The Early Intervention for children with Developmental Disabilities – A Family centred approach Abstract: The monograph " The Early Intervention for children with Developmental Disabilities – A Family centred approach " deal with early interventions such as special discipline. The publication contents the theoretical part, where authors clearly and systematically create the concept of early intervention - special education as a discipline for children at an early age in the Czech Republic, which then compares the situation in PRC. Subsequent chapters with a clear description disabled children in a family environment, which are implemented on description of the impact of government including the specifics of communication with experts are giving a wide view on the early intervention as a specific discipline. In the empirical part is described in detail research on children with disabilities early age and support parents in challenging situations, including parent competencies and their levels. This section also includes case studies conducted in the intervention in the Children's Center. Emphasis is also placed on a healthy and open communication between parents and children, which is crucial to maintain good relations in the family. The authors also point to foreign and domestic experience involving intact siblings to care for children with disabilities and its positive and negative sides. The publication is putting the legislative context of the whole issue, including follow-up care, social protection of children and others.
