration of additional geometric details, refined mesh in appropriate areas, and expanded Ansys modelling properties may enhance precision.
The study's goal is to determine whether creating a basic global geometry with suitable boundary conditions and then shearing the findings (total displacement) to a more detailed submodel allows for the generation of accurate results from a different boundaryconditions situation?
I would greatly appreciate any insights or experiences you could share related to this topic.

I am to work on a computer vision project where the goal is to count the number of totes in a pile of totes (image shown is an example of what the model might see). Was wondering what the best strategy would be to model this. For example:
1. Would it make sense to label ever individual tote in the image and just count every bounding box?
2. label the entire pile and estimate a count of boxes in the pile by calculating width and height of the bounding box?
Has anyone ever worked on something similar and what tools or models you have used to accomplish this?
For my research goal, I would like to extract a sustainable event pattern in the local area, is there any suggestion for that?
