The short answer is, NO. "Retaliation" and even "Hidden agendas" require the perpetrator to be known to the victim. "Covert" actions might cause some damages, but they wouldn't fulfill those requirements. Further, arson is usually limited in scope, and effective targets would not be easily compromised. Also, I know that we think that striking out in anger - especially when feeling helpless- might make us feel better or make some "statement". But the fact is that violence never delivers real solutions or stability.

-The papers look similar in terms of lay-out see for example

Review objetives and timelines of each team to ensure that all people is working towards the final outcome. If needed make adjustments as appropriate. Each team mush set realistic expectations, and ensure that all people involved understand them. Try to identify potential problems and conflicts. This will require to monitorIng the situations from the standpoint of the technical and non-technical teams. The Project Officer in coordination with the Technical and Non-technical Project Managers should meet regularly. Address any problem or conflicts as soon it is identified. Do not wait until the project is in jeopardy, therefore, Project managers and Project Officer shoud be train in conflict solutions. Finally, the use of technology to assess and monitor progress should be understood by everyone involved in the process, and when needed assigned staff to support the technical team to support them in their use when required to comply with administrative processes.

“Equation dooms the universe to chaos” (“Science Illustrated” – Issue #104, pp.80-81) states,
“A physicist would describe entropy as a measure of how much energy is spread between the molecules of a closed system (say, a gold ingot).”
And “… all molecules in the universe will, according to current theory, end up in one big lukewarm mess (in 10^26 years).”
The article illustrates this with the formula Δ S ≥ 0 (change of entropy is bigger than, or equal to, zero).
This is one possible formula. Another is Δ S = 0 (change of entropy equals zero). This alternative is possible because the universe may not be a closed system. In general, most physicists today have faith that a successful theory of Quantum Gravity will be found someday. Such a Theory of Everything would reconcile two theories that are in apparent conflict – our best explanation of the microscopic world (Quantum Mechanics) and the best description we have of gravity (General Relativity).
The molecules in a gold ingot are connected in what appears to be a closed system. Quantum Gravity might conceivably connect all the molecules existing in space-time … in the universe as well as every period of time. But the universe could not be considered a closed system if it’s literally infinite and eternal. Throughout history, and including the present, speculation that the cosmos is infinite and eternal has never gone away. Despite the claim that the universe is finite and began at a definite point in linear time, knowledge of its origin is uncertain (the James Webb Space Telescope could make even the most dedicated proponent of the Big Bang doubtful at some point). We all have our theories and convictions but I believe it’s best to never say our deepest convictions can’t be incorrect.
If the cosmos is not a closed system, the heat produced by each of its seemingly closed systems wouldn’t simply be wasted. The energy created by the entropic 2nd Law of Thermodynamics would be diverted into the 1st Law of Thermodynamics i.e. the total mass-energy in the universe would forever remain constant, with mass and energy being converted into one another. It might be said that although no component of the universe can display the perpetual motion of existing forever, it’s plausible to regard the entire universe (entirety of spacetime) as in perpetual motion.

It makes no sense to talk about a “perpetual motion machine” in the classical sense. Another thing is a free engine. But not at a primitive level - hydraulic turbines and so on - but at a fundamental level. In this case, a free engine means a non-equilibrium pumping of energy from a vacuum using some kind of analogue of “Maxwell’s demon”. But what kind of problems such pumping will cause in nature - depends on its scale.
As for heat death, it's just the opposite of a singularity. And as always, there is only one way out of two opposites: quantum fluctuation saves. This was clear even at the time of Planck's discovery.

When reading papers, I was confused about the relationship between Conflict Control and Inhibitory Control in psychology. From my perspective, Conflict Control conclude Inhibitory Control, and Inhibitory contorl have two components:

I have a question about running my experiment using the PROCESS macro in SPSS.
The experiment involves a 3x3 between-subject design. The first manipulation is the strategic context (converging goals, task conflict goals, and process conflict goals), and the second manipulation is CSR contracting (monetary, nonmonetary, and absence).
For each manipulation, two dummies were created.
-In the strategic manipulation, the first dummy has task conflict goals=1, and converging and process conflict goals=0; the second dummy has process conflict goals=1, and task conflict and converging goals=0.
-In the CSR contracting manipulation, the first dummy has monetary CSR contracting=1, and nonmonetary and absence CSR contracting=0; the second dummy has nonmonetary CSR contracting=1, and monetary and absence CSR contracting=0.
How can I get the output of all of my interactoins, especially the ones in bold given they do not have their ''own'' dummy?

While agreeing in overall terms with the answers, I would like to hihglight the decreasing EU´s role in international relations. Some thirty years ago the saying portrayed the EU as a "economic giant, political dwarf and military worm". Nowadays the economic weight is decreasing, the political stature has not become larger, and the military resources would merit the EU a smaller size than that of a worm.
One reason is BREXIT. Neither the British Armed Forces, nor UK economy, nor HM foreign service can no longer be counted as EU assets. BREXIT could have had a political positive impact on EU CFSP by reducing the variety of political views, but this has not been the case since the other two big players, Germany and France, are not at their height of bilateral relations, and the EU has invested a lot - may be too much - in its support to UKR, a policy that takes resources from other areas and has shifted the Russian Federation from a difficult partner to an outright non-belligerent enemy. This has been obviuos in Mali or Niger, where the EU has been driven out, along with the French, mainly because of the latters´ history, but not without the Russians gaining some advantage.
I mean that performing as a mediator you need to have some weight, and I see the EU´s one decreasing in economical and military areas, while the political one is still fragmented, although the diplomatic arm - the EEAS - is stronger than it was years ago.
The other resource you need to perform as a mediator is being acceptable to the parties, if not totally impartial with regard to the conflict. Is now the EU more acceptable to the parties than it was some twenty or thirty years ago? I do not think so. It is politically fragmented, more dependant on the US, particulary after the response to the Russian invasion of UKR.
All these highlights the parameters that characterized the EU when confronted with crisis outside its borders: heavy political and economic involvement when it is close and interest of member states are strong (see Kosovo, or even military involvement, see Bosnia) and blurred as the conflict is far away and the interest of member states are not clear, or conflicting with each other. So very little room to be an international actor that can influence behaviuors.

This solution has a disadvantage: it would mean the suicide of the current political class.
The solution is doable, as Moldova has demonstrated that it can transform into a European country at the level of governance, institutions, and everyday life, but officially it remains neutral.

This is the origin of injustice and the root of every form of evil. The correct equilibrium among the parts of the soul, which, in my opinion, are to be interpreted as authentic potencies, can be achieved only by developing the rational part. This development requires a thorough education in philosophy. Throughout my analysis I quote passages in which Plato points out the presence of bad instincts and, in general, of a morally difficult component in our soul. The kind of soul considered in my analysis is the embodied soul.

Hello. As part of my PhD I am doing a systematic literature review on goal conflict, within the systematic review I am including grey literature including unpublished papers, conference proceedings and any other items that contribute to the conceptualisation of goal conflict.
My focus is current intra-individual goal conflict, however would also be interested to receive any unpublished literature on inter-person and organisation goal conflict should the scope of my PhD change. We all know what All Mankind have been through for the last decades, of which the climate change, energy crisis, etc. have always been pains in the neck. They directly or indirectly caused the shortage, inflation, supply-chain disruptions, regional/global economic crisis, or even escalated conflicts. Now, here comes a promising solution! (I personally suppose such an incredible scientific breakthrough deserves multiple Nobel Prizes!)
Assuming this major scientific breakthrough is solid and safe. Here come more interesting questions that are perhaps worth our attention and discussion:
1. How long would it take for this scientific breakthrough to be transferred to engineering deployment and energy usage in our daily life? < 10 years, 10-30 years, 30 - 50 years, or > 50 years?
2. What could you think of the pros/cons of this breakthrough (e.g., would it help mitigate the climate change, poverty issues, and regional/global conflicts over energy and resources? ), and what should be first done before the deployment? Legislation, international treaties, environmental protection, and/or etc.?
3. How do you think this breakthrough will accelerate all mankind to the Type-I Civilization (according to Kardashev Scale) and become a Spaceborne Civilization/Species?
4. What would be your thoughts/ideas/advice/suggestions/opinions on this breakthrough and how it can better serve all mankind?

The previous comments well summarize some of the reasons the breakthrough doesn't indicate something that can address the climate problem. I listened Monday to Miles O'Brien, PBS's science expert, on the PBS News Hour discussing the fusion announcement. He ended a good description by saying an old physics joke was the statement:
"The actual practical use of Fusion Energy will take 20 years, and it always will !"
Unfortunately, I believe this is correct. When I came to Los Alamos in 1969 there was a magnetic confinement division called SYLLAC. There is now a related effort using a Tokamak machine in Europe, ITER, which is now about to go on line.
Several decades ago there was a LASER FUSION effort at LanL, smaller than NIF but a similar approach. The group leader of the group studying the theory involved was my best friend. This group was in one of my group's buildings. He told me they felt they had proved that the laser on a D-T pellet would not work in a practical energy production.

I would advise you to use corpus linguistic analysis.
You can create your own corpus in a text file and download Lancsbox (Lancaster university). With respect to the analysis, you can use the keyword technique to explore the major themes (topoi) in your corpora.
For example, you need to compile a corpus of texts from different sources (corpus of the daily mail on Syrian conflic + corpus of CNN on Syrian conflict) and so on.
The keyword technique will allow you to extract the major themes from each corpus you analyse via Lancsbox.

This is not a matter/dispute amenable to scientific solution the only method is to distribute the resource on the basis of the principle of justice (sometimes distributive and sometimes compensatory) and equity with recognition of the obligation to preserve the resource (water is the common heritage of mankind). So the dispute should be managed, if possible not resolved, using the instruments of international law.
