I'm investigating how gender stereotypes are changing during the last twenty years in animation cinema. Disney and Pixar are triying to introduce new points of view and new opportunities for their main characters, if they are masculine or feminine, but, how and in what kind of issues are they modified?

It seems to me that on television and in the movies the final way to resolve a problem for women is to use violence (even in the cartoon movies for children like Shrek 2, the women resort to violence to take over the kingdom). Also, after a woman meets a man she likes, the next scene usually shows her in bed with him. I was wondering if anyone has done any quantitative research in this area. My doctorate is in Information Systems and Communications.

I have reviewed the results about the influence of the gender variable in the research about cyberbullying and I have found large inconsistencies in the results. These inconsistencies in results obtained by different studies suggests the need for further investigation and for a more global perspective, on that goes beyond the simple classification of results by sex.

I would like to delve into gender differences: is bullying and cyberbullying different in nature for men and women?, are the roles of men and women different in cyberbullying than in bullying?, are gender stereotypes repeated in the virtual space or have new models appeared?

I would like to examine, how important to women is to have children in order to feel fulfilled?

I am doing a research about the gender stereotypes on Afghanistan, i made a list of 22 traits for determining Warmth, competence and Moral traits in Afghanistan.

Hi everyone, the last part of my Ph.D. would aim to measure how stereotypes and personality influence men and women in choosing their educational and career paths. Browsing online I could not find a survey/data set from which to extract the information I need for the analysis. Does anyone have any advice? The analysis will focus on both Finland and Italy so ideally, the data should have also information on these two countries. Thanks in advance to everyone who will take part in this discussion. I am researching gender stereotyping in food advertising. I find it quite telling that some of the food advertisements in women's magazines have gender stereotyping issues. Although it has improved, advertisers still have a habit of using gender social roles to promote their products.
