I am conducting a research study on parenting styles and their relationship with Narcissism ,fomo ,and digital detox. Recently, I was in a workshop concerning sports nutrition, the person delivering the information stated that there is no proof that detox diet exists and is effective, her statement blew my mind, as she claimed that a body is able to detoxify its self naturally!, I was definitely against her statement, because if it was true then why there is a huge amount of cancer diagnosed patients, due to the chemicals or wrong diets or many other causes related to foods and medication, many studies have shown that customized detox diet plans are really effective, and in my clinic personally I have followed customized detox diet plans and the blood tests showed amazing improvements on all aspects, I need the aid in my statement and thoughts against her, any study, medical proof or so would be so helpful.

Besides the different diets that contain natural and good ingredients that help our bodies get rid of toxins. Eating organic foods helps reduce the amount of chemicals in the body. It is reported that the "juices diet" provides nutrients and antioxidants as well as vitamins, which the body needs to cleanse toxins. It also includes foods rich in fiber and water, which are used to remove toxins from the body, by increasing the frequency of urination and defecation.

Common measures of recovery (e.g. Assessment of Recovery Capital, Substance Use Recovery Evaluator, etc.) can present complications when being asked to residential treatment program clients. Any measures specific to recovery for clients enrolled in residential-based programs (detox, acute, long-term)?

First one must clarify what the residential “program” is intended to do. Detoxification not designed as a vehicle for entry into an actual treatment program is different from programs that seek to achieve remission. The goal of detoxification is to achieve physiological resolution of a medical issue. Logically, one goal might be to have the individual engage in a treatment program so as to go beyond the safe detoxificaiton.
In contrast, a “rehabilitation” treatment program goal would be achieving remission. Remission is clearly defined in the DSM-5 as absence of positive diagnostic criteria other than craving for a three or twelve month period for initial or sustained remission respectively. This would seem to be the basic outcome measure.
More complex concepts such as recovery capital and “recovery” typically involve more than remission. The problem with going beyond remission is that the various constructs may be beyond what the treatment program can deliver or be paid for. For example, it is beyond the scope of most addiction treatment programs to assist individuals in becoming employable, better spouses or parents, etc.

toxins in food products in general, are reduced significantly by soaking in fresh water. the water however needs to be changed and replaced with fresh one quite frequently (about 6 hours interval) for 48 hours.
Boiling is another means of detoxifying, but i haven't personally tried it.

Once Detox diets have gained tremendous attention, people used it as the miracle pill. It does seem to be more an empirical practice than an evidence-based nutritional intervention for weight loss. I found in the majority of published studies, researches that administered a toxic substance, not a diet for desintoxication in healthy subjects. In almost all cases of Detox diets, the subject is not poisoned or intoxicated for following such a diet.
What does the scientific studies shows? Is there a scientific base in this type of diet?
