Dear all

I have used AMOS for confirming my structural model based on parallel mediation. However, since my trial version of SPSS has expired I would like to know , if I can use SMART-PLS or some other software to calculate VIF and effect size values and include it in my final analysis.

I am in a fix, currently writing a paper in entrepreneurial behavior. My data mostly comprise of scale and categorical.  I want to use Structural Equation Modeling ( SEM ).

Please advise how to decide which package is best for my research "Amos" or "Smart PLS" ?

I need to understand how to use this table

Is it possible to build models like those attached with SEM PLS? If yes, are they framed in which sets of models?

we used social capital component at different place as constructs. Generally, social capital always jointly together as indicators as reflective construct of social capital.   

So far, I knew that we can modify a construct with either formative or reflective indicators in SmartPLS. Is there anyone doing a MIMIC Model in SmartPLS (PLS-SEM)?

I’d like to analyse data from two different surveys, the first containing responses from supervisors, the second comprising responses of corresponding team members.

The idea is, to measure some constructs with ‘matched pairs’, in particular there are three kind of constructs:

a) Constructs that have been measured by both parties

b) Constructs that have been measured by managers only

c) Constructs which have been measured by team members only

So, a consolidated data table including answers of both surveys would, for example, look like the on in the attached file

Assuming, I want to measure a possible connection between teamAutonomy (team members only) --> teamPerformance (supervisors only), would the PLS SEM algorithm (for example lavaan in R) be able to calculate the regression?

Or do I necessarily have to aggregate data, for example by grouping per teamID?

I was inspired by a research article of Ko, Kirsch and King 2005 (https://www.researchgate.net/publication/220259854_Antecedents_of_Knowledge_Transfer_from_Consultants_to_Clients_in_Enterprise_System_Implementations) where they have a similar model.

But honestly, I have no clue how they prepared (and analysed) the data and what is needed for this kind of analysis.

Do you have any comments or thoughts?
