OHS is an activities to ensure and protect the safety and health of the workforce through prevention of occupational injuries and occupational diseases. One way of prevention of work accident is through to implement OHS System. The OHS process should begin with a good planning process to ensure that its implementation complies with the desired policies and objectives. PT. XYZ Medan has implemented OHS System which is regulated in the procedures and manuals of the company’s management system. The purpose of this study was to assess and evaluate the Occupational Safety and Health Management System and also to evaluate Hazard Identification in the company. This research uses checklist method of all assessment criteria of OHS management system based on Indonesian Government Regulation, and for application of OHS in company use qualitative data through spreading of quisioner to managers, supervisors and workers. Based on the result of observation, it is found that the implementation of OHS in the company is not fully complied with the Indonesian Government Regulation. There are still 24 unfulfilled criteria that is concerning policy, plan of OHS, document control, product control, work security, hazard inspection, material management, skills and abilities. This study resulted in the acquisition of the results of analysis in the achievement level of OHS is 92.2% and has been included in the satisfactory category so worthy to be certified and ranked the golden flag. And analysis of the implementation and implementation of OHS to the established principles has been above 50% and can be interpreted that OHS is considered important to be applied in the company.

p> PT. CJ Feed Medan is a engaged in the animal feed industry. The purpose of this study is to determine the amount of GM-1C feed production from the forecasting of the number of sales of animal feed products of the previous type. And to plan raw material inventory for production of GM-1C animal feed with Material Requirement Planning method. Forecasting is a process to estimate the level of some future needs that include the needs in quantity size, quality, time and location required in order to meet the demand for goods or services. Material Requirement Planning is a logical procedure, decision rule and computerized records engineering designed to translate master production schedules or MPS (Master Production Scheduling) into Net Requirements for all items or components. From good sales data forecasting method is cyclical method because it has the smallest SEE value. So it can be estimated sales of the last 10 days in October 2017 as much as 70782, 70143, 69266, 68210, 67049, 65860, 64725, 63720, 62915 and 62365. The last process to get data on raw material needs is the making of MRP report. This report is a comprehensive report of the raw material requirements for GM-1C products. </p

The increasingly globalized changes in the modern economy have grown rapidly in all areas of life such as industry, services, property, mining, transportation and others. But behind the progress there is a price to be paid by the people of Indonesia is the negative impact caused one of them is a disaster such as accidents, pollution and occupational diseases that resulted in thousands of people injured every year. This condition is caused by the lack of concern about safety and health (K3) in the community. Health and Safety Management System (SMK3) is regulated in Government Regulation No. 50 of 2012 on Guidelines for Implementation of Occupational Safety and Health Management System. HSE Management System is part of the overall corporate management system required for the development, implementation, achievement, assessment and maintenance of OSH obligations, in the context of risk control related to work activities for the creation of safe, efficient and productive workplaces.This research was conducted at a company that produce animal feed in Medan City. The company is building a health and safety management system in the company.The result of research on the implementation of Occupational Safety and Health Management in animal feed companies that the implementation of SMK3 in the company has followed the clauses required in PP No.50 of 2012. This is shown by the small gap between Government Regulation No.50 of 2012 with the application in company.


ANALISA PENGENDALIAN KUALITAS REFINED BLEACHED DEODORIZED PALM OIL DENGAN MENGGUNAKAN METODE TAGUCHI PADA PT. XYZ

PT. XYZ merupakan perusahaan yang bergerak di bidang pengolahan kelapa sawit. Di dalam pengolahan dari CPO menjadi minyak Refined Bleached Deodorized Palm Oil, tentunya tidak lepas dari masalah yang berhubungan dengan kualitas. Penelitian terhadap kualitas Refined Bleached Deodorized Palm Oil dilakukan dengan menggunakan Metode Taguchi. Tujuan dari metode Taguchi ini yaitu untuk menentukan kombinasi level yang optimal untuk masing-masing faktor sehingga dihasilkan Refined Bleached Deodorized Palm Oil yang sesuai dengan standar. Hasil analisa diolah dengan menggunakan metode rata-rata, analisis varians dan strategi pooling up. Dari hasil kesimpulan menunjukkan bahwa untuk kadar ALB setting yang paling optimal yaitu tekanan perebusan pada level 1 (2,0 torr), temperatur perebusan pada level 2 (105oC) dan waktu pada proses perebusan pada level 1 (50 min). Untuk kadar warna setting yang paling optimal yaitu tekanan perebusan pada level 1 (2,0 torr), temperatur perebusan pada level 2 (105oC) dan waktu pada proses perebusan pada level 1 (50 min). Sedangkan untuk kadar air setting yang paling optimal yaitu waktu pada proses perebusan pada level 2 (60 min), temperatur perebusan pada level 2 (105oC) dan tekanan pada perebusan (2,0 torr). Berdasarkan data di atas, dapat diketahui bahwa total proporsi cacat secara keseluruhan setelah diterapkan kombinasi setting yang optimal berdasarkan penelitian dengan metode Taguchi adalah 18,05%. Setelah menerapkan kombinasi setting yang optimal berdasarkan metode Taguchi, total proporsi cacat secara keseluruhan menurun sebesar 9,71%.

Mutu adalah suatu citra yang sangat didambakan oleh setiap perguruan tinggi dalam memberikan jasakepada pelanggan (mahamahasiswa, alumni, masyarakat dan stakeholder), baik dalam hal jasa pelayananakademik maupun jasa pelayanan non akademik. Pengertian mutu dalam konteks perguruan tinggi dapatdidefinisikan melalui berbagai pendekatan, tetapi pada prinsipnya adalah conformance to requirement, yaituhasil yang dikerjakan sesuai dengan apa yang diisyaratkan atau yang distandarkan. Universitas Medan Areasebagai suatu perguruan tinggi yang bergerak pada institusi pendidikan telah mendapatkan sertifikat ISO9001:2008 dan menerapkannya dalam pelaksanaan pelayanan akademik dan non akademik, salah satunya padalingkup rektorat. Permasalahan yang diangkat adalah bagaimana penerapan standar mutu ISO 9001:2008 danfaktor-faktor apa yang menjadi kendala dalam penerapan standar mutu yang mempengaruhi nilai penerapan ISO9001:2008 pada lingkup rektorat. Dalam lingkup rektorat tersebut, maka dilakukan wawancara dengan personilyang terkait dan observasi pada pelaksanaan pelayanan tersebut. Penilaian penerapan standar mutu ISO9001:2008 (klausul 4 sampai dengan klausul 8) ini didapat dengan metode skor audit dan skala pengukuranvariabel menggunakan pembobotan dan spider chart. Hasil penelitian dari evaluasi penerapan ISO 9001:2008adalah ada beberapa klausul yang belum sesuai pada Universitas Medan Area dan kepedapan agar menjadiprogram prioritas untuk Universitas Medan Area.

Persediaan suku cadang tepat waktu merupakan aset yang cukup penting pada perusahaan penyewaan kendaraan khususnya dalam penyelesaian program perawatan dan perbaikan tepat waktu sehingga kendaraan yang siap pakai tersedia pada saat dibutuhkan. Kenyataannya di perusahaan, pada bulan Februari, ada 104 jam waktu menganggur karena menunggu suku cadang tiba di lokasi perbaikan. Pada bulan Maret, ada 169 jam waktu menganggur akibat suku cadang terlambat tiba. Dan pada bulan April, ada 161 jam waktu menganggur untuk menunggu suku cadang tiba. Hal ini menyebabkan seringnya terjadi keterlambatan dalam pengadaan suku cadang sehubungan dengan ketidakjelasan sistem informasi dalam pengelolaan suku cadang. Untuk mengatasi permasalahan di atas, maka dilakukan perancangan data base dan perancangan sistem informasi. Perancangan data base dengan melakukan pengkodean grup suku cadang, pengkodean suku cadang, pengklasifikasian suku cadang dan penentuan elemen-elemen persediaan. Perancangan sistem informasi yang dilakukan dengan metode unified modelling language. Hasil yang diperoleh dengan menerapkan sistem ini adalah pengematan Rp. 9,090,432.56 untuk suku cadang jenis ban, penghematan Rp. 947,025.47 untuk suku cadang jenis ban dalam, penghematan Rp. 1,298,446.09 untuk suku cadang jenis oli, penghematan Rp. 1,198,187.93 untuk suku cadang jenis oli hidrolik, penghematan Rp. 1,559,882.97 untuk suku cadang jenis minyak pelumas, penghematan Rp. 1,285,816.22 untuk suku cadang jenis ban vulkanisir dan penghematan Rp. 5,843,724.47 untuk suku cadang jenis selendang ban.
