A methodology for estimating the longevity of hydroturbine equipment elements under the action of alternating loads and having crack-like defects has been developed. The problem reduces to solving a hypersingular inte-gral equation. A study of the properties of an integral operator was carried out, which made it possible to obtain analytic solutions of the equation under consideration. To determine the critical number of cycles before destruction, the dependence of Paris was used; the stress intensity factor is found from the solution of the hypersingular equation. Numerical results characterizing the durability of structural elements with different initial defects are given.
