Dear sir,
I am working on the fortification of milk powder. In this regard, the XRD pattern of fresh milk powder (vacuum dried) shows two minor peaks at 21.29o and 26o that refers to the crystallinity. Yet milk powder was 2 days weeks old when analysed. Can these two weeks may result in the crystallinity in sample? Is crystallinity desirable in powder as basically spray-dried milk powders are amorphous in nature?
Relevant answer
Answer
Mamta... To examine a complicated substance as milk powder by XRD is real fantasy. XRD is designed to show the diffraction pattern of real crystalline substances (mostly minerals and inorganic). Dry milk powder is a mixture of a large number of proteins and seldom indicate crystallinity. Clear diffraction lines and not a wide background signal as shown in your pattern. It is a real example of amorphous substance.... Good luck

Even with all these financial fortifications in place and armies of back-office staffers monitoring money movements, now and again hackers manage to get away with very large sums of money.
There are $81 million theft from the Bangladesh Bank account with the New York Federal Reserve that took place earlier this year as an example of how cyber criminals have reached new levels of sophistication. The Bangladesh heist was the work of confident criminals who knew their way about the system, avoiding the strongest defenses and targeting the weakest links in the international payments network.
Are Blockchain and DLT the Solution?
Relevant answer
Answer
Hi Ahmed and fellow researchers. Blockchain certainly has a role. But lets dwell on one important aspect you raise here "strongest defenses". Over 90% of successful attacks come from phishing emails and spear-phishing which target people to gain access to systems. This event was no different. The attackers then targeted a published vulnerability in Adobe to manipulate the straight through processing nature of SWIFT network. I dont consider those the "strongest defenses". These were either poor risk management decisions on controls design and effectiveness, or risk management decisions on risk appetite that someone took more risk with others money than they now chose to accept. The litigation around this and other similar attacks will help frame which one is legally accurate.

Conservation Department of the Ministry of Culture plans to build again an 18th-century fortification that was almost completely removed by the decision of the city council at the beginning of the 20th century. The general idea of the project is to return the so-called, "natural mantle" to the baroque city core (even though the wall was built later than the city) and to boost tourism attractiveness.
Relevant answer
Answer
Thanks for the answers. In actual case, the fortification build in 1722 is almost completely removed, including the fundament, except two (of eight bastions) at the river side (and those two bastions are restored and maintained). The rest of the space is rearranged and incorporated in the urban landscape of the modern city, what was the general idea in 1926 when it was removed.

I want use of nanoencapsulated limonene in beverages for fortification and then modelling release of that bioactive compounds in time-temperature treatments. I want suitable methods for modelling of this phenomena.
Previously I used fuzzy logic, artificial neural network, response surface methodology and mathematical modelling for other researches, can I use this modelling methods in this study too?
Thanks a lot

South Asian and some African countries are facing acute shortages of iron and zinc, how we can develop new food products to combat the iron and zinc deficiency problem in underdeveloped countries by using their own resources?
Relevant answer
Answer
It's clear that the phytic acid can be reduced the iron and zinc availability in animal and human nutrition. For reaction between mineral and phytic acid the pH of intestinal tract are very important, and if you can reduce the pH of the intestinal tract with the increasing the feed ingredients and nutrient to the foods that able to reducing the pH, you can increasing bioavailability of these nutrients. On the other hand vitamin c and vitamin A also can be help to the more absorption of iron.
