How can we measure bench alignment parameters for above-knee prosthesis ?
Question
  • Sep 2015
Bench alignment measures could be done by PROS.A. Assembly or L.A.S.A.R Assembly from Ottobock. but I still don't know how to the find the socket axis and do these measurements:
socket AP shift
socket AP tilt
socket ML tilt
socket rotation
Could someone explain how can we measure these parameters and define the socket axis

How is A^\phi calculated?
Question
  • Aug 2013
I'm reading through the work, Evaluation of Pitzer Ion Interaction Parameters of Aqueous Electrolytes at 25C, 1. Single Salt Parameters, J. Chem. Eng. Data, 1988, 33, 177-184, and this question regards equation 3.
Using
Avogadro's number No = 6.022e23
Density of water at 25C dw = 997 kg/m3
Electron charge e = 1.602e-19 C
Dielectric constant of water at 25C D = 78.55 * 8.854e-12 C^2/J
Boltzmann constant k = 1.38e-23 J/K
Temperature at 25C T = 298.15K
I get A^\phi = 1/3 * (1.9422e12)*(8.4935e-13) = 0.549sqrt(kg) which is
not their 0.392.
Do you have any ideas?

Strengthening mechanism or precipitation hardening
Question
  • May 2017
When a dislocation faces precipitations, two probabilities might take place:
1)dislocation cut through precipitation particles or,
2)dislocation leave a loop around precipitation particles.
We know that both of these mechanisms rises the strength and hardness of the alloy, but which of these have more influence?

Why we have to clock tree synthesis? to make skew zero, to make clock propagation. Still what is to be done in cts in physical design?
Question
  • May 2016
After clock tree synthesis, we check for skew. We try to optimize the skew. In cts clock is routed & propagated. Still what we have to do in cts? If anybody has material on cts please forward to me.

Using Pitzer ion interaction parameters?
Question
  • Aug 2013
Suppose that I want to evaluate some physical chemical properties of sodium bisulfite using Pitzer ion interaction parameters.
Can I use the parameters for Na2SO3 and merely set the concentration of Na to half, or should I find a set of tertiary interaction parameters, which includes interaction with H+? I've tried to find paramaters for NaHSO3 but have been unsuccessful so far.

How ductility is enhanced by strain hardening?
Question
  • Jan 2014
In UFG, ductility can be restored by introducing second phase particles as it helps in accumulating dislocations, thus increasing the strain hardening effect. How?
