which one do you prefer Mendeley or Endnote? why? both of them are excellent for Reference but actually there are some differences between them.

Does anyone have a practicable solution for the JabRef => Endnote X7 conversion?

I was googling a bit and there are :

- sites telling that one should export the JabRef bib file as .ris file (which does not work).

- Others say that one should export it as "Endnote .txt", however, when doing so, the references in Endnote show all the formatting elements of LaTeX, which afterwards have to be corrected manually... (300 refs to work through).

- On the JabRef Website they propose an Endnote Export Extra Tool (http://jabref.sourceforge.net/help/fr/EndNoteFilters.php), but it is from 2004...

I am sure most people have the same question on their minds. I already see some questions on ResearchGate but couldn't see the proper answer.

The question is: How do you people write papers on Linux? Mainly, what do you use for a citation?

LibreOffice and OpenOffice have the Mendeley plugin, however, it has compatibility issues with Microsoft Office. This creates a big problem with collaborative work. Regardless of the compatibility issues, both software is not easy to use, or at least not for people who have used Microsoft Office for decades.

I tried Google Docs, and it has a few citation plugins (ie. Paperpile) but again there are sometimes compatibility issues with Microsoft Office, plus, Google docs (writer) lacks most of the functions (ie. vertical text on tables).

I am currently using WPS office which is easy to use and fully compatible with Microsoft Office but there is no Mendeley (or other citation) plugin. It has an "Endnote" function, but I have to manually type the citation, which is torture.

So, do you have any suggestions rather than buy an Apple Mac or return to Windows?

For example Mendeley, Endnote...etc. I have recently used Mendeley because it is free and easy to use. It pleasures for me to hear your experience with such programs.

Where can I download the BIOTEL excel spreadsheet program for telomere length analysis?

BIOTEL is an excel spreadsheet for the analysis of telomere length from Q-FISH method.

I have used excel and Prism to analyse the results.

I have some sample values which are below blank (OD).

If I substract the OD value of these samples from blank I do get VERY LOW or negative values which latter when I calculate the cytokine concentration based on standard curve , I get negative values.

What is the best to do inthis case?

What is the best program to analys the result from ELISA?

Should I subtract the OD of samples from OD of blank before past it in any program?

Any answer appriciated.

I dosed 6 groups of cells with different concentrations and am looking for the IC50 using excel, as I do not have access to a higher power program. Also, this is my first time doing this and I have little background in this, so if you could explain-like-I'm-five as best as possible, that would be helpful. I will upload my data as well, so you can see what I am looking at. Thanks!

The data is on excel and I import it to gauss program. however, I could not save the data and not use it in my code.
