that article is very important my research
Family Systems Theory by Murray Bowen is a specific approach which takes familial functioning into account. I am interested in how the concepts present in it will translate into a South Asian (or, to be more precise, the collectivistic framework of Pakistan) context? For instance, Bowen's theory is based on an understanding of nuclear family systems but how would it apply in the case of a joint family? In a culture where parents might be dependent on the views of the community in terms of bringing up children, how would Bowen's theories translate exactly (for instance, if they have a disabled child)? For example, what is the difference between Bowen's concepts of relationships between generations and the kinds that might emerge owing to different generations living under the same roof and with their extended family members as well?
Let's say, for instance, that it is not merely parents but also other members of the family such as extended family members or grandparents who either counsel children on "appropriate conduct" or even express disapproval and view it as appropriate behavior culturally. How do Murray's concepts such as "Differentiation" change in a cultural sense in that case just as one example out of many possible ones? In a culture where "adulthood" and transition towards it might exist in a legal sense but might not be necessarily viewed as "important" even for parental figures (for instance, even if children cross the age of 18, parents do not try to treat their children as "adults"), how would Bowen's concepts change? I am not talking in terms of applying these concepts therapeutically, but, in terms of how they might be applicable in a conceptual sense.
For the requirement of a study the respondent women have to have following fixed criteria:
1. Currently married working women with working husband
2. Have both male and female children
3. Ages of children are not below 5 years
In this case, what will be the best scientific sampling procedure?
In practice, Social Work acts from different professional perspectives. For example, the legal case perspective must be methodically related to other case perspectives such as anamnesis and diagnosis within the framework of casework, ideally in a concrete way and with appropriate methodological awareness. It would be conceivable, for example, to subject the results of an introductory anamnesis and diagnosis to subsequent legal monitoring.
Are there scientific concepts or legal requirements for this methodological challenge in your country? Or do you tend to leave the meaningful linking of different case perspectives to the professional actors? What seems to make sense to you?
I am working on Abusive supervision as X value, Job stress as Y value and Work Family Conflict as a mediator and Procedural Justice as a moderator. While working on my data set in SPSS regression analysis shows a significant negative effect of moderator and my hypothesis is acceptable. But while cross validating with PROCESS it shows a different results and appears that moderation is insignificant. I am adding the results output of both SPSS and PROCESS for reference.
Could you please help how to interpret this?
Work-family conflict (WFC) results when work interferes with family time or space; or when family matters interfere with work. These WFC events can cause tension within family or at work. Can you suggest what theoretical lens (or theories or conceptual frameworks) can be used from sociology, organisational theory, family literature, feminist studies or psychology or conflict literature to study WFC?

I am planning to explore family resilience (Walsh) processes in separated high conflict families by interviewing parents and children, and is interested to know if anyone have any experience (or knowledge of literature) of exploring family resilience processes in (two household) families ?
I need surveys on family conflict and I need to get permission. Could someone help me out with this?
how to amend the validated questionnaire as per your own requirement and setting and then getting it validated. i am doing research on role of work family conflict on job efficiency in pilots
I recently looked at the literature on suicidality in preadolescence and early childhood. There is ample evidence that suicides and suicidal behavior occur in these populations though the suicide rate is low compared to adolescents. Joiner's IPPT has been applied to adolescent samples but not it seems to young children. Neither the theories of O'Connor ("Integrated Motivational-Volitional Model") or Klonsky and May ("Three Step") seem to have made any reference of applicability to non-adults. All three are psychological models that seem premised on the psychology and cognitive processes of mid-to-older adolescents and older individuals. Impulsiveness may play a somewhat larger role in very young children who may react or respond more quickly to triggers such as family conflict, arrive at suicide plans differently, and perhaps not ruminate on their plans in the same way as older individuals. On the other hand, very young children have been found to develop clear intent and seem exposed to experiences (e.g., abuse, violence) that may yield acquired capability for lethal self-harm. Thoughts?
I'm investigating empirically (mainly organizational pathologies and dysfunctional dynamics) issues related to the involvement of relatives by marriage in family firms
In study can we consider the work family conflict as an independent variable by controlling the antecedents of work family conflict? Thanks in advance.
I'm investigating the discrimination versus non family members within family firms. I need a tool in order to measure the nature and the strength of such behaviour
I'm looking for any information that argues both for and against the role of family income as it relates to student academic achievement
I was just curious, children are removed from a home when it is unsafe, when they have come to harm. I rarely, if ever hear of parents or caregivers facing actual criminal charges for the assault of a child and am I misinformed or is assaulting a child somehow inexplicably less of a crime than assaulting an adult?
Kindly help me with the literature supporting the findings between Work Family Conflict and different level of managerial staff in any organisation.
The intent of the quantitative study will be to collect evidence of validity for a newly modified version of an existing measure (Proclivity to Apologize Measure; PAM) to explore the application of apologizing in a parent-child relationship. This modified measure will be coined the Parental-PAM (P-PAM) for the purposes of this study and follow on research if it is applied. To collect the necessary evidence of validity, the P-PAM scores will be collected with the Self-Compassion Scale (convergent evidence of validity) and the Self-Monitoring Scale (discriminant evidence of validity).
Is there any relationship between work family conflict and emotional exhaustion at work place? If yes, how does one measure it?
A commonly noted factor causing BPD is reported to be environmental stress. How much of a contributor is stress from the patient's immediate family in initially triggering the onset of the disease, Until diagnosed and treated, would immediate family conflicts and tensions from reactions to the emerging behaviour symptoms further aggravate the patient's conditions ? Finally, can the patient's immediate family positively contribute to the diagnosis, treatment, recovery and rehabilitation phases.
I want to find evidence of the relationship.
I have worked in international conflict dispute areas focusing on two areas (1) international parental abduction and (2) peace processes/building. Both areas focus on the MENA region where I have worked for nearly 20 years. I have found more similarities between the two types of conflicts than any other with religion being not only central to the conflict - but their appears to be an inherited component of the dispute.
I am looking for some literature on role of family in development and maintainance of OCD. My main intention is to look for the mostly unacknowledged role that parents play in the development of OCD. Though the most acceptable and communicable fact about OCD is that it is biological in nature and it runs in families, and can be managed by ERP like behavioral techniques. In past few decades the emphasis has been on these areas mainly. But this has lead to neglecting the role that parenting can have in developing or maintaining ocd. Like communication patterns, expressed emotion, unrealistic discipling etc. can contribute to developing ocd. I haven't been able to find much literature about this issue. In an interview one can easily look for signs of faulty communication patterns that exist between the patient and one of the parent, like one can find in parents of ADHD and ODD children. Then why the whole focus of therapy restricts to ERP and management of patient only. Are we missing an important aspect of OCD?
Please share your views and provide some relevant literature.
I am trying to find a measuring scale for communication accommodation in families. I'd appreciate some help.
