This paper is a continuation of the previous research. The refrigerator-truck system is treated as a two-substructure multi-coordinate coupled system, which is composed of a refrigerator substructure and a truck substructure coupled by numerous packaging units. Applying the two-substructure multi-coordinate coupled inverse substructure method to a product-transport system, the paper makes an analysis of the dynamic characteristics for the refrigerator-truck system. In order to validate the method in the refrigerator-truck system, the measured system-level frequency response functions (FRFs) were used to predict the substructure-level FRFs that were compared with those directly measured and found to be in agreement in trend. To evaluate the vibration transmissibility of packaging units, the concepts of the vibration contribution, vibration contribution ratio, overall vibration contribution and overall vibration contribution ratio to product response through each packaging unit are introduced. The vibration contributions to the refrigerator through four coupling points almost coincide with each other in the whole frequency domain. However, the vibration contribution ratios are different at each frequency. The overall vibration contributions to the refrigerator through the frequency domain 10 to 50 Hz through four coupling points are respectively 9.4, 7.5, 9.8 and 11.2 mm/N, and the overall vibration contribution ratios are respectively 0.25, 0.20, 0.26 and 0.29. The vibration transmissibilities of four coupling points are similar. Copyright © 2014 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.

The product and vehicle, through a packaging, constitute a complex product-transport system in logistics. It is very important to obtain the frequency response functions of the product-transport system and its substructures for the design of product packaging. In this paper, the product-transport system is treated as a two-substructures multi-coordinate coupled system. It is composed of a product substructure and a vehicle substructure, which are connected by a packaging structure consisting of many packaging units. The multi-coordinate coupled inverse substructure method is developed and used to analyse the dynamic characteristics of the product-transport system. To verify the validity of this method for the product-transport system, the experiment of a physical prototype is conducted. The results show that the predicted substructure-level frequency response functions are in accordance with the measured. Copyright © 2013 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.

Energy consumption makes a great contribution to the economic condition of a country. Meanwhile, total energy consumption reflects on the economic condition of a country. Therefore, it is pivotal to make a prediction on the total energy consumption of China. Due to features of the data, we provided a model, called fuzzy grey Markov chain model based on quadratic fitting, to predict the total energy consumption of China. The model avoided the shortcomings of the traditional grey Markov predicting model like weak anti-jamming ability and the existence of a grey bias. It proves that the forecasting precision of a fuzzy grey Markov chain model based on quadratic fitting is higher than other models according to the comparison. That means the trend and fluctuation of the data could be better predicted, leading to a result with more instructive significance. Keywords: prediction of total energy consumption in China, quadratic-fitted grey prediction, Markov chain, fuzzy set theory, fuzzy grey Markov chain model based on quadratic fitting.

Based on the propagation mechanism of the rumor control, this study proposes a mode of propagation found on the information content to describe the dissemination of two opposite rumors on the same subject among crowds and sets up public opinion control model on the basis of this mode. Two opposite rumors on the same subject in our mode of propagation can respectively represent rumor and truth, so we investigate their interactions during the dissemination among crowd and simulate it in the connecting multi-small-world-network. Finally, by adjusting the factors which can affect the control effect of the model, we propose a corresponding rumor immunization strategy. Based on that, we conduct the analogy analysis of interactions of many opposite rumors on the same subject when they spread among crowds.

The aim of this study is to evaluate grape wine quality more objectively by reducing the error of traditional grape-wine-quality evaluation. On combining grape wine quality and physicochemical index of grapevine, we provided a grape-wine-quality evaluation model by grapevine's physicochemical index in this study. Firstly, evaluations of the tasters are analyzed, for eliminating the disturbance caused by their individual difference. Then, relationship between grape wine and grapevines are analyzed. Inherent mechanism which affects the grape wine quality was figured out based on description of grape wine quality by physicochemical index of grapevine. Finally, we evaluated the grape wine quality by physicochemical index of grapevine. Additionally, rationality of the model is verified by statistical test while the accuracy of the results is verified by comparison with the evaluating results made by tasters.

Leaf mass, a vital parameter of forest ecology and physiology, is estimated in this study. According to the simulation result in this study, leaf shape makes little contribution to the exposure area. Moreover, a four-layer hidden-node neural network model is used in the new model, analyzing correlation between leaf mass and height of trees. Leaves of various areas are tested as sensitivity analysis for the simulation which studied the influence of leaf shape on exposure area. Finally, leaf mass is estimated by a statistical model based on the regression relationship of sapwood area and leaf mass.

By setting up the 'point milling process-TSPPC' model, this study firstly is to further discreteness the point milling process and then successfully transforms it into a traveling salesman problem with precedence constraints through setting the tabu list to record manufacturing procedures. Based on characteristics of the constraints, the tabu list is used to further expand the Bee Colony algorithm and get the Dynamic Tabu Artificial Bee Colony algorithm (DTABC-algorithm) which can dynamically update the solution space. The DTABC-algorithm is used to solve the 'point milling process-TSPWTR' model. By testing, not only the 'point milling process-TSPPC' model can effectively simplify the problem of point milling process, but also the DTABC-algorithm can show outstanding properties through the solving process.

For better characterizing the heat distribution of data centers, Multi-zone Model are considered in this paper, modularizing the cold and hot aisle space of a data center into several regular modules. Upon studying the thermal transmission between every two modules, the heat distribution of all cold and hot aisles in a data center was figured out. Firstly, while considering the thermal transmission, Multi-zone Heat-mass Balanced Model, a model improved from a traditional one, was established. Three modules, which are wall flow module, thermal plume module and thermal transmission module, consists the model. The model characterizes the thermal transmission in both vertical and horizontal direction by integrating the heat conduction of walls, wall convective heat exchange and convective heat exchange among sub-regions. Then, Multi-zone Heat Distribution Model were built by combining the established modules, wall flow module, thermal plume module and thermal transmission module, with Heatmass Balanced Model. The new model makes the contribution to a detailed characterization of cold-and-hot-aislespace heat distribution in a data center. Finally, the heat distribution model, combined with data in a case, was numerically simulated. Comparing the simulation results with data in the case, conclusion can be made that the Multi-zone Heat Distribution Model enjoys well consistency and robustness.

In order to further research on the polluting condition and spreading features of heavy metals in urban surface soil, this study makes statistical analysis on indexes of 8 heavy metal concentrations. Then Are GIS geostatistical analyst was used for Kriging interpolation of each kind of heavy metal concentration before figuring out the spatial distribution. Firstly, heavy metal contamination was analyzed by single-element pollution evaluation and multi-element pollution evaluation, before rationality analysis. Then, correlation extents between heavy polluting metals were calculated in each region by rationality analysis, leading to the correlations between the heavy metals. Finally, based on propagating features of different heavy metals, propagation models in water and atmosphere were established. Additionally, according to heavy metal distribution map, distribution point of high concentration was searched. With the assumption of the number of pollution source, theoretical concentration of sample point could be figured out, after the superposition of pollution intensity using propagation model based on data of the distribution points. Thus, the optimization model was established for locating the pollution source by minimizing the difference between theoretical value and actual value.

Product, packaging and vehicle constitute a complex product transport system in logistics. It is very difficult to obtain accurately the dynamic response of a product transport system under the action of environmental vibration and shock. In this paper, product transport system is treated as a two substructure-coupled system composed of product system (including critical element) and vehicle connected by packaging and its fixing (location pattern, securing, etc.); the inverse substructure method is applied to the analysis of the dynamic characteristics of the system. For verification of the validity of the inverse substructure method for product transport system, a typical lumped mass model is taken as an example for numerical validation. To check out the accuracy of the method, we completed the experiment, and the predicted substructure-level frequency response functions are in overall agreement with those measured. The sensitivity of the method to measurement error is also made. To study the influences of the product parameters, packaging and its fixing, we investigated the effects of the coupling stiffness, mass ratio, frequency parameter ratio and damping on the dynamic response of critical element. Reducing the coupling static stiffness of product–vehicle interface can effectively lower the response of critical element, especially when the coupling stiffness is less than the stiffness of product and vehicle.
