The Youth Academic Annual Conference of the Chinese Society of Automation (YAC) is a national annual academic conference hosted by the Chinese Society of Automation and organized by the Youth Working Committee of the Chinese Society of Automation. It has been successfully held for 38 times so far. Since the China Association for Science and Technology first released the "Guidelines for Important Academic Conferences" in 2018, YAC has been selected into the guide for six consecutive years. The 39th Youth Academic Annual Conference is hosted by the Chinese Society of Automation and the Youth Working Committee of the Chinese Society of Automation, and hosted by Dalian University of Technology and the IEEE SMC Association. It will be held in Dalian, Liaoning, from June 7 to 9, 2024. It aims to provide opportunities for students in the field of automation It provides an academic exchange platform for domestic and foreign scholars and technicians to showcase the latest theoretical and technological achievements. The conference uses the form of conference reports, special seminars, group reports and posted papers for communication.

We (researchers from Aalto University and Nokia Bell Labs, Finland) are conducting a study about the usability of TPM libraries. We want to understand the current trends and usage of the libraries in day-to-day life. Right now, we are doing a preliminary survey to identify volunteers for participating in our study.

I have tried to use Web MEV, an web based open platform for microarray and NGS data analysis, but I simply could not start the platform on the page: http://mev.tm4.org/#/welcome, neither "get started" nor "sign in with Google" did not work. Has anyone experience with the platform and knows how to bring it into life?

there are so many kind and considerate people who are ready to collaborate, contribute and support each other on the research areas. This site is a true treasure of the humanity !!! When a true scientist sees your potential he takes the time to view your works and see if she/he can help. This is priceless when you're an independent researcher!!! Dear colleagues,

I am trying to work in plutoF plataform. I had followed the import manual instructions step by step, however every time I want to import my .csv file (file contains fungi sequences and sequence information, such as ID, collection country, gps coordinates, etc.), I get one or both of the following error messages:

1. ValidationError: Error preparsing source file: Selection is missing a required field Sequence ID 2: ValidationError: Error preparsing source file: Duplicate columns

Does anyone know how to fix this? or have an example .csv file I could use as a template?

I work on Budding Yeast (S. cerevisiae), and often face hurdles and issues with techniques, protocols and sometimes I am just plain curious. I was wondering if there is any exclusive platform for yeast biologists to come together and discuss their research related problems and queries and help each other. I am sure that we learn so many things from our mistakes, and sometimes the smallest thing is actually what is needed for an experiment to work. Can you guys please suggest or share a link if you know, or are a part of such a group. I would love to be a part of the same.

Let's take Javascript as an example. It's not the best language for heavy computing in comparison to say C++ or Fortran, but it can work across nearly all platforms (Which is an advantage I find very useful). However, I find it hard to take benchmarks into consideration owing to different engines across platforms (Like Chrome's V8 and iOS's Webkit). Also, different CPU architectures are a major factor.

So the question is: Do benchmarks hold relevance when considering multiplatform applications?
