The objective: was to determine the efficacy and safety of nine-year therapy in patients with benign prostatic hyperplasia (ВРН) using the combination «Flosin – Prostamol Uno» by the method of assessing the quality of life and the possibility of improving objective data of urological status. The ultimate goal of nine-year follow-up of patients was to reduce the risk of developing acute urinary retention as a complication of this disease.Materials and methods. A study of patients with BPH who were included in PROSPECT IV found that 37 people from the entire cohort at the age of 59–78 years (68.2±4.7) remained under observation for 2020 (of n=94 in PROSPECT III – 39.3 % of patients were followed up for 9 years). In a similar way, the subjects were randomized according to the conditions of previous therapy into two groups: the І group (clinical) included 33 patients who received the combination «Flosin – Prostamol Uno» for 9 years; ІІ group (control) consisted of 4 subjects who received a combination «doxazosin – finasteride» also for 9 years.Results. The obtained results testify to the high therapeutic efficacy of the combination «Flosin – Prostamol Uno», comparable to the combination of drugs «doxazosin and finasteride». Combination therapy with Flosin and Prostamol Uno was well tolerated in patients with a low incidence of adverse events (5.75 %; p <0.05) compared with patients receiving the combination of doxazosin and finasteride (27 %, p <0, 05). 7 (18.9 %) patients were operated on during the last 5 years (TUR – 6; laser vaporization – 1); the level of acute urinary retention – in 7 people in the form of 1–2 episodes, which required operative assistance.Conclusion. The above facts made it possible to assert that: the adherence of patients to the combined conservative therapy of BPH according to the «Flosin – Prostamol Uno» scheme was high (43.2 %); adherence of patients operated on for acute urinary retention to this type of combination therapy was evident (all patients received Extr. Serenoa repens and tamsulosin in the postoperative period); the level of acute urinary retention in persons of group I with BPH who received treatment for 9 years was 19 % (p> 0.05).

The clinical efficacy of the drug Eroton in the treatment of erectile dysfunction in 60 patients with diabetes mellitus (DM) was studied. Performance monitoring was carried out using questionnaires on the ICEF scale and Dopplerography. The effectiveness of the use of the drug Eroton in patients with ED and diabetes at a dose of 50 mg was 26.7 %, and those who took Eroton in a dose of 100 mg – 63.3 %, therefore, if the patient has ED and diabetes, it is necessary to prescribe the drug Eroton in a dose of 100 mg initially. When comparing the effectiveness of Eroton with the original drug, it was shown that when using it at a dose of 50 mg, the effectiveness was 31.5 %, and when using it at a dose of 100 mg – 68.5 %. As can be seen from the above, the clinical effectiveness of the drug Eroton is not significantly inferior to the comparison drug.

The work shows the use of the non-hormonal drug TRILONG to activate the production of its own hormones in the treatment of hypogonadal conditions in men.The objective: study of the effectiveness of the drug Trilong in the treatment of age-related androgen deficiency (VAD) in men.Materials and methods. A study of the drug TRILONG was performed in 35 patients with VAD between the ages of 42 and 59 years (mean age 51.3±3.4 years) and the duration of disease verification from 6 months to 12 years. All 35 patients were examined in dynamics – before treatment and 1 month after the end of TRILONG monotherapy 750 mg 2 times a day after meals.Results. Monotherapy with an extract of Tribulus terrestris for 3 months contributed to a significant improvement in the androgenic status of men. We did not establish reliable effects of pituitary hormone stimulation in the plasma profiles of patients. Daily fluctuations in the prolactin profiles, as the most sensitive to various exogenous and endogenous factors, hormones, we did not find. TRILONG monotherapy is effective in correcting androgen status in men with VAD (an increase in T after treatment was 66.1 %). The effectiveness of therapy was 91.4 %. A decrease in the content of estradiol in peripheral blood by an average of 21.1 % occurred within the range of reference indicators and reflected the fact of harmonization of androgen metabolism.Conclusion. The drug is well tolerated by patients and does not cause unwanted effects, and it can be considered as a drug of the first row of hormone-reduced therapy for VAD in men. Changes in the concentration of testosterone and estradiol under the influence of TRILONG monotherapy can be regarded as a slowdown in the process of age-related involution of men.

The article discusses the role of estrogens in the male body, since estrogens along with androgens take an active part in the metabolism of the male body. The robot reveals the problem of hyperestrogenemia, which can occur in two ways. The primary (idiopathic) option is the development or worsening of hypogonadism due to an increase in the concentration of estradiol and, as a consequence, a decrease in testosterone due to inhibition of LH production by the adenohypophysis. The secondary (symptomatic) variant, which is more common, implies a decrease in the level of androgens with the subsequent development of relative hyperestrogenemia. In most cases, it is necessary to eliminate the etiopathogenetic factor that caused hyperestrogenemia, which is achievable more easily with the secondary variant. Therapy of the idiopathic version of hyperestrogenemia consists in the use of antiestrogens and aromatase inhibitors, and in cases of secondary hypoestrogenemia antiestrogen therapy is not prescribed, and the underlying disease is treated.

Experience of using complex antibacterial, antiprotozoan and antimycotical medicine Gynekit produced by «ORGANOSYN» at 34 patients with urethritis and prostatitis of various ethyology is shown in the work. Its high clinical and bacteriological efficiency is revealed. The medicine is well transferred and possesses insignificant by-effects.

The paper analized the results of reproductive function restoration in 140 married couples with male infertility, which passed the program of insemination with man’s sperm in 2013–2015 at the Institute of Reproductive Medicine (Kyiv). It was found that the number of pregnancies and childbirths after 3 attemps (420 cycles) with an interval of 3–5 months was reached in 17,0±1,8% and 15,0±1,8% cases, respectively. The presence of a linear relationship between the fact of fertility recovery and factors such as the woman’s age, duration of non-set of natural pregnancy, and the response of the ovulatory function to stimulation was confirmed. The influence of the spermogram indicators on the result is objectified: the type of pathospermia, the concentration of sperm, which is inversely dependent on the presence of predictors and determinants that burden the general condition of the man, as well as the percentage of actively moving sperm fractions.

The clinical efficacy and safety of Eroton in the treatment of erectile dysfunction in a group of 86 patients with ED of mixed origin was studied. Performance monitoring was carried out using questionnaires on the ICEF scale and Dopplerography. A significant improvement in sexual function was established according to the ICEF as a result of the course intake of Eroton. The clinical efficacy of Eroton is 90.7 %.
