Dear colleagues,
I need to develop a marketing model for the brand positioning strategy. The field of application is represented by green products, more precisely by organic food. Therefore, the basic theoretical concept is: green brand positioning.
The sample will be represented by companies that hold in their portfolio brands of organic food products (marketing and brand communication specialists), therefore the model created should represent the desired positioning (positioning strategy): formulation/elaboration of strategy, decision making and, possibly, the communication of the positioning strategy (through marketing mix). I would also like to use structural equation modeling for hypothesis analysis.
1. What research variables should be included in the model? (maybe a series of factors that influence the choice of the most appropriate variant of positioning strategy depending on the particularities of the internal and external environment of the company ...)
2. Do you know similar models in the field of brand positioning, which address especially the field of food or the field of green products (or more explicitly, organic food)? What works, articles could I consult in order to make the model proposal? What do you recommend?
Thank you for your help!
Relevant answer
Answer
You may start from this base model. Then expand it towards a "green environment".
Hope it is helpful. Thank you

Dear Friends
Marketing is a research area that is both interesting and something I as a businessman learned to love. The research dimension of it however is not really my main focus as a businessman but as someone who has been teaching marketing and won an award in international marketing research..strange..hmm but ok :-) I have an interest even if my main focus is the strategical and hands on aspects of it since I first of all regard my self as a businessman. When it comes to research into marketing how do you see the future? Trends ? new theories on the horizon etc? What is your opinion? The word is free!
Best wishes Henrik

Anyone out there have an idea what a ton(ne) of cocoa butter costs these days?  I suspect that the answer might be 'it depends' (maybe on the type/grade/solids concentration), but I'm just trying to get a ballpark figure maybe with a range.  Obviously it's a different matter to by buying a ton on the open market as opposed to an internal valuation where a manufacturer is processing cocoa to make into chocolate, for example.

Question

Aucubin and the iridoid glycoside group show pharmacological and fodder poisonous efficiencies.
Own meadow observations showed me often diminishing grassland yields where Plantago lanceolata has lager amounts in agronomical used meadows.
Four linked informations brought me to the idea that Plantago lancetoides (ribwort plantain) and some herbs reduces growth of good fodder grasses intensive in low fertilized and managed meadows in Austria.
1
Botanist BOHNER explained; Plantago lancetoides is an indicator plant for low N turnover.
2.
Plantago planted as intergrowing crop showed one the lowest Nmin values with in comparison to fallow and other crops in field trials in Germany. (2015, MENKE u RÄUBER, Evaluierung von Winterzwischenfrüchten vor Mais zur Biogasnutzung).
SPITZWEGERICH niedrigsten spezifischen Methanerträge
This facts let me assume that the deep rooting Plantago (and may be also other VAM herbs) can immobilize or/and denitrificate soil N.
3.
Assays with mycorrhizal Plantago lanceolata and grasses shows that VAM mycorrhiza can suckle N and P nutrients vom better nourished grasses and vice versa resulting in significant own yield increases and elevated contents of these nutrients shown by Francis et al. (1986: Vesicular-arbuscular mycorrhiza ... IV. Transfer of nutrients in inter- and intra-specific combinations of host plants)
Plantago (and perhaps also other VAM holding herbs) use N+P of neighbour growing vegetation. This may explain that poor mountainous meadow soils with Plantago and herbs show often low and downgraded agronomical grassland yield tendency.
4.
Plantago lanceolata seems even to inibit the soil soil N mineralization and  may therefore control the plant growth of its vegetation environment
(2012, DIETZ et al).
Assays seems to indicate that Aucubin and perhaps also the weaker Catalpol of the iridoid glycoside group of Plantago may inhibit N mineralisation and robes N from grass roots by VAM. All that may lock good meadows growth and fodder yields.
Would you agreè with my thesis that meadows with a tendency of spreading Plantago this species would be a indicator plant for a down swinging meadow grassland to lower yields and fodder value?
Species rich meadows are claimed from biologists for richer biodiversity.
Isn't this very contradictory to the demands of practical farmers income for a own survive and public taxes that generated from always growing modernized food markets which want sell mostly low prized products but with highest quality of milk or meat products?
Look at linked references to my Plantago findings.
I guess your interesting knowledge based opinions, ideas and estimations from the impact of plantago for agriclutural meadows grassland.

Answer
If you begin to work on organic food, remember to also consider potentially risky aspects, such as the presence of fungal contaminants and mycotoxins. These contaminants are not necessarily present in greater amounts in organic food than in conventional ones, but sometimes the frequency of contamination appears to be higher in organic food. Just something to consider....

In order to organize a wholesale food market I need your opinion about the supply chains that work after and before the market..
Relevant answer
Answer
It depends on the structure of the market and on the power position of the actors of the food supply chains. In the Italian market, for example, the food supply chains are generally controlled by large retailers. The food producers are Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) that perform their production activities as suppliers of large retailers. From the network perspective, the large retailers act as network orchestrators managing the food producers’ supply chains and the relationships with the final clients.

What are the main things other than quality and price to be kept in mind while marketing frozen fish and canned fish in domestic market? Please share your views.
Relevant answer
Answer
My answer is that of a targeted consumer specialized in chemistry (marketing may be done on me & on those who adopt attitudes similar to mine):
First of all, I have to know the origin of the fish because, as you know, some seas are highly polluted.
Secondly, if the fish is canned, I shall buy those which have low sodium & fat contents even if the best quality of a certain type contains higher contents. Also, you may see in the market, e.g. sword fish with good quality & low price but canning has left some places in which little rusting is visible. Of course, I avoid them.
Thirdly, as for the frozen fish, even if they are salmon fish, my conditions to buy them are: the package is tightly sealed & solidly frozen with little or no airspace between packaging and fish, and with no odor & no coloration of the ice.
