This species is endemic to the Phil ip pi nes with five subspecies, phoebe Felder &Felder, 1861 in South andNorth Luzon, mindana Yamamoto &Takei, 1980 in northwest Mindanao, montana Roth schild, 1896 (= syn. Appias remedios canlaonensis Oka no & Okano, 1992) in North Negros, rowelli Schroeder & Tread away, 1982 in South Palawan, and zamorra Fel der & Felder, 1862 in Mindoro (Treadaway & Schroe der 2012). According to Tsukada et al. (1985), this spe cies is rare and found only in higher eleva tions. ...
