I am afraid that the effect may be opposite to that intended. I don't know what it's like in your country, but in Poland, people who have problems with basic calculations, creating a simple proportion or calculating a percentage can graduate from technical school or even higher education. Very often, these are people whose intellectual potential allows them to understand these issues, but they have never had the need or motivation to do so. Probably because mathematics in school was limited to memorizing formulas and definitions and performing calculations using calculators. My opinion is that to understand something well, you need to do it manually from start to finish at least once, and often repeat this operation many times. Using tools too early makes not only students but also teachers lazy. The calculator will allow you to achieve the result faster and with less risk of error, but this will not be the result of developing mathematical skills, but of entering data into the calculator in a "monkey motion". While speeding up certain operations and reducing the risk of mistakes makes sense at work, this is not what education is about. Learning is about performing certain operations step by step, and the mistakes you make draw your attention to what you need to improve.
Notice how the use of artificial intelligence in education impairs independence and creativity. You will observe similar effects in any situation when the task is performed for the student by the tool. Therefore, I believe that the time to learn how to use tools is only after understanding a given issue.

I suspect that your sample size would not be large enough to support a quantitative analysis, so on the qualitative side, you could conduct in-depth individual interviews or focus groups. The primary limitation with focus groups is recruitment, so ask yourself how easy or difficult it would be to get 5 or 6 participants together in the same place at the same time.

Hello, I would agree that predefined inclusion criteria and literature search limits (such as date and English-language) should be defined for a systematic review. Then comes a decision as to whether meta-analysis is possible and if so, which studies should be statistically combined. How similar study populations are clinically and the statistical heterogeniety are drivers to these decisions. One thing that needs more discussion in the community is our current measurement of statistical heterogeneity. According to Michael Borenstein, current measures of heterogeneity, such as I-squared were never actually designed for that purpose. ABSTRACT
The study explored the relationship between mindfulness levels and academic performance among
prospective teachers in the subject of Technical Writing and Presentation Skills at the university
level. The population comprised morning and evening semester prospective teachers from a selected university. Using convenient sampling, an intact group of 80 students (42 from the morning session and 38 from the evening session) was selected, representing diverse academic backgrounds and including both genders for comprehensive analysis. Mindfulness levels were assessed using the Five Facet Mindfulness Questionnaire (FFMQ), which evaluated Observing, Describing, and Acting with
Awareness, Non-Judging of Inner Experience, and Non-Reactivity to Inner Experience. Academic
performance was measured by the Grade Point Average (GPA) system. The study revealed considerable mindfulness levels across the five facets, with no significant gender differences, and a significant positive correlation between mindfulness and academic achievement. This study's results
underscore the significant outcome of mindfulness interventions in improving academic portfolios.
The results further recommend that incorporating mindfulness activities/practices within an
educational setting will enhance cognitive development and academic achievement.

Once the optimal subset of features is identified, it is exclusively used to train the specified classifier, which also employs a decision tree as the base classifier.
To ensure reliable and generalizable results, conduct these steps within a 10-fold cross-validation framework for both feature selection and classification.
NB: PCA won't be useful in your case. This is because it transforms the data into a new set of uncorrelated features, which can be hard to interpret in terms of the original features.

It is quite obvious that wasting time on social media steals that time from studying (pre-graduates) or researching (post-graduates). Interviews with teenagers in Norway show that once the fall for the temptation to check IM/SM during classes, "it is really difficult to return attention to the class" (Sorry, I don't have the reference for this particular research, but I think there should be tens of such surveys "out there" from many different countries). It is not only the time wasted directly with SM/IM, there is also the problem of diversion of attention from research/studies to whatever is happening in the SM/IM, anticipation of what others will post, how to react, etc.
Everyday use of SM/IM is not only a predictor for poor academic performance, is it a direct cause.

Direct effect of X on Y = -0.341
Indirect effect of X on Y = -0.06 (weak but significant).
How do I interpret the same to make theoretical sense?

Objective: Attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) in preschoolers usually decreases
their academic performance and disrupts parent-child interactions. The present study aimed at
evaluating the effect of localized play therapy on preschoolers with ADHD.
Methods: The research method was quasi-experimental with a pretest-posttest design and
control group. Using a multi-stage random sampling method, and considering the inclusion
criteria, a total of 24 mothers of preschoolers with ADHD were selected and randomly divided
into experimental and control groups. The experimental group participated in 10 sessions of
localized play therapy (LPT) while the control group received no training. The instruments for
data collection were Vanderbilt ADHD diagnosis parents rating scale (VADPRS) and clinical
interviews. Data analysis was conducted using ANCOVA (analysis of covariance).
Results: The results showed that there was a statistically significant difference between the
performance of the experimental and control groups at posttest, and upon the follow-up
(P<0.05).
Conclusion: LPT has positive effects on clinical symptoms of ADHD in preschool children.
Hence, this method can be used to improve the mental health of children with ADHD and their
parents.

If you are looking at the influence of something like Facebook addiction on academic performance then you need some way of measuring performance, and performance should be your dependent variable. If you are only measuring this once then there is a serious potential problem with your research: you appear to be assuming that there is no relationship between Facebook addiction and prior ability, which I suspect is not the case. For a variety of social factors I would expect that smarter people are less addicted to Facebook and therefore appear to perform better.

Each student has been assessed by their main teacher in relation to their skill level in Danish, math, natural sciences, music, reading etc. on a scale from 1 - 5 (from poor to great).
The reliability is high and there is a high degree of correlation between the items. However, when it comes to naming this factor, I am in doubt. I have named this factor 'academic achievement' initially but would it be more precise to call it 'academic performance' or something else?
Do you know any formal definition of academic achievement or academic performance in education research? What is the difference between the two?

Academic performance: passing and passing the subjects in the time foreseen for the studies.

Which test should I use to compare students' mood effects on academic performance? I want to compare mood measured on a likert scale (from point 1= very sad to point= 5 very happy) to three different test scores. They assigned their mood before taking the test. Any help?

Depending on the tests you use to evaluate and measure both variables and at the level (interval, ordinal, nominal ...) at which the scores of the results are obtained and expressed in them: this will allow us to know if statistical correlations can be made , and of what type, "chi square" tests, ANOVAs ... etc ...

The variables are:
Students' readiness: I intend to measure it through time-management skills, access to technology, and self-direction
Academic performance: students' grades in the previous semester
The research hypotheses are:

If the question is, do the preceptions of clients change as a result of the visit, then a method such as McNemar's test would appear to be appropriate. This approach compares instances in which the two responses differed for a participant from pre to post.
If the question is, are clients more satisfied post-visit than pre-visit, you could apply the WIlcoxon signed ranks-sum test (wherein each response is quantified 1, 2, or 3 as you outline in your query).

For a job, especially at universities we designed a set of criteria. In this the most important one is about number of research papers (publications), impact factor and citation. Generally, a resesrer or a research group add coauthors and made an incompetent person eligible for a particular post. The person, later on destroy everything and a growing research institution/ university go down for a number of years. How we can safeguard our instruments from such things?
