Answer to the Question:
Subject: Exploring the True Sustainability Wheel Theory
Dear Lucio,
Thank you for bringing attention to your intriguing 2015 article on the True Sustainability Wheel Theory. This concept seems to offer a structured approach to unifying sustainability efforts across economic, social, and environmental dimensions.
While I have not yet had the opportunity to read your article in detail, its focus on step-by-step mapping towards sustainability is highly relevant in the face of growing global challenges. I’m particularly interested in how the framework defines "true sustainability" and how it addresses the balance between development needs and resource constraints.
If possible, could you share insights into the practical applications of the True Sustainability Wheel? Specifically:
  1. How does the theory integrate dynamic changes in environmental policies or economic priorities?
  2. Are there examples of its implementation in real-world scenarios?
  3. What are the measurable outcomes for sustainable development under this model?
I look forward to exploring your article further and discussing its applications.

Firstly, to criminally prosecute with full force those who profit financially from land clearing. I even suggest inaugurating a specific prison for crimes against the environment, to increase its public significance.
Then, promote an economic fund for reforestation, charged exclusively with replanting with native species. Funding could come from fines for environmental crimes, among other sources. All this is incompatible with the fiscal opacity resulting from the current transnational financial system and the ‘tax havens’ (which correspond to ‘earthly hells’).
Technically it is not particularly challenging, as you can see from the effort that filmmaker Sebastiao Salgado and his partner have made in the Rio Doce basib, in Brazil.

The expression "Je t'aime, moi non plus: I love you, neither do I", popularized by the song by Serge Gainsbourg and Jane Birkin in 1969, refers to tumultuous and contradictory relationships that can be strong, intense, see passionate, but, at the same time, imbued with uncertainties, doubts, and ambiguities that underlie real difficulties likely to make the relations complex unstable or even unhealthy. So "Je t'aime moi non plus" can somehow be applied to describe the Europe-Africa relations steeped in a common history that is not always brilliant and, in another register, to Europe-USA-ASIA relations where the Ego, the Culture, and the Will to Power sometimes lead to conflicting competitive situations.
It is therefore a very open subject on which I would like us to rub our points of view, ideas, and visions in order to promote serene and useful exchanges.

Your phrase, "USA<-->Europe<-->Africa : Je t'aime, moi non plus!" suggests a complicated relationship between these continents, with a mix of love and indifference.
It could be interpreted as:
- A commentary on the complex historical, cultural, and political ties between these regions
- A reflection of the push-and-pull dynamics of globalization, trade, and migration
- A nod to the contradictions of international relations, where cooperation and conflict coexist

The geopolitical landscape in Africa is undergoing a significant shift as China and Russia assertively expand their economic, political, and military influence across the continent. This new "Great Game" in Africa represents a departure from the traditional Western dominance, led by the United States, that has defined the region's dynamics for decades.
China's ambitious Belt and Road Initiative and its emphasis on non-interference have resonated with many African nations seeking alternative sources of investment and development assistance. Meanwhile, Russia has been reasserting its presence through arms deals, energy partnerships, and the deployment of private military contractors like the Wagner Group.
In contrast, the United States' influence in Africa is perceived as waning, with accusations of neglect and a transactional approach that prioritizes security concerns over long-term economic and development partnerships. This vacuum has allowed China and Russia to position themselves as more pragmatic and less ideological partners.
The interplay of these competing powers in Africa has profound implications for the region's future, shaping dynamics in areas such as resource exploitation, infrastructure development, security partnerships, and the promotion of democratic values. As the new "Great Game" unfolds, African nations must navigate these complex alliances and rivalries to advance their national interests while maintaining sovereignty and stability.

  2. Improved Quality of Education: The initiatives have resulted in improved quality of education, with a focus on research and innovation, and the use of technology in teaching and learning.
  3. Enhanced Economic Competitiveness: The initiatives have contributed to the country's economic competitiveness by producing graduates with the skills and knowledge required by the labor market.
Challenges:
  1. Funding Constraints: The initiatives face funding constraints, which can limit their scope and impact.
  2. Infrastructure Challenges: The initiatives require significant investments in infrastructure, including the development of modern facilities and technology.
  3. Capacity Building: The initiatives require significant capacity building efforts, including the training of faculty and staff to effectively implement the initiatives.
Conclusion: The Philippines' higher education development initiatives have the potential to improve the quality and accessibility of higher education, enhance economic competitiveness, and contribute to the country's economic growth and development. Is sustainable development or social capital essential for Africa's socioeconomic transformation? Despite widespread preaching of sustainable development by institutions like the United Nations and NGOs, tangible progress has been lacking, akin to an overdue pregnancy—quantitative rather than qualitative. Is Africa still in need of this gospel or what it requires now not just sustainable development but robust social capital to achieve lasting socioeconomic transformation. My thinking. What is yours.
Relevant answer
Answer
A sustainable community is one where the people can meet their needs using their time and skills, and the energy, resources, and ecological funtions of the land that they are co-stewards of, in perpetuity. All forms of ‘sustainable’ require the community context. Acheiving sustainable development does not automatically lead to a sustainable community. I would suggest the whole world eequires sustainabilty, rather than sustainable development.

Example: Africa is a label for a continent. It has no overall leader or rulership, it is devided into countries. But now we are being told Africa is trying to sue Israel. But who is Africa? If "they" win, who gets the reward and how will it be fairly distributed around the continent of Africa? Or will only some people claim to have been successful in taking a country to court, and use it to show off against other African nations? I thought in order for a continent to take a country to courts, it would have to gather the signatures of every leader of each African country? If not, how does it work?
On the other side, there's Israel, the whole country's label. But within Israel are some people doing some things whilst others are not. Why should some people of Isreal get a reputation for genocide when it was just some other people using the Isreal label? How would others do trade and judge them in the future? It's not precise enough.
I don't think it is a legal move for a continent to sue a country and I'm struggling to see how this process is allowed, who personally will gain a reward from this, who will lose what etc?
It seems like an unfair trial with unfair uses of public legal systems both locally and globally. All because of labeling again. Like "them/they" issues.
Can anyone explain this process or direct me to further information I could read?

Keri Mobbs First and foremost, one most significant aspect you should comprehend when it comes to seeking justice in accordance with international law in relation to your question is that a continent cannot physically sue or take any country to court. In order words, in terms of international law (UN Charter and ICJ Statutes), its is only possible if there are regional organizations such as; African Union or the European Union can mediate disputes or enforce treaties or agreements in line with the legal mechanisms comprises of the member states. In this note, base on your question there is no legal case at hand because such case never exist.

MORE ABOUT THE SLAVERY AND SLAVE TRADE IN AFRICA
Relevant answer
Answer
First of all one tribe sold another tribe. So selling the other tribe was a guarantnee their own tribe will not end up in slavery. Second they probably got the same thing as from Europeans, i.e. trtinkets or nothing at all. And third, they were able to keep a position of power thanks to the support of the slave-buyers. And at times one tribe that were the victims of this slave commerce could or managed to take over and they became the tribe that sold the other tribe (the one that had been on top for some time) into slavery: this happened several times in the Mali empire long before the Europeans got into the picture. But the real question was what happened to the slaves. In the west they were transported to distant countries where they had to work for a pittance, including the Northern Africas countries long before they became Muslims. But in the east many had to be young males around 12 because they were very systematically castrated on their way to the mediterranean basin, very often flush with the abdomen. We estimate that half of them died of complications, blood loss, or infections.

Explain the Key Factors Influencing Prophetism African Christian Worship
Relevant answer
Answer
Worship and prophecy are different in many aspects of religion and faith. We worship to show thankfulness to God. We prophecy to tell the person or persons what God says. The worshiper gives praise, and glory to God. The prophet faces God to get a message. Then the prophet goes to face the person or persons to deliver the message/word from God. This is totally opposite of the priest that faces the people then goes to petition God on their behalf.
Unlike worship which is present, past, and future praises to God in different voices. Prophecy from God speaks one voice present, past, and future at the same time. Because God created time, he is sovereign over time. That is why some prophecies have been revealed (past), yet to be revealed (future), revealed now (present), and many are cyclical revealing itself time after time (past, present, and future at the same time in the same voice)
There are no key factors influencing prophecies from God. God influences. God is omni conscious (aware of all), omniscient (knows all), and omnipresent (everywhere at all times and all places). So what motivates God to communicate with man through prophecy? It is what God is; God is love. Just as a father loves a child. You are not going to let your child go to danger or his/her own hurt without a forewarning.
The prophet is judged by the prophecy. If the prophecy comes true it is from God. God is truth. If it (prophecy) does not come true, then it is a false prophesy from a false prophet.
Mar_13:22  For false Christs and false prophets shall rise, and shall shew signs and wonders, to seduce, if it were possible, even the elect.
Luk_6:26  Woe unto you, when all men shall speak well of you! for so did their fathers to the false prophets.
Therefore, if a prophet is popular, it is safe to consider that the prophet and prophecy are false. What is the message like from a true prophet delivering the word of God?
Heb_4:12  For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart..
Jesus stated the following regarding the believers who will and have prophesied the truth:
Mat 5:11  Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake.
Mat 5:12  Rejoice, and be exceeding glad: for great is your reward in heaven: for so persecuted they the prophets which were before you.

Although some might have discredited the idea of Pan-Africanism, there seems to be a sense in which it is still a need. Decolonisation as a process is not an end on itself but a step towards the end. To make sense of decolonisation for Africans there needs to be a way in which Africans show pride of their identity (self-love), and Pan-Africanism might be exactly that way. In fact, before Africans talk about globalisation there should a concern as to what do Africans enter the global world with... this discussion will continue in my paper to be presented in this attached conference for which the deadline for abstract submission has been extended to the 8th January 2024
Relevant answer
Answer
I completely agree with your perspective on Pan-Africanism! It's not just a relic of the past, but a crucial tool for African progress in the 21st century. Decolonization was a necessary step, but it wasn't the finish line. Now, Africans need to forge their own path, and Pan-Africanism offers a powerful framework for that.
Imagine this: a continent where nations collaborate, fostering economic growth through shared resources, infrastructure, and expertise. Think of the possibilities! A thriving African market, unhindered by artificial borders, could attract investments, create jobs, and boost living standards for all. Pan-Africanism can be the lifeblood of this economic transformation.
But it's not just about money. Pan-Africanism is also about rediscovering and celebrating the richness of African cultures, traditions, and knowledge systems. It's about reclaiming the narrative, defining development on our terms, not through the lens of external powers. This self-determination is essential for building sustainable, inclusive progress that truly benefits all Africans.
Your upcoming conference is a perfect platform to explore these ideas further. Will China’s presence in Africa be a new form of colonialism? Can China and Africa develop win-win cooperation?
Relevant answer
Answer
It possibly can be and some would argue that it already is, however, as we have seen with Chinese presence in the Caribbean, there is a desire to appear benevolent and separate themselves from the oppressive western nations. So far, this is working in the Caribbean and African context as what is known is that European and North American incursions into both of these regions ended in catastrophe and massive wealth/resource extraction. At least with China, at this point, the benefit is outweighing the cost and much needed infrastructure is being put in place, particularly across East Africa, where it was purposefully under developed by the European entities that ruled during the age of Empire. It will be seen whether it will end as it has begun, with Africa benefitting from Chinese presence as an investor and a deterrent to other nations as the Chinese influence grows, or possibly end up with the same unequal system with a different superpower in charge.

I want to understand whether these principles are a success in Africa.
Relevant answer
Answer
The term 'Liberal Project' in the realm of political and economic philosophy pertains to a collection of concepts and activities that are based on the ideals of liberalism. These encompass democracy, personal freedoms, adherence to legal principles, and unrestricted commerce. Within a democratic framework, it underscores the significance of a government that is representational, the safeguarding of individual rights, and the protection of marginalized groups. The dedication to unrestricted commerce signifies a conviction in market-oriented economies and little governmental interference in economic matters. The liberal project promotes a political and economic system that places importance on individual freedom, democratic government, and open markets. It believes that these factors are the most effective ways to attain human development and prosperity. Nevertheless, this effort has faced scrutiny and deliberation, particularly about its ramifications in worldwide settings, such as matters of disparity and cultural standardization. Assuming that when it comes to cultural differences, there cannot be a one size fits all solution.

Qualitative does not look into the sample size. However, it is more of an 'in-depth' exploration of the respondents' feedback. Depending on the methodology used, highly recommended to adopt a systematic selective review (for Literature Review). In the analysis chapter 4 of the thesis - a combination of grounded theory (codings), content analysis, phenomenal investigation, reflective bloom taxonomy, etc., including Islamic Qualitative Methodology highly recommended. My work on gender studies (Muslim women and political empowerment) with 65 respondents using Muslim feminist grounded theory led to a new discovery in defining Muslim women and political empowerment based on an experiential case study.

INTERNATIONAL HUMOR
A world-wide telephone survey was conducted and the only question asked was:
"Would you please give your honest opinion about possible solutions to the food shortage in the rest of the world?”
The survey failed because:
In Eastern Europe there was no agreement on what "honest" meant.
In Western Europe they didn't know what "shortage" meant.
In some places in Africa they didn’t know what "food" meant.
In China they didn't know what "opinion" meant.
In the Middle East they didn't know what "solution" meant.
In South America they questioned what "please" meant.
In the USA they didn't know what "the rest of the world" meant.
And in Australia, New Zealand, Canada and Great Britain . . . everyone hung up when they heard the foreign accent.

I agree. Humor differs greatly from country to country, but there are also important similarities. That allows both for common ground, and for sometimes-unexpected differences.

Parts of East and Southern Africa, in particular, have experienced severe droughts, leading to water shortages, crop failures, and food insecurity. On the other hand, intense rainfall events have led to flooding in various regions, especially in low-lying areas and regions with poor drainage systems. What are the other threats and how those threats are related to nutrition security?
Relevant answer
Answer
Other adverse effects include an increase in the frequency and intensity of tropical cyclones, for instance, Cyclone Idai and Kenneth which devastated Mozambique, Malawi, Zambia and Madagascar. Duration and intensity of heat waves are also on the increase all over Africa, especially in the Sahel region.

We want to look up relevant scholarly articles that have been done in many nations in Africa; the study aims to covers the entire continent. In the continent's nations, it is believed that a wide range of investigations have been carried out on the specific topic so far.
In the search engine (like Google Scholar), how could we search to get all the relevant scientific works?
(a) Country "X" + "Keywords" in the search bar? If this is the approach to be followed, we'll start looking for country by country for all African nations. This may take a longer time to search all the relevant articles in the continent.
(b) "Keywords" + "Africa" in the search bar? If we adopt this strategy, the word "Africa" might not appear in the article’s "Title" or "Keywords." Hence, we may miss relevant articles to be included for the metadata development?
(c) Only "Keywords" in the search bar? This strategy brings all studies worldwide. Then, we need to further screen studies which belongs to Africa?
(d) ???
Any suggestion please?

Looking at the recent trajectory and resurgence of coups in Africa as well as the massive emigration of Africans due to poor standard of living, Nigeria being the most populous is not exempted from these sad tales. It raises the possibility of young military officers who might be dissatisfied with current realities to also take the initiative to follow the path set by their khaki brothers in other neighbouring countries. This seems unlikely as Nigeria has enjoyed uninterrupted democracy since 1999 - about 24 years now. Nevertheless, it could be argued that democracy has not so much favoured Nigerians. Hence, if there's a slightest possibility of military hostile takeover of government, it is worth looking into. Who when, how, why might be worth considering.
Relevant answer
Answer
I agree with you sir. The tribal divide makes it hard indeed, but the tribal differences have always been there from onset. In fact, one of the major driving forces for the first coup and the following counter coup was tribalism. Meanwhile, states creation and most of the infrastructures in place today were put in place under different military governments in Nigeria. Of course, this is not a denial of the many atrocities they committed, but a strong case can be made in favour of military administration.

Based on the study entitled "Transfusion Services in Tropical Africa: Challenges and Prospects from the Nigerian Perspective'' (2022), conducted by Sagir Gumel Ahmed. A preliminary study in Nigeria revealed that the incidence of clotting in blood bags in northwest Nigeria was quite high at about 3%. What are the root-cause of this high prevalence rate of clotted blood bags in a developing country, particularly Nigeria?
Source: Ahmed, S. G. (2022). Transfusion services in tropical Africa: Challenges and prospects from the Nigerian perspective. Niger J Haematol, 3, 1-17.
Relevant answer
Answer
In a tropical low-resource country such as Nigeria, blood clot incidence rate are expected to be high due to systematic inadequacies such as low level of quality control, poor hemovigilance during manual collection, a lack of automated blood collection monitors, and a lack of automation during blood collection. According to Ahmed, there are also four potential trigger mechanisms for coagulation activation and clot formation in blood bags during blood collection.
  • First, significant damage in the vascular endothelial with exposure to sub-endothelial microfibrils and collagen due to an untidy and unduly traumatic venipuncture might trigger contact activation of platelets and FXII, as well as tissue factor-mediated activation of FVI.
  • Second, a poor vein selection that may lead to slow blood flow upon venipuncture within the anticoagulant-free plastic tubing can also lead to contact activation of blood coagulation
  • Third, clot formation due to over-filling or under-mixing of blood within the bag
  • Fourth, contamination of bacteria due to inadequate cleansing can trigger coagulation and eventually cause clot formation in blood bags

It has been claimed that several tribes in Africa have developed immunity to Microcephaly.
Relevant answer
Answer
The question is interesting. I used to work in a community pharmacy, and we went from village to village, sometimes on horseback or by landrover, educating families on cleanliness and building immunity. There was no Zika in Lesotho at the time, but there was a high incidence of PEM in children from 3 months to about 5 years and we encouraged families to practice good hygiene to build immunity. So, I am not sure I understand why those "factors" in your question would limit building immunity only to "causes like the Zika virus." What about the bacteria linked to microcephaly?

Reginald Oduor writes the following:
"Prior to the incursion of Western imperialism, a sizeable proportion of the governance models of Africa’s peoples placed a high premium on consensus-building rather than majoritarianism."
Oduor goes on to detail how elections across Africa today continue to stifle democratization in the continent and that's precisely because majoritarianism is used to shut down discussion.
The critical stance toward making a majoritarian decision first instead of last, as often happens in elections, was also struck decades ago by David Beetham. He, too, held the opinion that we should only use a majoritarian decision when all other options to reach a decision have failed.
In short, consensus-building, deliberation, etc., should be what we reach for first when it is time to decide who our representatives will be or when it is time to make any sort of decision.
What do you think? Why should reaching for a majoritarian decision be the last resort and not the first option to be tried?

Please if there's any one knows any African university currently working on MXene, let us know
Relevant answer
Answer
As of my knowledge cutoff in September 2021, there are several universities and research institutions in Africa that are actively involved in materials science and nanotechnology research. However, the specific information regarding which institutions in Africa are currently working on MXene may not be readily available.
MXene research is a relatively new and rapidly growing field, and its exploration is often conducted by researchers in collaboration with international partners or through global research networks. It's worth noting that research interests and projects can evolve over time, and new developments may have emerged since my last update.
To find the most up-to-date information on MXene research in Africa, I recommend conducting a literature search on academic databases, such as IEEE Xplore, Scopus, or Google Scholar. You can use keywords like "MXene research in Africa," "MXene research in [specific country]," or "MXene research at universities in Africa" to find relevant publications and articles. Additionally, visiting the websites of prominent universities or research institutions in Africa that specialize in materials science, nanotechnology, or engineering could provide insights into ongoing research projects in this area.
It's important to stay up-to-date with the current scientific literature and reach out to individual researchers or research groups to inquire about their specific projects and contributions to MXene research in Africa.

The highly-infectious disease is similar to Ebola, with symptoms including fever, muscle pains, diarrhea, vomiting, and, in some cases, death through extreme blood loss.
Hundreds of people have died from the virus in recent years, almost all in Africa.
According to the World Health Organization (WHO), on average, the Marburg virus kills half of the people it infects, with previous outbreaks killing between 24% and 88% of patients.
The virus was first identified in 1967 after 31 people were infected and seven died in simultaneous outbreaks in Marburg and Frankfurt in Germany and Belgrade in Serbia.
The outbreak was traced to African green monkeys imported from Uganda.
But the virus has since been linked to other animals.

We are leaving in an era of mass Migration in any part of the World. Three days ago, many migrants from Africa and Asia have been killed in the South of Italy. The Italian authorities are trying to deal with the responsability of such tragedy. On the other side, it seems that the African Institutions are not able to explain the fact. How an entire Continent could observe its population migrate without trying any solution to stop it. What do you think about this matter? I think that International Co-opertion has the most responsability in this. African States are not able to follow their own Endogenous Development Programs. Thank you for your contributions.
Relevant answer
Answer
Quite simply, African leaders would not have cared about the reasons and motives for their youth to emigrate, so how do you expect them to care about addressing the post-migration repercussions? The problem is that the nature of the ruling regimes in the majority of African countries are regimes that lack legitimacy and are corrupt and linked to external powers. They do not care about the interests of their people, but rather the personal interests of leaders and their survival in power for as long as possible, even at the expense of their people and the interests of their nations.
