Religious character education is a serious challenge for formal educational institutions in Indonesia, especially when facing an era of disruption that has seen educational institutions digitized. Various efforts have been made, including integrating formal educational institutions with madrasah diniyah to strive for the development of students' religious character. Based on this, this research aims to examine education in madrasah diniyah, the integration model between madrasah diniyah and formal educational institutions, and the results of this integration. This research is qualitative, using a case study approach. This research was conducted at three educational institutions, namely Madrasah Diniyah Al-Furqon, MI Al-Furqon, and SDN 3 Panjang. The results of the research show that religious education at Madrasah Diniyah Al-Furqon has built a religious foundation and also the religious character of students. From this, institutional integration has been formed between Madrasah Diniyah Al-Furqon and MI Al-Furqon and cultural integration between Madrasah Diniyah Al-Furqon and SDN 3 Panjang. This integration makes students have deeper values: social awareness, discipline, worship, politeness, and also Islamic knowledge are greater than students who do not study at madrasah diniyah.

This study aims to find a new model in the development of Islamic Boarding Schools or well known as pesantren. By adopting a business system, pesantren can be developed by a franchise model. The data collection methods used in this study were interviews, observation, and documentation. From the data obtained, the results indicated a new model in the development of pesantren, namely the franchise model. The franchise model in pesantren can be perceived in three points. Firstly, the existence of the central pesantren as the control holder of branch pesantren. Secondly, the presence of royalties paid by the branch pesantren to the central pesantren in exchange for the given learning system. The royalty is not material but in the form of tahfidz students who have good character. It is in line with the purpose of the Tahfidz Daarul Qur’an Islamic Boarding School to print thousands of memorizers of the Qur’an in the archipelago. Thirdly, the existence of a standard learning system that can be adopted and followed by the branch pesantren.

This study aims to improve the ability of scientific literacy (SL) and science process skills (SPS) for the Islamic education science (PAI) students who will be a teacher in the future through microteaching activities. The approach used in this study is action-based research involving 34 students of PAI. Based on the data obtained, it can be concluded that the implementation of the microteaching method with the approach of LS and SPS has a positive impact on the improvement of LS and SPS for PAI students. For the ability that belongs to a high category, the LS aspect has reached 50%, while the SPS has reached 35.29%. For abilities with medium category, LS reaches 44.11% and SPS reaches 61.76%. The rest are the students with LS and SPS abilities with low categories. The results of this study recommend that it is necessary to have LS and SPS development training for all non-science teacher candidates, such as language teacher candidates, economics teacher candidates and so on through the same pattern (microteaching).

... Second, Lack of Personal Interaction: although technology allows for more flexible learning, it can also reduce face-to-face interaction between students and teachers and even between students. This is certainly not something that is okay, because the essence of forming character can be hampered (Afifah, 2023;Nurdianzah, Ma'arif, & Junaedi, 2024). Likewise in smart digital class learning at MA Sunniyah Selo, that in some cases, less interaction has occurred as a result of students focusing on individual information searches (Observation). ...
