Dear Researchers.
I hope 2021 has been a good research year for you.
2022 is almost here.
Is anyone interested in collaborating on any of the broad topics below in 2022?
1. Consumer Behavior
2. Information and Communication technologies
3. Business Management
4. Marketing
5. Psychology
6. Health and Environment
I am looking for papers about how external drivers, internal enablers, and performance measurement have already enabled the Integrated Management of sustainability within and across business functions. I am particularly interested in environmental, social, and governance performance as constructs for more sustainable business practices. Thank you in advance for any help with this question.
Topic: Conflict Management Styles in High School Students
Context: I am doing a research about conflict management styles among high school students (for now this is limited to one class of about 20 students).
I have already distributed a survey to identify their individual conflict management styles (by KW Thomas and RH Kilmann).
Then, I proceeded to group them according to the same style and assigned an interactive project for them to work on. As they were grouped according to the same conflict management style, it meant that many of them were not working with their usual group of friends and felt uncomfortable with adjusting to new teammates.
I would like to find an instrument or questionnaire to record their response of how they felt after the project working with people they do not usually work with.
Could anyone provide some academic resources/surveys to measure their opinion and experience working with new teammates?
(P.S. I am a beginner researcher. I have a Business Management background but I would love to delve into different topics that pertain to education as that is the field I am currently employed in. Thank you!)
Hi
I'm looking to analyse some data for my dissertation (Bachelor Business Management). So I found the following Journal Article : Doll, W.J. and Torkzadeh, G., 1998. Developing a multidimensional measure of system-use in an organizational context. Information & Management, 33(4), pp.171-185. There are 3 Main Functions and 5 Components in the system use constructed by Doll. There are 30 questions and all are using a 5 Likert Scale (Strongly Disagree -Strongly Agree)
And I'm looking to find out which one of the 5 components has the biggest perceived impact by managers?
I'm not sure what sort of analysis I should be doing in order to get those results.
my title thesis (Studying the relationship between inspirational leadership and employee performance and its reflection on the quality of education)

Dear Research Gate member,
I really appreciate your valuable time to answer a few questions about Balanced Scorecard BSC for academic purposes to design a business management platform using the BSC as the basis for an integrated system of tools. Your answers will be important to develop the study for a MBA dissertation. It will not take longer than 5 minutes.

I'm looking for an interesting research topic or topics surrounding business management. Preferentially, any suggestions which have a focus on healthcare or renewable energy as these are interests of mine, but suggestions surrounding any discipline would be appreciated.
For some time now, scholars of economics and business management have been trying to channel their concerns into resolving the serious problems that social, economic, and business systems are posing as a result of the uncertainty that is characteristic of our times. Thus, a good number of proposals are emerging which, in different ways, converge to give a new treatment, both to old problems and to new ones.
To both old problems and those emerging from the complex web of economic-financial relations.
Despite this, however, their use in management decision-making has not become widespread.
I am introducing a new multivariate CCC (Cumulative Count of Conforming) Chart or Geometric Chart for high quality processes and I need to calculate my chart’s Average Run Length (ARL) but I do not find a formula to compute it.
Is there anyone to help me?
Any kind of articles in petrochemical management, Petrochemical industry organizations, business management and Marketing of petrochemicals would be helpful.
Dear experts,
I'm an undergraduate student in Business Management, I am confused about choosing a topic for my thesis so can you give me some ideas?
According to (Rigby & Bilodeau, 2018) five key trends emerged from Bain & Company's 2017 survey, in which respondents felt that today's business leaders must trust and empower employees, not command and control them; and that culture is at least as important as strategy for business success. In addition, supply chain capabilities are increasingly vital to our industry's success. Likewise, digital disruption and software solutions are rapidly changing the rules of competition. Today, there is a wide and varied range of business management tools, of which it is interesting to know the most widely used.
I am looking for people interested in conducting research on social media with the possibility of publishing on Wos. I'm open for suggestions
Been awhile in here. Does anyone have a good reference for chi-square independent test using SPSS? Specifically an article from a Business/ Management/ Marketing Journal.
Dear researchers:
I hold a master's degree in Business Management (Strategic Entrepreneurship, Strategic Management) from Damascus University with a grade of (91) and I plan to study my doctorate abroad, whether in the Middle East or other countries. Can you please inform me about the countries in which it is possible to study and the expected fees for each university, and if any of you works in that or can help me find a university to study in, I will be grateful to him.
Best Regards,
I need to find the theories for this topic
Business management (and operations) has many intertwined aspects, which constantly interact with each other, raising the complexity of it, as a 'system'. Modelling a complex system is difficult due to dependencies and adaptive behaviour. However, such complex 'systems' self-re-organise and become sustainable. A close-related concept of chaos indicates that a change in the initial conditions can bring out randomness, even with deterministic laws. Though the chaos and complexity theories are interrelated and multi-disciplinary in nature, very less application found in business management research.
The onset of Covid-19 pandemic has presented a unique social context for chaos and complexity.
Fellow scholars of this RG are requested to highlight:
a) recent trends in research in this area (how chaos is measured, analysed?).
b) recent applications of chaos and complexity theories in the field of business management
c) modelling techniques, related to chaos and complexity theories

Please contact me in private messages to discuss further details if interested.
The algorithmic management of today comes in the form of AI-based solutions but it still is an algorithm with a binary system intact. What do you think of its usage and its novelty? How can we use AI-based evaluation to measure the efficiency of someone's work?
I am doing multiple Case Studies using template analysis and looking for other examples of it? Hopefully within business management or tourism fields.

Measuring the quality of education provided by the higher education institutes is very important to enhance the effectiveness learning. There many organisations working on different tools and techniques to measure the level of quality of education. The expected answer will help to explore current practices and to develop new measures or techniques.
Any conference on Business/ Management in late 2020/ early 2021?
Possibly around South/ South East Asia?
In managing the technology of advanced processing and analysis of large information sets in Big Data database systems, there is no hope but it is already used in practice. Big Data database systems are used in many fields of analysis of large data sets and support business management processes, among others by supporting processes carried out in Business Intelligence framework.
Do you agree with me on the above matter?
In the context of the above issues, the following question is valid:
Do Big Data technologies support business management processes?
In what direction will the process of research and application of Big Data technology, which support business management processes, progress?
Please reply
Best wishes
I often hear from friends negative things about academia, its boring, not connected to reality etc. I have been on and off in academia for 25 years but for the most part I have been in the real world, running businesses and working as a business consultant. I can still feel that in academia there is at least in my field a theoretical knowledge but still people doesn't understand how the real world operates. After university I felt like I knew everything, I knew Kotler backwards and forwards and all the theories..it felt like any way but when I started my first business (during my university years) I felt like I had to relearn everything. This lack of connection to reality was a problem for me and it is something I hear a lot for other business people. "Academics know nothing! ",one friend said and he has a Phd! Perhaps this illustrates the problem?
I guess it is the same in many fields..academia is seen as dry and not connected to the real world. What can be done about this or can anything be done? How do you view your education in relation to your working life? Do you feel your education was relevant? For me...not so much. Later I started to teach and do research but I still have this feeling. How do you feel about academia and the real world? Is academia part of the world we live in or just some "other place"..your thoughts?
Best wishes Henrik
Dear friends
I hope you had a nice summer. I sometimes get the comment that academia is not relevant from business colleagues and clients in my consultancy business. For me academia has always been something I have been careful not to associate my self too much with, even if I love to teach. My question is that if there is a way to bridge this gap or conflict between academics and practitioners? I often hear highly negative and degrading comments aimed towards academia from business leaders, some of which have themselves masters or Phd.
I think in the long run this is bad because it reduces the opportunities for academics and makes the transition between one field to another more difficult. I can my self admit to having a bias, meaning I would think twice before employing someone who has been in academia for an extended period of time.I realise this is something I need to work on, prejudice and generalisation is never good!. I think there are a lot of competent people in academia but in many ways academia has become a world of its own with little or no connection to the real world, making it more difficult to move from academia to for example a managerial role or consultancy, what works in theory doesn't always work in practice. Do you have any experiences from the vantage point of an academic? My experience is mainly from the other side, that of a business owner but it would be interesting to also hear the other side. Do you have any experiences? How can this gap between academia and "the world" be bridged or should it?How can we change the view of private businesses that academia is somehow a different world inhabited by some very odd creatures?
Also note that there is no intent of disrespect or hostility on my behalf towards academia or academics. I might have deep rooted issues with the current state of academia but many of my friends are academics. .
I wish you all a wonderful day
I have been thinking a lot about the long term consequences of Covid 19 and the impact of the labour market. How long do you think the effects will last in for example the EU and the US? The Swedish tourism and hospitality business is for example in a state of freeze and I think all countries have sectors that suffers more than other. In general do you think the repercussions of the Pandemic will be with us for a long time or do you think the worst will soon be behind us? I know that there are a lots of factors that can influence but what are your thoughts?
Management theory was for long dominated by Causation, (just think about Kotler, in other words Planning, Implementing and follow up.) a different theory that has gained momentum in the last years ( Even if it was first launched in 2001 by Saras D Sarasvathy) is the theory of effectuation that is means driven instead of ends driven. I studied those theories quite extensively but found that when it comes to effectuation there is still no consensus, in other words the theory is not yet mature, something that is in my view a bit odd since the theory is 20 years old just about. Why do you think it has taken such a long time for this theory to mature? my second question. What is the relevance of Kotlers Marketing Management today? Still relevant or? Your thoughts?
I am also unable to upload notable journal The Business & Management Review (Print) with ISSN 2047-2854 (Print) ISSN 2047-2862 (ONLINE) Indexing with: ProQuest, Ebsco Host, EconBiz, Universal Impact, ZBW and peer reviewed journal. Same journal is listed with different ISSN number.
Research Gate should allow the same manually.
Dear Prof de Vaus,
I am a colleague that researches in the field of Business Management. While preparing to teach an MSc module in business methods, I have come across your excellent book "Research Design in Social Research", and I plan to make extensive use of it in my module.
I wonder whether you would be willing to share teaching materials related to that book, especially slides, and especially relating to Part I. Needless to say, full recognition of your authorship would be given.
Thanking you a lot in advance

As a discipline is mixed between Business Management and Lab Medicine, it covers several aspects that are dealing with challenges to combat such pandemics.
I'm struggling to answer the following questions and would greatly appreciate any guidance or pointers.
Discuss the concepts of reliability, validity and generalizability are considered important within business and management research.
From my readings the concepts of reliability, validity and generalizability in modern social science is regarded as the scientific holy trinity but there are some who argue that applying it to qualitative research is not always a 'good fit'.
Do all business and management research projects should be required to produce reliable, valid and generalisable findings?
I believe it is a yes but I'm not sure how to back it up.
Thanks in advance.

Can someone share a journal focused on business turnaround, firm survival and change management?
When developing machine learning projects is expected that the investment creates value for an organization. How can we measure the ROI of an investment in a machine learning project? For example, when we measure the dropout, should we consider the total cost of dropout and estimate gains, reducing it, for example, 5% to justify the investment and measure somehow the ROI?
Is there any approach to consider to estimate the ROI? Research addressing this the investment in the context of machine learning and the expected value generation to an organization?

Hello,
I am working on the different use and perception of different terms for describing a procedure / activity to solve a problem from the point of view of different research areas; these terms are 'method', 'tool', 'strategy', 'approach', 'guideline', 'framework', 'methodology', and similar. For this purpose, I plan to compare the above terms, their definition and usage from the point of view of product development research with those of business management research as well as human-computer interaction/ computer sciences. My hypotheses are that they 1) name similar activities differently and 2) in some cases use different definitions for the same terms. The definitions I am looking for are usually published in standard works and textbooks. However, I find it difficult to find these for the two disciplines that are unfamilar to me, business administration and computer science. Can someone help me?
This research work is on Business management practices.
1] The Dependent Variable is classified by me as Dichotomous. It is SUCCESSFUL vs UNSUCCESSFUL companies. This classification is based on various Financial Performance KPIs and I propose an arbitrary cut-off to decide the division between the dichotomy. Strictly this could be a continuous measure but real-world market practice would accept a dichotomous classification.
2] There are 6 Independent Variables. These are Management Behaviours and I have measured these 6 labelled Behaviours on a Likert scale and computed Mean scores.
3] To test for relationships I propose to (a) use descriptive statistics and compare means to make fundamental inferences and (b) Compare means via an Independent Samples T-Test, where any 'Sig(2-tailed) outcome that is <0.05 is considered significant.
Is the above valid? Any other recommended test that may be appropriate? Thanks.
I am looking your kind help to find out the solution of my problem which is the subject question. How to choose a master thesis topic under "Business Management" studies? and which is the easiest and useful research method?
- I mean what are the essentials to select the topic, like as leadership, teamwork, decision making and secondly how to narrow down the topic to be specific.
- Which is the easiest and useful research method to conduct the organizational management research.
Thanks,
Looking for your valuable feedback.

The literature that I have reviewed thus far asserts that businesses that manage their working capital effectively are more sustainable. I am interested in the 'Negative' relationship indicated in your project goal.
Also, please clarify the domain you are focusing on...is it a specific industry? Or a size of business ?
Look forward to your response
How many organisations would you suggest involving as cases to get reliable and valid results? My research implies quan-qual-quan stages, qual is prioritied, stands for intervention (7-13 participants each), observation and interview. Responses from someone within the areas of HRM/HRD are specifically welcome.
Can anyone help me to understand this topic better, or has high-quality articles which explain the application of the Bhagavad Gita on Leadership?
Thank you!
I am struggling to find any good summer/fall/winter research school on mixed methods research (for business and management, the area of broader social sciences research - also OK). Ideally, it should be within UK and EU institutions/universities. Do you have any ideas/suggestions? Thank you!

Could you please advise me on -
1. What are the best UGC recognized journals that are available for publication of research papers/articles under Business Administration and Business Management?
2. Are there any best open access journals available?
3. Do we necessarily have to use statistics while writing papers? If not, how to write papers without the help of stats.
Pls pardon my ignorance in the above areas, and I would be grateful if you enlighten me in this, please.
In the era of information globalization, the technological revolution known as Industry 4.0 and the growing importance of implementation to business models of the principles of sustainable development, modern market management systems for operating business entities are being improved.
The current technological revolution described as Industry 4.0 is motivated by the development of the following technologies of computerized, advanced information processing:
Big Data database technologies, cloud computing, machine learning, Internet of Things, artificial intelligence, Business Intelligence and other advanced data mining technologies.
In the context of the development of contemporary national knowledge-based economies and the development of information services made available via the Internet, the importance of innovative startups is growing, in which new categories of economic goods are created based on the application of innovative technological solutions.
In the second half of the twentieth century, various new conceptual elements developed (Benchmarking, Outsourcing, Reengineering, SMART, Just in Time, Poka Yoke, Kanban, Kaizen, Brain-storming, ...) and new business management systems (Business Continuity Management, Lean Management, Knowledge Management, Time Management, Risk Management, Total Quality Management, Virtual Organization Management ...), thanks to which the production processes, logistics, marketing, personnel management were improved, new participative management styles were developed, etc.
Therefore, please answer the following question:
What modern concepts of business management are adequate for currently developing innovative technology companies?
Please reply
Best wishes

Is the synergy and interdependence between the development of analytics conducted in Business Intelligence applications and the processing of data in the cloud in the Big Data database systems increased?
Currently, the amount of information collected in Big Data database systems is growing very fast.
Many companies that have their own Big Data database systems containing huge amounts of information downloaded from the Internet carry out analyzes of these data, the results of which are used in business management.
Many companies use these resources to manage their business. When processing information in the cloud, ie information collected in Big Data systems, the sentiment analysis uses the results of the analytical work carried out in this way for the strategic management of the company.
In view of the above, I am asking you: Is the synergy and interdependence between the development of analytics conducted in Business Intelligence applications and data processing in the cloud in the Big Data database systems increasing?
Please reply.
I invite you to the discussion
Dear Colleagues and Friends from RG
The issues of the use of information contained in Big Data database systems for the purposes of conducting Business Intelligence analyzes are described in the publications:
I invite you to discussion and cooperation.

A few days ago I asked for your collaboration to tell me about business successes. As I think it is also important to know the business failures to learn what should not be done either in terms of business management or product marketing. Thank you very much for your collaboration.
I congratulate you for exelent "International Journal of Engineering Business Management"
Has anyone got any primary data that can be shared for use by research students in business and management? They need to work with primary data in their qualitative data class. Anything on organisational learning or teams would be great
I'm studying "digital business management" and looking for a topic for my master thesis in the field of "innovation-marketing" and the effects of it on the success of innovations.
I tend to reach out when I'm fairly clueless about something, this time no exception. Some background first though.
I research in Thailand and Australia, Thailand never being easy. Business managers tend not to be helpful. Why say yes and create risk, so possible loss of face (Thailand is a heavily face-based culture) when you can ignore or say "No"? Sometimes, though, the situation doesn't pan out that way at all. Currently, I have a number of business managers happy to help, saying "Yes". But there's an issue - it's low (green) season. There's a real paucity of clients at cookery schools for me to interview.
I sat reading cookery school reviews. One in particular had 169 reviews on Google. I kept seeing the words fun, funny and laugh. Over and over - suggesting people attend for fun. Equally I saw little comment around gaining cooking skills, very little. So, had I found my answer as to why people attend touristic cooking classes? Do I have to interview people at all? Why not just text-mine the reviews?
In fact, over the last day or two things have picked up, interviews nearly finished. But I'm still fascinated by text-mining, if only to capture a school's reviews for comparison against questionnaire responses.
My two questions are:
1. Do readers find text-mining a viable approach to inferentially discovering consumer motivations in the way I've said?
2. How acceptable do readers feel text-mining to be in academia, as opposed to marketing? I'm not sure I've even seen text-mining used, as referenced in an academic article. An exception is a Russian friend who is a big user, which might suggest that there are national differences on this?
can you share me your valuable experience with publication to decide which a good journal choose to publish
I need to review a study in which the authors have applied an OLS regression to test the influence of variable A on variable B. From a methodological point of view, everything seems to be fine. However, the authors have formulated a research hypothesis (not null hypothesis!) that goes like this: "Variable A has no influence on variable B."
In my research field (business and management science), I have actually never come across a hypothesis that assumes no relationship between two variables. Therefore, my question is whether this is a valid formulation of a research hypothesis for OLS regression?
Hello, I am Karen, I am starting my Phd in Business and Management sciences, and I am interested in do research about social entrepreneurship, I started with entrepreneurial ecosystems, but I would like to know If could be a good idea to put the both topics together, if not, I would be more aligned to the Social Entrepreneurship, if someone can help me to find gaps in this area, I would be so grateful, and I want to apply it for Mexico, but I am struggling about to which path follow, so if someone better informed about this topic can help me I would appreciate it.
i think that perceived fit can be enhanced by doing well
