Hello everyone
Please, based on the research and experience you have gained, please answer the following question.
"What are the best modalities for low and high -both- physiological responses to resistance training in rats?"
Thank you
Relevant answer
Answer
There is no "best" modality. You have limited options. Weighted wheel running is probably your best option. In this setup, you use a rodent running wheel and resistance is provided by hanging a strap with weight over the wheel. The degree of resistance is controlled by the amount of weight hung from the strap. The more the weight, the greater the friction applied by the strap to the wheel. An alternative would be to use steep uphill running on a rodent treadmill. The exercise in both of these setups is not pure resistance training. They also provide an aerobic training component. Training effects will be primarily to the plantarflexor and knee extensor muscle groups.

Kicking ability represents the most important soccer-specific skill, since it is used not only in passes, crosses, clearances, and also to score goals.
The ability to kick equally with both the preferred and non-preferred leg leads to an advantage for soccer players, since it increases the number of scoring opportunities. In modern football, this ability is becoming even more important as there is less space and time for players to decide what we do with the ball. In fact, there is positive relationship between player’s salary and ability to use two feet in professional soccer.
However, ball velocity is significantly lower after a kick with the non-preferred leg in comparison to the preferred one.
It’s known that two-footedness can be developed, to some extent, by training. But it would be possible to develop two-footed players in soccer club academys? Why don't we teach our soccer players to use both feet equally well?
Relevant answer
Answer
It is not only possible but totally necessary: that the soccer player have high bilateral motor skills allows their technical executions to be better. This improvement in sports performance leads to a decrease in the incidence of injuries since by optimizing bilateral movement patterns we are avoiding positions or gestures prone to injury.

Hello,
I want to study the effect of endurance training on mitochondrial function in aged Wistar rats. I am looking for a treadmill protocol like this: 4weeks duration, 5 sessions per week or less(less is better), each session no longer than 30 minutes and the intensity doesn't exceed 15m/min since the rats are aged(24 and 26 months. I am looking for a paper with a similar training protocol so I don't design one from scratch. If anyone knows such research I would be grateful if you acknowledge me.
Thank you

During the animal training behavior test like Eight arm radial maze, I used to wear gloves during animal training some of my friends suggest that don't use gloves, if you gloves the animal doesn't feel your body temperature and it will take time to get habituate animals and the glove's smell also will affect the behavior.
Please suggest me which is best way to train the animal with or without using gloves
Relevant answer
Answer
Animals can feel your temperature even wearing gloves. Gloves are meant to protect you from the animals and also the animals from you. You should just use them. Your friends assume that accustoming to your body temperature will make the assay easier. Plus the whole body smells so much to them that the surface of your hands is just negligible.
The best way to habituate the animals would be by handling (few minutes would be fine) every day, for few days, at the same time the assay will be performed.
