Oral intake of the mushroom Psilocybe semilanceata, with the intent to achieve hallucinations appears to be occurring in various places in Norway. The aim of this paper is to present two case reports, to describe the mushroom and its active chemical substances, and to give an account of the clinical symptoms following intoxication. A brief note on therapy is also given.
