First, the diet should not be rate-limiting in terms of energy, protein, essential vitamins and minerals. There should be a control group and groups that receive doubling doses of the product (1x, 2x, 4x, 8x, 16x). Dosages should be expressed on a 100% dry matter basis, so if the product has 15% moisture, multiply the product weight by 0.85 to convert it to a dry matter basis. Dosage should be incorporated into the feed as a fixed percentage of the feed dry matter do avoid changes in intake as animals grow and consume more feed. It could be more challenging to detect differences in chickens because of their high efficiency and rapid growth naturally. Finally, YOU MUST do a statistical power test to know if you have enough observations to detect differences that you expect to see. Good luck and keep us informed.

As far as i have understood, i can say that ADME is a concept learn't to understand the drug and its metabolites movement through out the body compartments (blood, liver, kidney, protein-bound, etc) and this concept being a universal concept for all the categories of drugs let it be allopathy, ayurvedic or homeopathic remains same.  This means, ADME can be determined for any category of drug similar to any allopathic drug provided the measurement tools say LC-MS, NMR-MS, LC-NMR-MS, etc are precisely accurate even in NM or sub-NM concentration to measure the least amount of drug or metabolite in any compartment. The ADME is so universal that not only drugs, even food material can be evaluated for their metabolites. Hope my answer satisfy your doubts.

It is a bit difficult to define ojas as per modern methodology. Ojas is balam = strength. Body complexion, voice etc. are the outcome of the ojas. You must be knowing 7 dhatus (tissues) in Ayurveda. The essence of these dhatus is ojas (if am not wrong). It can't be measurable. Understanding ojas is as good as understanding tridoshas.
You may get reference from Caraka Samhita, Cikitsa Sthana (6) - 8.24. Under this reference, the ojas is described as 'deha saara' (essence of body). At 6.15.3, ojas is defined as - ओजः हृदयस्थं सर्वधातुसाररूपम् । (sentence taken from ChakrapaaNIaym on Caraka Samhita) This expression attests my earlier statement. Here, the seat of ojas is also defined - which is the heart.
By the way, I am not an Ayurvedic doctor. But a Sanskrit faculty working with B.A.M.S./M.D.(Ayu.) students for their PhD degrees.
