After the individual simulations were run, the challenge is now to explore the resulting ensemble of simulations to compare similarities and differences between them, and to set them into context to the underlying experiments that were conducted along with the simulations. This set of exploratory tasks leans itself toward a visual analysis approach in general (Munzner 2014), and ensemble visualization in particular (Sedlmair et al. 2014;Fofonov and Linsen 2019).
