“How do you tailor your teaching approach to meet the needs of linguistically diverse groups?” From my colleagues at Mainz University’s Faculty of Translation Studies, Linguistics, and Cultural Studies in Germersheim (FTSK), this question more often than not draws a blank stare. If pressed, they may well respond simply that there are no problems, or that students help each other. But is it really that simple?
