In the 21st century, people are paying more and more attention to leisure and health, which are characterized by “healthy consumption” and “green consumption”. “Sports tourism is becoming more and more popular in modern tourism, which integrates leisure and health. Despite its recent introduction in China, sports tourism has swiftly emerged as a pivotal economic driver for many cities, reflecting advancements in both material and spiritual aspects and significantly advancing the tourism and mass sports sectors. This study utilizes multi-sensor network technology to investigate the sports tourism industry. Research findings reveal significant factors influencing development: 91 respondents (18.2%) emphasize social productivity impacts, while 85 respondents (17%) highlight regional economic development. Additionally, 63 respondents (12.6%) cite the influence of sports tourists’ values, 80 respondents (16%) stress the importance of local policies, and 67 respondents (13.4%) note tourists’ consumption concepts. Furthermore, 55 respondents (11%) mention the socialization of sports and tourism, 76 respondents (15.2%) emphasize infrastructure development, and 57 respondents (11.4%) prioritize the planning and promotion of sports tourism projects. These insights underscore the precise analytical role of multi-sensor networks in understanding the dynamics of sports tourism development and providing essential data to support industry growth and development.
