Language change is a significant impact of the evolution of the times and technological advances, facilitating global cultural communication and interaction. One example of this phenomenon is gairaigo in Japanese, which is an absorbent word from a foreign language and is very commonly used in everyday communication, especially in digital media like YouTube content. Gairaigo plays an important role in modern Japanese, especially in areas influenced by global trends such as makeup. This research aims to study the process of forming the use of gairaigo in reviewing makeup on the YouTube channel Nanako in the study of morphology. Data taken from YouTube with the title "[寝起き1秒] 春色ナチュラルだけどしっかり盛れる新作プチプラメイク [Neoki 1-byō] shunshoku nachurarudakedo shikkari moreru shinsaku puchipurameiku". The theory used in this study is the theory of Tsujimura concerning the formation of the word morphology in the Japanese language. The research method used is qualitative descriptive with data collection techniques through recording, recording, and validating data by native speakers. The analysis showed that there were 28 Gairaigo words used in the video. These words undergo three types of morphological processes: compounding, clipping, and borrowing. Examples of these are ノーズシャドウ (nozu shadō), コントゥア (kontua), and ハイライトする. (hairaito suru). The findings showed the Japanese language's adaptation to foreign words through phonetic and morphological adjustments, enriching Japanese vocabulary and reflecting complex social and cultural dynamics. A deeper understanding of these morphological processes can make a significant contribution to the linguistic and literary study of language contacts and language changes as a result of globalization.

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui implikasi sufiks terhadap kalimat aktif dan pasif beserta tenses yang muncul di dalam dua berita berjudul; “Officially Established, Here are the Tasks of the Unpad PPKS Task Force” dan “Unpad Hosts AHEC 2023, a Platform for Harmonizing Higher Education for ASEAN Development” di situs web University Update News UNPAD. Dalam menganalisis data, penulis menggunakan teori Lieber (2009) dan Baugh (2005) untuk klasifikasi afiksasi dan untuk klasifikasi sufiks ke dalam kalimat aktif dan pasif. Setelah itu, penulis memasukkan jenis kalimat tersebut ke dalam tensesnya di dalam bahasa Inggris dengan menggunakan teori Azar (2002). Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode kualitatif, dengan menggunakan prosedur penelitian yang menghasilkan data deskriptif. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa di dalam dua berita di situs web University Update News UNPAD terdapat 32 data yang diklasifikasi menjadi; 5 jenis sufiks (-ed), (-d), (-s), (-ing), dan (-ive). Di dalam kedua artikel tersebut terdapat dua jenis kalimat yang terbentuk dari sufiks, yaitu kalimat aktif dan pasif. Di dalam kalimat aktif terdapat 5 jenis sufiks (-ed), (-d), (-s), (-ing), dan (-ive) dengan jumlah 19 data, sedangkan di dalam kalimat pasif dengan jumlah 12 data terdapat 2 jenis sufiks (-ed) dan (-d). Klasifikasi kalimat aktif dan pasif ini lalu diformulasikan ke dalam bentuk tenses bahasa Inggris. Pada kalimat aktif terdapat 4 jenis tenses; Present Tense (9), Past Tense (7), Present Perfect Tense (2), dan Present Continuous Tense (1). Pada kalimat pasif terdapat 5 jenis tenses; Past Tense (7), Future Tense (2), Present Tense (1), Present Perfect Tense (1) dan Past Future Tense (1).

This research aims to analyze categories and the role of syntax of galak in Palembang language. The theory used is syntactic theory by Chaer (2009). Data source from the YouTube channel Pal TV Entertainment. The research method is descriptive cualitative. Data collection uses the observation method with close-knit techniques. Data analysis was carried out using the matching method. Data is presented informally and accompanied by translation in Indonesian. In Kamus Palembang-Indonesia, galak as verb means mau and sering. The results of the research show that (1) the meaning of galak in Palembang language are mau, sering, and suka; (2) syntactic categories of galak are adverb and verb; (3) galak as adverb that accompanies the verb has the role of action and quantity, galak as adverb that accompanies the adjective has the role of condition, and galak as verb has the role of action. ABSTRAK: Bersamaan dengan pertumbuhan pinjol, muncul pula kekhawatiran terkait etika komunikasi antara perusahaan pinjol dan konsumen, terutama dalam interaksi melalui media sosial seperti WhatsApp. Salah satu fenomena yang muncul adalah ketidaksantunan berbahasa yang dilakukan oleh perusahaan pinjol dalam mengancam konsumen melalui pesan teks. Ketidaksantunan berbahasa dalam penagihan hutang dapat menyebabkan konsumen merasa terintimidasi, stres, dan cemas. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis strategi ketidaksantunan berbahasa yang digunakan oleh aplikasi pinjaman online dalam mengancam konsumen melalui media sosial WhatsApp. Penelitian ini menggunakan penelitian kualitatif dengan mengadopsi pendekatan pragmatik, penelitian ini mendasarkan analisisnya pada kerangka teoretis Culpeper tentang ketidaksantunan berbahasa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa aplikasi pinjaman online sering menggunakan strategi ketidaksantunan berbahasa dalam ancaman kepada konsumen. Strategi-strategi tersebut mencakup penggunaan ketidaksantunan secara langsung, positif, negatif, sarkasme atau kesantunan semu, serta menahan kesantunan. Penggunaan strategi ini dapat mempengaruhi hubungan antara aplikasi pinjaman online dan konsumen, menciptakan ketegangan dan ketidakpuasan. Implikasi pragmatik dari penelitian ini adalah perlunya kesadaran dan peningkatan kesantunan berbahasa dalam komunikasi antara aplikasi pinjaman online dan konsumen. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat sebanyak 107 data strategi ketidaksantunan yang terdiri dari ketidaksantunan langsung, ketidaksantunan negatif, ketidaksantunan positif, ketidaksantunan semu, dan menahan kesantunan. THE STRATEGY OF CULPEPER LANGUAGE DISABILITY IN THE THREAT OF ONLINE LOAN APPLICATIONS THROUGH WHATSAPP SOCIAL MEDIA: A PRAGMATIC STUDY ABSTRACT: Along with the growth of pinjol, concerns have also emerged regarding communication ethics between pinjol companies and consumers, especially in interactions through social media such as WhatsApp. One phenomenon that has emerged is the impoliteness of language used by loan shark companies in threatening consumers through text messages. Language impoliteness in debt collection can cause consumers to feel intimidated, stressed, and anxious. This study aims to analyse the language impoliteness strategies used by online loan applications in threatening consumers through WhatsApp social media. This study uses qualitative research by adopting a pragmatic approach, this study bases its analysis on Culpeper's theoretical framework on language impoliteness. The results show that online loan applications often use language impoliteness strategies in threatening consumers. These strategies include the use of direct, positive, negative, sarcasm or false politeness, and withholding politeness. The use of these strategies can affect the relationship between online loan apps and consumers, creating tension and dissatisfaction. The pragmatic implication of this research is the need for awareness and improvement of language politeness in communication between online loan applications and consumers. The results showed that there were 107 impoliteness strategy data consisting of bald on record impoliteness, positive impoliteness, negative impoliteness, mock impoliteness or sarcasm, and withholding politeness. p> Interrogative sentences are an important aspect of learning a foreign language. Research on Chinese interrogative sentences is still very rare, so the writer chooses to research Chinese interrogative sentences. This study aims to examine the interrogative sentences contained in the video entitled '旅行在中国 Traveling in China' on the YouTube channel 'ChinesePod'. This research is a qualitative descriptive study, using observation and note-taking techniques. The data is classified based on the type of interrogative sentence, the function and location of the question word in each interrogative sentence. The results obtained show that there are 10 types of questions with 'yes/no' answers with ten question words functioning as predicates. Then there are 7 types of questions with answers to information which are divided into three question words which function as subjects, two question words function as predicates, one question word functions as a delimiter, and one question word functions as an adverb of place . Penelitian ini bertujuan mengungkap jenis-jenis pembentukan kata dalam singkatan di TikTok. Jenis singkatan tersebut adalah initialism dan shortening. Singkatan initialism adalah versi pendek yang diucapkan huruf demi huruf dan mengambil huruf pertama dari kata-kata tersebut. Sedangkan shortening adalah kata yang disingkat agar lebih lugas. Teori yang digunakan adalah teori singkatan dari Kridalaksana (2007) yang mendefinisikan pembentukan kata, digunakan untuk mendeskripsikan dan menganalisis data. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif, di mana sumber data diperoleh dari pengguna TikTok di Indonesia dari video dan caption yang mereka gunakan. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa tujuh (7) data diklasifikasikan berdasarkan jenis proses singkatan. Terdapat (5) data yang berisi inisialisasi singkatan dan (2) data yang berisi pemendekan singkatan. Selain itu, makna dari setiap potongan data juga akan dijelaskan dengan teori semantik dari Charles W. Kreidler.

Generasi milenial dan kondisi kebahasaan merupakan dua hal yang berkelindan yang penting untuk dikaji. Sebagai bagian integral masyarakat tutur Sunda, generasi milenal di Kabupaten Ciamis memiliki peranan penting dalam upaya pemertahanan bahasa Sunda. Penelitian ini mengkaji sikap bahasa dan peranan generasi milenial dalam upaya pemertahanan bahasa Sunda di Kabupaten Ciamis. Dalam penelitian ini, digunakan metode campuran kualitatif-deskriptif dan kuantitatif. Data dikumpulkan menggunakan metode cakap dengan teknik cakap terarah, pertanyaan langsung, pertanyaan taklangsung, pemancingan jawaban, dan pertanyaan untuk mendapatkan jawaban berganda. Dari hasil penelitian, ditunjukkan bahwa dalam praktik berbahasa di Kabupaten Ciamis, generasi milenial masih tetap menempatkan bahasa Sunda sebagai alat komunikasi di setiap ranahnya dengan intensitas yang bervariasi. Sikap pemertahanan bahasa Sunda oleh kalangan milenial di Kabupaten Ciamis, ProvinsiJawa Barat sejauh ini dapat dikategorikan baik. Hal tersebut menunjukkan bahwa bahasa Sunda di kalangan milenial di Kabupaten Ciamis, masih menunjukkan eksistensinya, khususnya pada ranah kekeluargaan, kekariban, dan ketetanggaan.

The study aims to describe the formation of compounding in children story book Dumbo The Magical Story, written by Walt Disney. This study also aims to reveal types of compounding that is mostly found in the object, and to reveal the reasons. This study also describes the implications of compounding as teaching materials in narrative text for Junior High School Students. This is a qualitative with a descriptive method. The data used in this study were the compound words in children book Dumbo The Magical Story. The data collection technique used was note-taking. To measure the implications level of compounding as teaching materials in narrative text. A survey was done to 10 Junior High School students using Likert scale. The data were analysed by matching method with lexical distribution technique. The study shows than the compounding found in Dumbo The Magical Story has 3 forms namely nominal compounding, verbal compounding, and adjectival compounding. The result shows that there were 48 compounding forms consists of 25 compounding of noun+ noun, and 23 compounding of noun + adjective. it was found 6 compounding of verb+verb, 4 compounding of verb+ adjective, 5 compounding of verb + noun, and 1 verb +adjective. in the adjectival compounding, it was found 2 compounding of adjective+ adjective, 3 compounding of adverb + adjective, and 1 adjective + adverb. The form of noun+noun is mostly found in the study. That was because the target readers of the book are children so that the words used were arranged accordingly to make them understand. The implications of compound words as teaching materials in narrative text shows 3,86 out of 5 scale by using The Likert scale.Key words : compounding, children story book, teaching material, narrative, JHS students

This study aims to describe the topic-comment structure in the discourse of the lyrics of the song Shounen to Mahou no Robotto. The method used in data collection is the free-to-talk method, while for the study of data, the method used is the distributional method. The data is taken from the discourse of the lyrics of the song Shounen to Mahou no Robotto. A distributional study method is used at the data analysis stage, which uses a determining tool for language elements. From the results of the research, most of the topics found in the form of subjects that were topicalized with the topic particle marker wa, but topics can also be stated by moving elements that are not subjected to the beginning of the sentence, even though the particle wa does not mark them. Topicalization can occur in single or compound sentences. In compound sentences, the same topic can be used in both clauses, or the two clauses can have different topics. This study found more topicalization data without wa particle markers than previous studies, indicating the characteristics of song lyrics data that used language more flexibly than written data sources.
