Peritoneal Tuberculosis Presented with Gross Ascites Following Abdominal Hysterectomy

Tuberculosis is an emerging medical challenge in each and every part of the world which affects all most all parts of the body even though the commonest presentation is pulmonary tuberculosis. Peritoneal tuberculosis will lead to fibrosis and scarring of the intra-peritoneal organs while producing ascites. This is a case of peritoneal tuberculosis which presented with gross ascites, eight months after an abdominal hysterectomy.

Improvement of Placentaly Mediated Maternal Medical Disorders before the Delivery - An Alarming Sign from the Fetus

Both gestational diabetes mellitus (GDM) and hypertensive disorders in pregnancy (HDIP-gestational hypertension, preeclampsia, eclampsia and HELLP syndrome) can be considered as placentally mediated disorders. That is the reason for all most complete cure in such disorders after the delivery. Improvement of such disorders before the delivery can be considered as failing of the placenta. Urgent delivery of the fetus should be considered in such occasions after considering the fetal maturity. This article attempts to highlight the importance of this through three case reports.

Benign metastasizing leiomyoma is a rare condition usually seen in reproductive age women which presented with multiple benign smooth muscle tumors in extra uterine sites, which display unusual growth pattern. In this report, a case of benign metastasizing leiomyoma is discussed.
