This abstract explores the correlation between laboratory experiences and students' motivation to learn chemistry. The significance of this study lies in its potential to inform teaching methodologies and improve the overall learning experience in chemistry education. Laboratory experiments have long been an integral component of chemistry education, offering students hands-on opportunities to apply theoretical knowledge. This study examines how these practical experiences impact students' motivation. It synthesises existing literature, incorporating research findings from various educational settings. Findings reveal a strong positive relationship between laboratory experiences and increased motivation among students. Engaging in experiments fosters a deeper understanding of chemical principles, enhances problem-solving skills, and promotes a sense of ownership over learning. Furthermore, the tangible nature of experiments makes chemistry concepts more relatable and exciting, thus fueling intrinsic motivation. However, the study also acknowledges that the effectiveness of laboratory experiences in boosting motivation can vary depending on factors like pedagogical approach, teacher-student interactions, and access to resources.
