Questions related to Autonomous Robot
In your opinion, will autonomous robots equipped with generative artificial intelligence technology, embedded intelligent chatbots, able to perform many activities that only humans have done so far be more of a help or a threat to humans?
How should robots equipped with generative artificial intelligence technology performing the role of household help, etc. be constructed and programmed to make it safe for humans?
If mass-produced autonomously functioning, programmable robots, highly intelligent androids equipped with generative artificial intelligence technology and programmed to provide assistance to humans appear in the near future, what kind of work would you hire your personal robot helper to do?
In some countries, such as Japan, there have already been mass-produced robots for years that act as domestic helpers mainly for the elderly. Perhaps in the not too distant future, mass-produced autonomously functioning, programmable robots, including highly intelligent androids equipped with generative artificial intelligence technology, will also be on sale in many other countries. Such robots can act as domestic help, child or elderly caregivers. With the rapidly advancing technological progress being realized in the field of robotics, artificial intelligence and other technologies typical of the current fourth technological revolution, Industry 4.0/5.0 technologies will soon be mass-produced humanoid, highly intelligent, highly autonomous robots performing various household and other jobs. Such robots equipped with generative artificial intelligence technology can have a number of alternative algorithms built in to perform specific functions of their choice and can be programmable. Thus, after purchasing a kind of helper robot for household and/or other work, the robot owner will be able to determine the scope and types of functions for which he will give the robot authorization to perform them. The programming of the purchased robot will consist of selecting from the available options of various functions only those that will correspond to specific activities and tasks possible for the robot to perform. Also, the level of autonomy within a certain possible range from to will be able to be defined by the robot owner as part of the programming. In addition to typical household chores, providing assistance around the house involving, for example, cleaning, watering flowers, feeding pets, walking pets, such robots can act as controllers analyzing the operation of various household appliances and systems, including smart home systems, heating, ventilation, lighting, air conditioning, etc. Besides, the robots can act as a night watchman in the situation of the owner's departure from home, can act as a bodyguard for home assets, and can call for help in an unusual situation when the owner needs urgent assistance from public services, including the police, security company, health service, etc. Such intelligent robots can also have a permanent connection to the Internet and, according to the owner's command, can quickly search for something on the Internet, print it out or send it to a smartphone belonging to the owner of a particular robot.

Assuming that in the future - as a result of the rapid technological progress that is currently taking place and the competition of leading technology companies developing AI technologies - general artificial intelligence (AGI) will be created, will it mainly involve new opportunities or rather new threats for humanity? What is your opinion on this issue?
Perhaps in the future - as a result of the rapid technological advances currently taking place and the rivalry of leading technology companies developing AI technologies - a general artificial intelligence (AGI) will emerge. At present, there are unresolved deliberations on the question of new opportunities and threats that may occur as a result of the construction and development of general artificial intelligence in the future. The rapid technological progress currently taking place in the field of generative artificial intelligence in connection with the already high level of competition among technology companies developing these technologies may lead to the emergence of a super artificial intelligence, a strong general artificial intelligence that can achieve the capabilities of self-development, self-improvement and perhaps also autonomy, independence from humans. This kind of scenario may lead to a situation where this kind of strong, super AI or general artificial intelligence is out of human control. Perhaps this kind of strong, super, general artificial intelligence will be able, as a result of self-improvement, to reach a state that can be called artificial consciousness. On the one hand, new possibilities can be associated with the emergence of this kind of strong, super, general artificial intelligence, including perhaps new possibilities for solving the key problems of the development of human civilization. However, on the other hand, one should not forget about the potential dangers if this kind of strong, super, general artificial intelligence in its autonomous development and self-improvement independent of man were to get completely out of the control of man. Probably, whether this will involve mainly new opportunities or rather new dangers for mankind will mainly be determined by how man will direct this development of AI technology while he still has control over this development.
I described the key issues of opportunities and threats to the development of artificial intelligence technology in my article below:

What are the possibilities for integrating an intelligent chatbot into web-based video conferencing platforms used to date for remote conferences, symposia, training, webinars and remote education conducted over the Internet?
During the SARS-CoV-2 (Covid-19) coronavirus pandemic, due to quarantine periods implemented in many countries, restrictions on the use of physical retail outlets, cultural services, various public places and government-imposed lockdowns of business entities operating in selected, mainly service sectors of the economy, the use of web-based videoconferencing platforms increased significantly. In addition to this, the periodic transfer of education to a remote form conducted via online video conferencing platforms has also increased the scale of ICT use in education processes. On the other hand, since the end of 2022, in connection with the release of one of the first intelligent chatbots, i.e. ChatGPT, on the Internet by the company OpenAI, there has been an acceleration in the development of artificial intelligence applications in various fields of information Internet services and also in the implementation of generative artificial intelligence technology to various aspects of business activities conducted in companies and enterprises. The tools made available on the Internet by technology companies operating in the formula of intelligent language models have been taught to converse with Internet users, with people through the use of technologies modeled on the structure of the human neuron of artificial neural networks, deep learning using knowledge bases, databases that have accumulated large amounts of data and information downloaded from many websites. Nowadays, there are opportunities to combine the above-mentioned technologies so that new applications and/or functionalities of web-based video conferencing platforms can be obtained, which are enriched with tools based on generative artificial intelligence.
In view of the above, I address the following question to the esteemed community of scientists and researchers:
What are the possibilities of connecting an intelligent chatbot to web-based video conferencing platforms used so far for remote conferences, symposia, training, webinars and remote education conducted over the Internet?

Has the development of artificial intelligence, including especially the current and prospective development of generative artificial intelligence and general artificial intelligence technologies, entered a phase that can already be called an open Pandora's box?
In recent weeks, the media covering the issue of the prospects for the development of artificial intelligence technology have made disturbing news. Rival leading technology companies developing ICT, Internet and Industry 4.0/5.0 information technologies have entered the next phase of generative artificial intelligence and general artificial intelligence development. Generative artificial intelligence technologies already present mainly through the ChatGPT intelligent chatbot, which was made available on the Internet at the end of 2022, and new further variants of it are already being made openly available to Internet users. Citizen interest in Internet-accessible intelligent chatbots and other tools based on generative artificial intelligence technology is very high. When OpenAI made the first publicly available versions of ChatGPT available to Internet users in November 2022, the number of users of the platform with this offering grew faster than the previously reported increases in the number of users on social media sites in the corresponding first months of their online availability. Dominant in the markets of online information services, the most recognizable brands of technology companies compete in the development of artificial intelligence technology no longer only in the development of generative artificial intelligence, which, through deep learning and the use of artificial neural networks, is taught specific abilities to intelligently perform jobs, tasks, write texts, participate in discussions, generate photos, videos, draw graphics and carry out other outsourced tasks that were previously performed only by humans. Currently dominating the markets for online information services, major technology companies are also competing to build increasingly sophisticated AI solutions referred to as general artificial intelligence. From the analysis of futurological projections of the possibilities of development of constantly improved artificial intelligence, there is a risk that at some point this development will enter another developmental phase, which will consist in the fact that advanced general artificial intelligence systems will already create even more advanced general artificial intelligence systems on their own, which with their computing power and advanced processing of large data sets, processing of data on platforms using accumulated huge data sets and Big Data Analytics information will far surpass the analytical capabilities of the human brain, human intelligence and the holistic computing power of all neurons of the human nervous system. This kind of development phase, in which advanced general artificial intelligence systems will already create even more advanced general artificial intelligence systems on their own, could lead to a situation where this development is out of human control. In such a situation, the risks associated with the uncontrolled development of advanced general artificial intelligence systems could increase strongly. The levels of risk could be so high that it could be compared to the situation of various very serious threats and even armegeddon of human civilization depicted in catastrophic futurological projections of the development of artificial intelligence out of human control depicted in many science fiction films. The catastrophic and/or bordering on horror movie images depicted in science fiction films suggest the potential future risks of a kind of arms race already taking place between the globally largest technology companies developing generative artificial intelligence and general artificial intelligence technologies. If this kind of development of generative artificial intelligence and general artificial intelligence technologies has entered this phase and there is no longer any possibility of stopping this development, then perhaps this development can already be called an open Pandora's box of artificial intelligence development.
In view of the above, I address the following question to the esteemed community of scientists and researchers:
Has the development of artificial intelligence, including, above all, the current and prospective development of generative artificial intelligence and general artificial intelligence technologies, entered a phase that can already be called an open Pandora's box of artificial intelligence development?

Has the rivalry among leading technology companies in perfecting generative artificial intelligence technology already entered a path of no return and could inevitably lead to the creation of a super general artificial intelligence that will achieve the ability to self-improve, develop and may escape human control in this development? And if so, what risks could be associated with such a scenario of AI technology development?
The rivalry between IT giants, leading technology companies in perfecting generative artificial intelligence technology may have already entered a path of no return. On the other hand, there are increasing comments in the media about where this rivalry may lead, and whether this rivalry has already entered a path of no return. Even these aforementioned IT giants made attempts in the spring of 2023 to slow down this not-quite-tame development, but unfortunately failed. As a result, regulators are now expected to step in with the goal of sanctioning this development with regulations concerning, for example, the issue of including copyright in creative processes during which artificial intelligence takes on the role of creator. In the growing number of considerations regarding the use of artificial intelligence technology in various applications, in more and more spheres of human functioning, professional work and so on. there are questions about the dangers of this and attempts to powder the subject by suggesting that, after all, the development of AI technology and its applications cannot escape human control, that AI is unlikely to replace humans only assist in many jobs, that the vision of disaster known from the "Terminator" saga of science fiction films will not materialize, that human-like intelligent androids will never become fully autonomous, and so on. Or perhaps in this way, man is subconsciously trying to escape from other kinds of considerations, in which, for example, it could soon turn out that the technological advances taking place under Industry 5.0 driven by the entry of leading technology companies into a path of competition, which first will create a highly advanced super general artificial intelligence, which could turn out to be smarter than man, will be able to self-improve without man and develop in a direction that man will not even be able to imagine let alone predict beforehand. Perhaps the greatest fear of the consequences of the unbridled development of AI applications stems from the fact that the result of this development could be something that will intellectually surpass humans. Sometimes this kind of situation has already been referred to as an attempt to create one's own God (not an idol, just God). In these considerations, we repeatedly come to the conclusion that what is most fascinating can also generate the greatest dangers.
In view of the above, I address the following question to the esteemed community of scientists and researchers:
Has the competition among leading technology companies to perfect generative artificial intelligence technology already entered a path of no return and may inevitably lead to the creation of a super general artificial intelligence that will reach the capacity of self-improvement, development and may escape human control in this development? Could a thinking generative artificial intelligence independently make decisions contrary to human expectations which could lead to the annihilation of humanity?
Recently, the technology of generative artificial intelligence, which is taught certain activities, skills previously performed only by humans, has been developing rapidly. In the process of learning, artificial neural network technologies built on the likeness of human neurons are used, as well as deep learning technology. In this way, intelligent chatbots are created, which can converse with people in such a way that it can be increasingly difficult to diagnose, to distinguish whether we are talking to a human or an intelligent chatbot, a tool. Chatbots are taught to converse with the involvement of digital big data and information, and the process of conversation, including answering questions and executing specific commands is perfected through guided conversations. Besides, tools available on the Internet based on generative artificial intelligence are also able to create graphics, photos and videos according to given commands. Intelligent systems are also being created that specialize in solving specific tasks and are becoming more and more helpful to humans in solving increasingly complex problems. The number of new applications for specially created tools equipped with generative artificial intelligence is growing rapidly. However, on the other hand, there are not only positive aspects associated with the development of artificial intelligence. There are more and more examples of negative applications of artificial intelligence, through which, for example, fake news is created in social media, disinformation is generated on the Internet. There are emerging possibilities for the use of artificial intelligence in cybercrime and in deliberately shaping the general social awareness of Internet users on specific topics. In addition, for several decades there have been films in the genre of science fiction, in which futuristic visions of the future were presented, in which intelligent robots, equipped with artificial intelligence autonomous cyborgs (e.g. Terminator) or artificial intelligence systems managing the flight of a ship of an interplanetary manned mission (e.g. 2001 Space Odyssey), artificial intelligence systems and intelligent robots transformed humanity from a source of electricity to their needs (e.g. Matrix trilogy) and thus instead of helping people, they rebelled against humanity. This topic has become topical again. There are attempts to create autonomous human cyborgs equipped with artificial intelligence systems, robots able to converse with humans and carry out certain commands. Research work is being undertaken to create something that will imitate human consciousness, or what is referred to as artificial consciousness, as part of the improvement of generative artificial intelligence systems. There are many indications that humans are striving to create a thinking generative artificial intelligence. It cannot be ruled out that such a machine could independently make decisions contrary to human expectations which could lead to the annihilation of mankind. In view of the above, in the conditions of dynamic development of generative artificial intelligence technology, considerations about the potential dangers to humanity that may arise in the future from the development of generative artificial intelligence technology have once again returned to relevance.
In view of the above, I address the following question to the esteemed community of scientists and researchers:

The fourth technological revolution currently underway is characterised by rapidly advancing ICT information technologies and Industry 4.0, including but not limited to machine learning, deep learning, artificial intelligence, ... what's next? Intelligent thinking autonomous robots?
The fourth technological revolution currently underway is characterised by rapidly advancing ICT information technologies and Industry 4.0, including but not limited to technologies learning machines, deep learning, artificial intelligence. Machine learning, machine learning, machine self-learning or machine learning systems are all synonymous terms relating to the field of artificial intelligence with a particular focus on algorithms that can improve themselves, improving automatically through the action of an experience factor within exposure to large data sets. Algorithms operating within the framework of machine learning build a mathematical model of data processing from sample data, called a learning set, in order to make predictions or decisions without being programmed explicitely by a human to do so. Machine learning algorithms are used in a wide variety of applications, such as spam protection, i.e. filtering internet messages for unwanted correspondence, or image recognition, where it is difficult or infeasible to develop conventional algorithms to perform the needed tasks. Deep learning is a kind of subcategory of machine learning, which involves the creation of deep neural networks, i.e. networks with multiple levels of neurons. Deep learning techniques are designed to improve, among other things, automatic speech processing, image recognition and natural language processing. The structure of deep neural networks consists of multiple layers of artificial neurons. Simple neural networks can be designed manually so that a specific layer detects specific features and performs specific data processing, while learning consists of setting appropriate weights, significance levels, value system for components of specific issues defined on the basis of processing and learning from large amounts of data. In large neural networks, the deep learning process is automated and self-contained to a certain extent. In this situation, the network is not designed to detect specific features, but detects them on the basis of the processing of appropriately labelled data sets. Both such datasets and the operation of neural networks themselves should be prepared by specialists, but the features are already detected by the programme itself. Therefore, large amounts of data can be processed and the network can automatically learn higher-level feature representations, which means that they can detect complex patterns in the input data. In view of the above, deep learning systems are built on Big Data Analytics platforms built in such a way that the deep learning process is performed on a sufficiently large amount of data. Artificial intelligence, denoted by the acronym AI (artificial intelligence), is respectively the 'intelligent', multi-criteria, advanced, automated processing of complex, large amounts of data carried out in a way that alludes to certain characteristics of human intelligence exhibited by thought processes. As such, it is the intelligence exhibited by artificial devices, including certain advanced ICT and Industry 4.0 information technology systems and devices equipped with these technological solutions. The concept of artificial intelligence is contrasted with the concept of natural intelligence, i.e. that which pertains to humans. In view of the above, artificial intelligence thus has two basic meanings. On the one hand, it is a hypothetical intelligence realised through a technical rather than a natural process. On the other hand, it is the name of a technology and a research field of computer science and cognitive science that also draws on the achievements of psychology, neurology, mathematics and philosophy. In computer science and cognitive science, artificial intelligence also refers to the creation of models and programmes that simulate at least partially intelligent behaviour. Artificial intelligence is also considered in the field of philosophy, within which a theory is developed concerning the philosophy of artificial intelligence. In addition, artificial intelligence is also a subject of interest in the social sciences. The main task of research and development work on the development of artificial intelligence technology and its new applications is the construction of machines and computer programmes capable of performing selected functions analogously to those performed by the human mind functioning with the human senses, including processes that do not lend themselves to numerical algorithmisation. Such problems are sometimes referred to as AI-difficult and include such processes as decision-making in the absence of all data, analysis and synthesis of natural languages, logical reasoning also referred to as rational reasoning, automatic proof of assertions, computer logic games e.g. chess, intelligent robots, expert and diagnostic systems, among others. Artificial intelligence can be developed and improved by integrating it with the areas of machine learning, fuzzy logic, computer vision, evolutionary computing, neural networks, robotics and artificial life. Artificial intelligence (AI) technologies have been developing rapidly in recent years, which is determined by its combination with other Industry 4.0 technologies, the use of microprocessors, digital machines and computing devices characterised by their ever-increasing capacity for multi-criteria processing of ever-increasing amounts of data, and the emergence of new fields of application. Recently, the development of artificial intelligence has become a topic of discussion in various media due to the open-access, automated and AI-enabled solution ChatGPT, with which Internet users can have a kind of conversation. The solution is based and learns from a collection of large amounts of data extracted in 2021 from specific data and information resources on the Internet. The development of artificial intelligence applications is so rapid that it is ahead of the process of adapting regulations to the situation. The new applications being developed do not always generate exclusively positive impacts. These potentially negative effects include the potential for the generation of disinformation on the Internet, information crafted using artificial intelligence, not in line with the facts and disseminated on social media sites. This raises a number of questions regarding the development of artificial intelligence and its new applications, the possibilities that will arise in the future under the next generation of artificial intelligence, the possibility of teaching artificial intelligence to think, i.e. to realise artificial thought processes in a manner analogous or similar to the thought processes realised in the human mind.
In view of the above, I address the following question to the esteemed community of scientists and researchers:

Will the black scenarios of the futurological visions known from scence fiction films, in which autonomous robots equipped with artificial intelligence will be able to reproduce and self-improve, come true in the future?
The theoretical basis for the concept of the essence of artificial intelligence has been developing since the 1960s. Since then, black scenarios of futurological visions, in which autonomous robots equipped with artificial intelligence will be able to reproduce themselves, self-improve, become independent of human control and become a threat to humans, have been created in literature and film of the genre of scence fiction. Nowadays, in the situation of dynamic development of artificial intelligence and robotics technologies, the above-mentioned considerations return to topicality.
In view of the above, I address the following question to the esteemed community of scientists and researchers:
Will the black scenarios of futurological visions known from scence fiction films, in which autonomous robots equipped with artificial intelligence will be able to reproduce and self-improve, come true in the future?

As a part of my MSc thesis, I have evaluated the ability of GP to evolve successful control program that can help an autonomous robot to aviod static obstacles through its navigation toward a target position. However, the obstacle avoidance behavior has become a classical problem that does not have a wide interest in the field of automatic programming. Therefore, I am looking for a new challenge that includes training a robot to do more significant navigation tasks based on general solutions gradually evolved be GP.
Can autonomous robots equipped with artificial intelligence that process significantly larger amounts of data and information faster than humans pose a significant threat to humans?
Will autonomous robots equipped with artificial intelligence, which process much larger amounts of data and information faster than humans, only be useful, friendly and helpful to humans, or could they also be a significant threat?
Robots equipped with artificial intelligence are being built to create a new kind of useful, friendly and helpful machine for humans. Already, the latest generations of microprocessors with which computers, laptops and smartphones are equipped have high computing and processing capacities that exceed those of the human brain. When new generations of artificial intelligence are implemented in computers with high computing and multi-criteria data processing powers, intelligent systems are obtained that can process large amounts of data much more quickly and with a high level of objectivity and rationality in comparison to what is referred to as natural human intelligence. AI systems are already being developed that process much larger volumes of data and information faster than humans. If such artificial intelligence systems and autonomous robots equipped with this technology were to escape human control due to certain errors, a new kind of serious threat to humans could arise.
In view of the above, I address the following question to the esteemed community of scientists and researchers:

What are the differences in taxation of companies and employees vis-à-vis analogous entities in which all employed workers have been replaced by artificial intelligence?
How does the system of taxation of income generated by business entities and their employees differ from analogous companies, businesses, financial institutions, etc., in which all employed workers have been replaced by artificial intelligence?
In a situation where in many service companies and many manufacturing companies, as part of the so-called cost optimisation and profitability improvement, a significant part, the majority of the employed workers or the entire workforce will be replaced by artificial intelligence technology, the tax revenue going to the state budget from income taxes of the previously employed workers and the amounts from para-taxes, contributions to the social security system and others will significantly decrease if the tax system is not applied modified and adapted to the fourth technological revolution currently taking place. In addition, a long-standing process of change in the demographic structure of society, known as ageing, is taking place in developed countries. This means a successive decrease in the number of people in many productive years against people who have already reached retirement age. This will further weaken the state's public finance system in the years to come. If, in the future, the state is to ensure convenient provision of public goods and services for the next generations of citizens, the social security system, the participatory pension system, etc. are to function effectively, the necessary changes, including in the area of fiscal policy, should already be introduced. However, the issue of shaping socio-economic policy, including fiscal policy, social policy, provision of public goods by the state to citizens, etc., may be a problem mainly in the short term (a few months) or medium term (up to a few years) instead of the long term (at least a few decades of time).
In view of the above, I address the following question to the esteemed community of scientists and researchers:
How does the system of taxation of the income generated by economic entities and the employees employed in these entities differ from the analogous companies, enterprises, financial institutions, etc., in which all employed employees have been replaced by artificial intelligence?

I have placed IMU MPU2950 on an AMR (Autonomous Mobile Robot) with a metallic body. Even though I am using Madgewick Filter to smooth out the data, it is not enough and confuses the localization algorithm in the AMR. Is there any way to dampen the vibrations with physical additions?
Hi there,
I am looking at the technical reasons why torque control is better then position control for biped, quadruped...
If the research gate community can provide insights I iwll greatly appreciate

Suppose I have and HD map, which have many segments (line, arc, spiral, …), that describe the road of the vehicle.
Now, How can I plot or get the coordinates along the spiral given the all following data:
- start coordinate of the spiral,
- the heading (orientation) of the spiral,
- the start and end of the curvature for the spiral, and
- the length of the spiral.
At present, the economies of developed countries are entering the period of the fourth technological revolution known as Industry 4.0.
The previous three technological revolutions:
1. The industrial revolution of the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries, determined mainly by the industrial application of the invention of a steam engine.
2. Electricity era of the late nineteenth century and early twentieth century.
3. The IT revolution of the second half of the twentieth century determined by computerization, computerization, the widespread use of the Internet and the beginning of the development of robotization.
The current fourth technological revolution, known as Industry 4.0, is motivated by the development of the following factors:
- artificial intelligence,
- cloud computing,
- machine learning,
- Big Data database technologies,
- Internet of Things.
In every previous technological revolution, the same question was repeated many times. However, economies developed and changed structurally and labor markets returned to balance. Periodically, short-term economic crises appeared, but their negative economic effects, such as falling income and rising unemployment, were quickly reduced by active state intervention.
It seems to me that self-malting and robotization, IT, artificial intelligence, learning machines will change the labor markets, but this does not necessarily mean a large increase in unemployment. New professions, occupations, specialties in these areas of knowledge and technology will be created. Someone, after all, these machines, robots, etc. must design, create, test, control, and implement into production processes.
Therefore, I am asking you:
Will the technological development based on self-mulization, robotization, IT development, artificial intelligence, machine learning increase unemployment in the future?
Please reply. I invite you to the discussion

I want to implement artificial intelligence in robots with my students. Soon we will have Arduino chips, so the hardware will be Arduino-based. I need ideas for prospective applications of AI with robots. It could be in any AI area - machine learning, computer vision, path searching and so on. Any suggestions?
Considering a four wheel skid steering heavy robot of one ton, I need to know the minimum torque needed to rotate itself from standstill.
Are the calculous very easy or there is a paper that is exhaustively focused on this issue?
In my opinion, the wheels torque should be greater than (i.e. win) the static friction considering that all four wheels are not rotating. Indeed the robot should move normal to its longitudinal axe which in our case coincides with the longitudinal axes of the wheels.
Other than the impact of an agricultural environment on the static friction, what is the impact of the wheel orientation?
What is the impact of the center of gravity in case it does not coincide with the center of area?
Thank you very much
Stefano
I have a very limited knowledge on control systems. Now my research field is on quadcopters and I want a comprehensive book in this field that can fill all my knowledge gaps on quadcopter sensor fusion techniques and also modeling, system identification and control methods of a quad-copter.
Dear helper,
I am currently busy with a project for autonomous driving of tractor semi-trailers with of axle hitching. I want to design an input-output linearizing feedback for a non-linear MIMO system. I am getting stuck on how to do so. I want to know how I can decouple my system, and how to model it in Simulink to let my tractor semi-trailer track a desired output. I hope you can help me with this. My system looks as follows:
x2dot = v*(cos(gamma)*cos(theta2) - (L1b/L1)*tan(delta)*sin(gamma)*cos(theta2))
y2dot = v*(cos(gamma)*sin(theta2) - (L1b/L1)*tan(delta)*sin(gamma)*sin(theta2))
theta2dot = (v/L2)*((L1b/L1)*tan(delta)*cos(gamma) + sin(gamma))
gammadot = v*((1/L1) - (L1b/(L1*L2))*cos(gamma))*tan(delta)) - (v/L1)*sin(gamma)
The inputs are the velocity u1 = v, and the steering angle u2 = delta. For the output I choose the articulation angle y1 = gamma between the tractor, and semi-trailer. To take an additional output to have the amount of inputs, and outputs equal I suppose to take as an additional output y2 = y. To give an idea on how the system looks like, I have added a picture of my system. My system is written for the coordinates of the rear axle of the semi-trailer, and has therefroe, the indice 2.
I know how to treat certain problems for non linear MIMO systems but I don't understand how to do this case due to the 2 inputs influencing each other. The system is not well defined if one of the inputs equals zero.
Kind regards,
Emile Biever

Will the development of artificial intelligence, e-learning, Internet of Things and other information technologies increase the scope of automation and standardization of didactic processes, which could result in the replacement of a teacher by robots?
Unfortunately, there is a danger that due to the development of artificial intelligence, e-learning, learning machines, the Internet of Things, etc. technology can replace the teacher in the future. However, this will not happen in the next few years, but this scenario can not be excluded in the perspective of several decades. In addition, the work of the teacher is a creative work, a social education, etc. Currently, it is assumed that artificial intelligence will not be able to fully replace a human teacher, because it is now assumed that you can not teach artistry machine, social sensitivity, emotional intelligence, empathy, etc.
Do you agree with me on the above matter?
In the context of the above issues, the following question is valid:
Will the development of artificial intelligence, e-learning, Internet of Things and other information technologies increase the scope of automation and standardization of didactic processes, which could result in the replacement of a teacher by robots?

Are there futurological estimates when mass autonomous humanoid robots will be manufactured in series?
When mass-produced autonomous humanoid robots will be produced in series, that is, futurological visions known from such science fiction novels and movies as "I. Robot", "AI Artificial Intelligence", "Ex Machina", "Chappie", "Bicentennial Man", "Star Wars", "Star Trek", etc.?

Can someone provide me with information on how to control a physical robot arm with V-Rep?
I am new to robotics and I want to link my V-Rep simulation to a real KUKA arm
- path planning robot simulation .
- 3D map environment model / robot workspace.
- mobile robot will autonomously navigate.
As the Guest Editor of the special issue of the flagship publication of IEEE Computer Society, IEEE Computer, on "The Next Wave of Machine Learning Applications," I invite submissions of path-breaking uses of ML. Details and CFP below.
Keywords: Deep Learning, Artificial Intelligence, Big Data, Biotech, Quantum Computing, Social Innovation
Please also let me know if you wish to serve as a reviewer for this special issue.
In "Simultaneous Stabilization and Tracking of Nonholonomic Mobile Robots: A Lyapunov-Based Approach", the authors stated that the nonholonomy of mobile robots allows control of the system with less control inputs. A mobile robot is underactuated in nature, and it's often controlled with less number of control inputs than the system's degree of freedom (if dynamic is ignored). How does the nonholonomy of the system helps with that?
In autonomous exploration considering the pose uncertainty, is there any way to predict before hand the pose uncertainty the robot will have if it takes a particular action. This is to plan motion to increase the localizability while making exploration decision.
Regarding unmanned Autonomous Vehicle (UAV) and specially drones:
With (deep) reinforcement learning, a common network can be trained to directly map state to actuator command making any predefined control structure obsolete for training.
There are now some relevant results in term of supervised DNN capable of providing a position with respect to a given image and thus the drone is able to navigate both outdoor and indoor.
Now if we are able to memorize places (at least relevant features) and create a topological map respecting the temporal sequence (temporality) and probably add some basic movement information like “move straight, turn left, turn right...”. I am aware that the task is very complex because you should be able to recognize the place whatever the point of view is and under different meteorological conditions (ideally). Of course such map should be able to achieve loop closure.
It opens the door to a completely new architecture for unmanned autonomous vehicle because you will not need to know (very) accurately your position anymore (SLAM will not be longer required).
You will have loosely coupled deep neural nets working together (I think this is also a quite interesting subject of research in the future).
Indeed the movements of the UAV will be computed with respect of the perceived environment and the UAV will be able to plan a route based on its « topological/semantic » map. It will use the memory to know where it is and where to go and thus plan movements accordingly (for instance: I have to move straight – a coffee shop on my right, then a stop sign, then move to the left...).
It will get closer to what mammals (at least the one studied in laboratories) are doing.
I would like to know if some people out there have heard about research going on on such coupling between place recognition and topological/semantic map?
Thanks
In some activities it is possible and robots are already produced, which replace people in specific repetitive activities.
However, will robots replace people in future in all activities and functions?
In my opinion, it is not possible for this type of futurological vision to be realized.
People are afraid of such a scenario of the future development of civilization.
The expression of these fears is the predominance of negative futurological visions known from fictional literature and films that such a development of civilization in which autonomous robots replace people in almost all activities, difficult work, production processes and achieve a high level of artificial intelligence generates serious threats to humanity.
Please answer
Best wishes

Scientists and conceptual artist have long predicted technology will “invade” the body. It already has, with implants like pacemakers. Others will follow to enhance muscular or neural functions, and probably with AI.
This “merger” will also happen more broadly when AI becomes part of daily life. AI will be tailored to human needs as much as possible, but sometime humans will have to meet AI halfway. AI systems using voice recognition will ask us to articulate clearly.
AI systems rely on “hardware” (whether robots, autonomous cars, etc.), and all such systems will have to be treated within the boundaries in which they can operate. Human will have to learn what these boundaries are.
It will gradually appear to people that AI has a “soul” of its own that humans can learn to appreciate. The first indication came from Japan. The owners of the robotic pet Aibo gave their pets Buddhist burial rites when their Aibo reached the end of its serviceable life.
I'm doing a paper on mobile robots for my school, it's a litterature review on the existing technologies, some history and future perspective, and I need some articles to read, I was hoping to get some help finding good ones,
Thank you in advance,
I am working on localization problem of a mobile robot. I have an arrangement of two stepper motors, which can rotate a board in horizontal and vertical direction. I want to calculate the angle through which the stepper motors turns and then send this information to the robot.
Given the recent interest in creating swarms of robotic flies that carry explosives and contain face recognition circuitry (as described in Bot Flies, The Economist, Dec 16, 2017) will a time come when the enablers of such killing machines will be made to account? We all know that machines will never—and I emphasize never—be able to make decisions without the assistance of humans so expect arguments such as “the machine did it” to fail in a court law. Can you imagine a world where people like Robert Oppenheimer (the developer of the atomic bomb) are hauled off to prison and later put to death for the creation of lethal autonomous weaponry?
Just now I was aware of being aware of saying the words, mentally, “I am thinking about a caterpillar”.
NB Clearly this is not at all the same as actually thinking about a caterpillar!
I'm working on MATLAB fuzzy based mobile robot navigation system. I need a mobile robot simulator so that I can test my system on it.
I am working on a project which can detect human body poses. After getting a binary mask on human body i have to detect and track torso. I came to know particle filter is a good method for it.I want to implement it but I don't know how.
I already built one using UIUC car dataset but it contains a little number of positive and negative samples (500 for each)?I need a trained classifier based on Large dataset.
I am working in my master thesis and my case is "ROBOTIC ARM WITH REAL TIME IMAGE PROCESSING".
Can you suggest me any case study where can i use a robotic arm to detect defective products in production.
One of the main problems to spread panels in the desert is that, you should hire someone to clean them otherwise you will lose a lot of your efficiency.
On average, panels lost a little less than 0.05 percent of their overall efficiency per day.
Few days ago, a Tokyo-based company has a solution. Sinfonia Technology announced late last month that it has developed a robot with camera and sensors that can move autonomously and clean solar panels at large-scale solar power plants. Sinfonia's robot has a distinction in being "autonomous" in that, rather than tethered to rails, the robot is able to move from panel to panel, to tackle the panels' dirt and debris. The robot is equipped with a scrub brush, wiper and detergent; and also sprinkles water stored in its tank. The robot can work in the dark; it has LEDs, having wavelengths in the infrared range.
Hi, we know technology helps humans to enhance lifestyle more effectively. Somehow these technologies make human jobless, especially in developing countries as well.
What is your view, should we need to set parameters for limited use of technology, so we manage our society more effectively?
We have designed a autonomous robotic systems for agricultural pesticides applications. Currently I am acquiring the sensors data through wired lines. I want to switch this system in wireless mode. Meaning is that, I want to operate in wireless mode, i.e. want to acquire multisensors data through wireless. Can anybody suggest me suitable wireless module for the mentioned purposes.
Thanking you!
Suppose we want to initialize the position and heading of a mobile robot, which uses AMCL and a map for localization.
Is it feasible (or wise) to initialize/constrain the pose using localization algorithms on RSSI/TOF distance information?
Are there better methods to do it?
Imagine you want to design X modules which you would use to create robots. how many modules would you develop and each ones? The aim is to be able to set up a maximal number of application robots from this modules.
Suppose that I have a database of people's faces and I have a camera that acquire an image of a face. I'm interested in algorithms that can provide me, in a small amount of time, the correspondence of this face to the one in the database, if exists.
I would like to run the supposed algorithm in a computer with limited processing capabilities, autonomously, i.e. without connection to another computer or network (example autonomous robot).
I'm able to use different cameras, namely RGB, depth and thermal.
Thank you very much!
Considering that a robot with an Ackerman steering, the front wheels are oriented to a different angle, I was wondering what is the best approach for estimating the robot's pose. Differential rotation you calculate the robot's position by measuring the amount of ticks for each wheel but does the same apply for Ackerman?
Is it possible to control the motors rotation from fpga. If yes, can you please provide material regarding implementing a line following robot on fpga using veriog language.
I used a CM8870 DTMF decoder for my project and I want to simulate my code in proteus simulator.
I wonder are they some formal models, implementations, suggestions, ideas about how do these flows interact and how they are processed using working memory. So, according to me, the question deals with LTM representations, the representations of the sensory input and their comparison/rejection during let's say "understanding", perhaps with rearguards of learning too.
I want help in quadcopter programming
How can I programming the 4 motors by using arduino to control the sped and the direction
and when it show up I want just slow dawn the speed with out effect the direction
*note my motors are DC not stepper
thanks a lot
Does anyone have any experience on the development of a domestic robot's ability to locate itself in an indoor environment?
For your answer, take into account the possibility of having a camera on the robot (image recognition may be a way to go?).
I believe it may be necessary to take multiple inputs. For example, an image recognition algorithm, together with a "dead-reckoning" method, such as estimating diplacement as a function of the revolution of the robot's wheels could be used to estimate the position of the robot.
All feedback would be greatly appreciated, as I am just starting with this investigation.
Thank you very much!
I am trying to design an industrial robot but I am stuck. I don't know how to calculate the link lengths.
How do you measure machine intelligence and what level of cognitive processing do machines really need to behave autonomously. Is human level cognition required in ordinary machines or just those working remotely?
Multi functionality which can be manually operated or autonomous
This may sound dumb, but I have been finding it very hard to catch this . For example in a Odometry - GPS fusion., how exactly do I calculate for Q and R what data do I need to collect from both data sources.
In recent years, many robot-centric SLAM approaches have been proposed by the research community. Several authors claim that this approach allows to achieve algorithms with better consistency and convergence properties.
I am just looking for a summary or a review or similar, in which the autonomy degree of robots is classified or divided.
A first study text for a newcomer to the field.
