1. Choose a number of peer-reviewed research papers related to your intended research, from Google Scholar, RG, SSRN or similar credible websites, not from non-credible sources.
2. Read these research papers and check for the research gaps from within such research. You may find these gaps under the subtitle: Future Research or similar subtitles.
3. Ensure that such gaps are not already covered by recent research. That is, for the gap that you want to cover, read to the last current research in this regard to make sure that no other author(s) already conducted such research.
4. Technological advances in computing, emerging faster and faster microprocessors, more and more capacious and high-speed data storage disks, etc., are making it possible to process large data sets faster and more efficiently. In addition, numerous new applications of the aforementioned technologies are emerging in various sectors of the economy by combining these technologies in various configurations for new applications. I am thinking that traditional training ( teacher speaking) is not completely practical and most students cannot enhance their skills through courses at university because of that when they will graduate they will understand their knowledge is not related to what they learned. That's why nowadays, students are finding out e-learning and online courses are practical ways to increase their knowledge like the Coursera website in the field of their interest. Now I want to make a proposal for a Ph.D. that there is a gap between in level of courses at universities and learning by digital learning technology. if someone can give me some advice on how can I make a relationship with them in the field of management, I will really appreciate it.

2. Read these research papers and check for the research gaps from within such research. You may find these gaps under the subtitle, Future Research or similar subtitles.
3. Ensure that such gaps are not covered by recent research. That is, for the gap that you want to cover, read to the last current research in this regard to make sure that no other author(s) already conducted such research.
4. Topic: Conflict Management Styles in High School Students
Context: I am doing a research about conflict management styles among high school students (for now this is limited to one class of about 20 students).
I have already distributed a survey to identify their individual conflict management styles (by KW Thomas and RH Kilmann).
Then, I proceeded to group them according to the same style and assigned an interactive project for them to work on. As they were grouped according to the same conflict management style, it meant that many of them were not working with their usual group of friends and felt uncomfortable with adjusting to new teammates.
I would like to find an instrument or questionnaire to record their response of how they felt after the project working with people they do not usually work with.
Could anyone provide some academic resources/surveys to measure their opinion and experience working with new teammates?
(P.S. I am a beginner researcher. I have a Business Management background but I would love to delve into different topics that pertain to education as that is the field I am currently employed in. Thank you!)

I'm looking to analyse some data for my dissertation (Bachelor Business Management). So I found the following Journal Article : Doll, W.J. and Torkzadeh, G., 1998. Developing a multidimensional measure of system-use in an organizational context. Information & Management, 33(4), pp.171-185. Its a question that i have also pondered over. Fuzzy logic can finally allow machines and computers to follow same decision making processes like humans, but much more calculated. However, perhaps human beings are not yet ready to 'trust' the process of fuzzy logic. Perhaps also one may feel that the 'human emotion' component may lack in fuzzy logic. Business decisions are sometimes also based on emotions and intuition and not only figures and data. Perhaps as we transition to Industry 6.0, fuzzy logic will become more prominent in decision making.

Entropy measures were originally developed by Ludwig Boltzmann and Shannon in twodisciplines: statistical statistical physics and information theory.
In the last about fourth years, a whole array of complexity measures were developed that measure the observed system, make some distribution of measurable properties that are subsequently inserted into the well know Boltzmann or Shannon entropy measures.
This procedure helps to asses the state of the observed system even without being capable to observe its every single detail. How exactly is this done can be found in our paper on the prediction of Torsades de Pointes arrhythmia, all details of the procedure are explained there.
A very important note. Very probably your measures will be impossible to classify by humans. This leads to the application of AI and machine learning methods, which are described in the same paper.
The notion of entropy had been proven a very valuable way of classifying of the operational mode of systems. Definitely something that you would like to think about in your case.

I often hear from friends negative things about academia, its boring, not connected to reality etc. I have been on and off in academia for 25 years but for the most part I have been in the real world, running businesses and working as a business consultant. I can still feel that in academia there is at least in my field a theoretical knowledge but still people doesn't understand how the real world operates. After university I felt like I knew everything, I knew Kotler backwards and forwards and all the theories..it felt like any way but when I started my first business (during my university years) I felt like I had to relearn everything. This lack of connection to reality was a problem for me and it is something I hear a lot for other business people. "Academics know nothing! ",one friend said and he has a Phd! Perhaps this illustrates the problem?
I guess it is the same in many fields..academia is seen as dry and not connected to the real world. What can be done about this or can anything be done? How do you view your education in relation to your working life? Do you feel your education was relevant? For me...not so much. Later I started to teach and do research but I still have this feeling. How do you feel about academia and the real world? Is academia part of the world we live in or just some "other place"..your thoughts?

Reality is a holistic concept while academia is one of the partiality of the holistic reality. how can focusing a a small plant give you holistic view of a jungle for that one has to get out of the confinement of a plant and raise above the jungle to have a holistic view of the jungle. I often hear highly negative and degrading comments aimed towards academia from business leaders, some of which have themselves masters or Phd.
I think in the long run this is bad because it reduces the opportunities for academics and makes the transition between one field to another more difficult. I can my self admit to having a bias, meaning I would think twice before employing someone who has been in academia for an extended period of time.I realise this is something I need to work on, prejudice and generalisation is never good!. I think there are a lot of competent people in academia but in many ways academia has become a world of its own with little or no connection to the real world, making it more difficult to move from academia to for example a managerial role or consultancy, what works in theory doesn't always work in practice. Do you have any experiences from the vantage point of an academic? My experience is mainly from the other side, that of a business owner but it would be interesting to also hear the other side. Do you have any experiences? How can this gap between academia and "the world" be bridged or should it?How can we change the view of private businesses that academia is somehow a different world inhabited by some very odd creatures?
Also note that there is no intent of disrespect or hostility on my behalf towards academia or academics. I might have deep rooted issues with the current state of academia but many of my friends are academics. .

In general, I think he is absolutely right about the role of policymakers. Uniting academia and business should be a matter of long-term state policy.

I have been thinking a lot about the long term consequences of Covid 19 and the impact of the labour market. How long do you think the effects will last in for example the EU and the US? The Swedish tourism and hospitality business is for example in a state of freeze and I think all countries have sectors that suffers more than other. Management theory was for long dominated by Causation, (just think about Kotler, in other words Planning, Implementing and follow up.) a different theory that has gained momentum in the last years ( Even if it was first launched in 2001 by Saras D Sarasvathy) is the theory of effectuation that is means driven instead of ends driven. I studied those theories quite extensively but found that when it comes to effectuation there is still no consensus, in other words the theory is not yet mature, something that is in my view a bit odd since the theory is 20 years old just about. Why do you think it has taken such a long time for this theory to mature? my second question. What is the relevance of Kotlers Marketing Management today? Still relevant or? Your thoughts?

Both causation (Kotler) and effectuation (Sarasvathy) are very relevant, when it comes to understand marketing management. Advancing research into cognitive biases of managerial marketing process requires a better behavioral understanding of bounded rationality and intuitive reasoning.
In this sense, marketing is much more a (open loop) process than a (closed loop) system, in terms of behavioral interplay between prospective client and offered product in all the bazaars of life.

From my readings the concepts of reliability, validity and generalizability in modern social science is regarded as the scientific holy trinity but there are some who argue that applying it to qualitative research is not always a 'good fit'.
Do all business and management research projects should be required to produce reliable, valid and generalisable findings?
I believe it is a yes but I'm not sure how to back it up.
