I am particularly looking for literature on technological advancements applied to the marine industry, especially in the fields of boating, computing, embedded systems, and industry developments.

The question concerns the role of technological innovation in social policy, especially in the context of social benefits and administrative solutions. Innovations such as e-government can improve access to social services, but they can also contribute to the exclusion of less affluent people who have limited access to technology.

The research I am conducting shows that technological innovations in social policy have the potential to reduce social inequalities, provided that they are properly adapted to the needs of all social groups and that access to technology is equal for all citizens. The application of technological innovations in social policy can introduce a number of benefits, such as simplifying administrative processes, reducing waiting times for benefits or reducing administrative costs. However, for people in difficult financial situations without access to the Internet or modern devices, such solutions can become a barrier. Therefore, it is important that the implementation of new technologies in social policy takes place in parallel with efforts to ensure universal access to these technologies. Innovation can both mitigate and exacerbate social inequalities, depending on how it is designed and implemented.

Can we live without biodiversity and technological innovations used to conserve and restore biodiversity?

The COVID-19 pandemic has changed the face of the world and transformed our lives forever. Technology has not failed in the face of this transformation.

Fortunately

The pandemic has stimulated technological innovation and we have witnessed the production of an anthology of effective technical solutions deployed to deal with the pandemic.

Can we say that the COVID-19 pandemic had a positive impact on the development and stimulation of technological innovations, particularly those relating to the fight against COVID 19?

I am collating case studies of externally-developed (i.e. outside the target market country), pro-social (designed to enhance social welfare: e.g. health, sanitation, education, empowerment etc) technological innovations successfully diffusing in markets commonly termed bottom of the pyramid, low income, developing and emerging economies. I am especially interested in case studies that adopt a business model perspective. Many thanks for your recommendations.

In a journal article written by Kavulavu et al. (2022), entitled “Challenges facing Blood Transfusion Services at a Regional Blood Transfusion Center in Western Kenya”, one of the key challenges faced at the Eldoret Regional Blood Transfusion Center (ERBTC) is unsuitable blood wastages and discards. While majority of these blood discards were due to transfusion transmissible infections, statistics have shown that about 33.3% of the discards were due to insufficient volumes. Aligned with this, this question is raised in hopes to know what strategies can be implemented to reduce the incidence of unsuitable blood discards. Moreover, this will also look into the potential of using technology and automated machines in addressing these problems.
